11:25 I know people have their preferences on what they like and don’t like, but The Stronghold is an absolute unit! I saved up credits and cranked out the piloting trait early on in my play through just to get this ship. All I can say in simple terms is that I agree 100% with everything being said about it in this video. I’ve only made a few tweaks to it for my liking and personal taste, but aside from that I can’t help but say this ship is an amazing ship and I don’t regret purchasing it! I renamed mine to be The Storm Bearer because it is a tank and has been in hundreds of ship battles and came out barely scratched. Even now I’m starting to encounter 100 ranked enemy ships and it still melts through them. To make a long story short, buy The Stronghold if you want to get your moneys worth, you won’t regret it!!!
Got me a Wight also but noticed immediately its Reactor was lacking horribly in available power allocation. Replaced the Stroud Eklund bridge with a more accommodating Deimos Bridge. Could do with rejigging the habs coz my god even the standard Wight upon acquiring it required memorising it's convoluted layout
On my latest run i built my first outpost on Bessel 3 b(lvl12) after i`d set it up i noticed a ship next to it a big one..checked it out and it was unlocked with no one on board so i thought free ship but damn my piloting skill was to low so i got it up to rank 3 came back and it was still to bloody low...i got rank 4 soon after and turns out there was a class C ship parked next to my outpost the mobility is sh*t but the cargo was over4000+(not sure what type it was but it was Crimson Fleet)
I really hope they put a ship buyer option where you can buy people’s pre made ships, I can’t build ships for the life of me, i have tired to copy step-by-step videos on RUclips and it become so hard because you don’t have all the parts and you have to fly around sourcing the parts it’s so difficult and awkward
I absolutely agree, I always feel like Im watching a bob ross painting video with those guides. They tell me how to do everything, but mine never comes out like what is shown.
I was able to commandeer a Va'Ruun Prophecy ship, and it's a monster. Cargo holds over 4500 with the 1 additional hold I added. Comes with 4120 originally. 24LY jump radius. The best freebie I've gotten so far. 730 shields and decent wpns, although not the best. My favorite all-arounder. Packed full of resources and ship parts! lol
@@Kashmere34 I don't remember. At that time, I was primarily running a souped-up Claymore, so it was probably that. I have since built my own fighter and cargo ship, so I no longer have the Prophecy or the Claymore.
I took over a Prophecy II that had landed in NG+1. 1300 shields (1600 after upgrades), 6k cargo, 30LY jump range, and strong weapons. Better than the Stronghold I purchased in my first playthrough. Va'Ruun ships have been good to me overall
Now sure how the Ecliptic Claymore III didn't make the list since it is better for stats than all of these class C ships. I got lucky and found it on a landing site, and got it for free but it is valued over 400k. It is even better than the Va'ruun Prophecy III which also is better than all the ships on this list which I also got for free by boarding it in space and taking it over.
I currently have the Crossbow set up as my home ship. While the interior layout is a bit weird / confusing I love the fact that it has plenty of living space for my whole crew.
7 crew members is the max you can buy a ship at but when making your own or altering a ship you can go up to 11 crew members and with class M mode you can go up to 18 crew members

Watch the reactor strength. The Narwhal has 36, very high for mid-game. Take your Narwhal to Deimos, strip off the non-functional structures, replace the lasers and cannons with particle beam and EMP, and you have a real killer. Unfortunately, the interior of the Narwhal is far from cozy. It's a long way to get from the cockpit to the docking bay, so if that is an issue, you might be better off with the Claymore, which doesn't have a strong reactor, but is fairly easy to acquire early in the game.
Please :D looking for a in depth guide on farming end game foods and chems ! Theres no videos anywhere on the recipies for foods and chems let alone how to farm them efficiently
For food, there's Boom! Pop! Dynamite, which is just blended soda. For that you could go to any Boom! Pop! machine and feed in credits. That one boosts movement speed, reload speed, and IIRC O2 recovery speed. It's a nice pick if you enjoy shotguns; and you should since they're amazing with Flechette rounds and actually maintain their full damage when modified for automatic fire.
at Akila City i buy the Crossbow 2 and the Stronghold and the Nimitz 2... for fighting very best nice ship. Yesterday the Highlander can buy in Akila. Looks the same to Stronghold with besser fitting.

Every new game I Frankenstein my Frontier ship so that it's a no ladder Claymore clone, lol. I don't run your cargo or range, but I still carry over 6k cargo with 90+ mobility.
I jacked a Crossbow class from the Crimson Fleet, found it on the grouns, board and storm! going to be stripping it for parts and remaking as I'm not a fan of the shape
Toying with upgrading my razorleaf to class C as it is currently a class B. Updated with turrets and missile pods and vanguard shield. The form factor of the ship hasn't changed much just some Stroud end caps on the outrig engines to smooth out the shape of the new engines, as well as better white dwarf engines, I replaced the captains quarters with a control station and currently the lower hab is a workshop though I'm probably going to just make is living quarters just to put a bed back on the ship. P.s. love having ship design 4 so I can alter the ship without really changing it's appearance much.
um....7 is NOT the maximum number of crew slots on a ship you can have in the game....Maybe what you meant is that is the highest you can get from a purchased ship? I have a ship that was originally a Va'Ruun Hymn and modified it to the point it's unrecognizable and I have 9 crew member slots

It is nice as one of the customized models. Keep an eye out for ships with unusual paint schemes. It's a nice way to get access to interesting parts before you're high enough in level for the mark II and mark III ships to show up.
Ecliptic Claymore, which seems to be a variant of the Dragonfire II. I've upgraded/replaced nearly every system and replaced a useless 1x1 Hab and Structural piece with a Nova Galactic 2x1 Workshop. Still looks (mostly) like I when I boarded it. I do love the look of the Stronghold though. I'm just more from the school of "capture and upgrade" than the "save and buy" class. @@nolgroth Same. I found a Claymore II. Not done upgrading yet but it is a do it all monster. Captain quarters and battle station on top deck. Armory and living quarters on bottom deck with Nova workshop and science lab for all the work stations leading back. All in one birth b above science lab gives the only ladder on the ship at the very back, to get up to use the top docker. 9 crew 9 passengers. I slightly changed the looks of the engine section and instead of 1 on each side I have 2 on each. Using the engines unlocked by the overdesigned quest. 90 mobility. 5k cargo.
Was flying a modded Stronghold for a while but recently switched over and modded a Kepler R from the Walter Stroud questline. Much faster and easier to navigate within and just as capable.
I dumped my garbage Starborn ship and stole a random Eclipse II from Spacers and then outfitted it with every top rated Class-C system, especially weapons, essentially invincible with quad phase turrets, I barely can get a missile lock before it destroys enemy ships. I also have 4 EM cannons when I want to actually capture a ship. Has almost 7,000 storage and space for 7, all for about 200K in upgrade costs and $50K in registration. This is my favorite ship in the game, even more so than my Class-C upgraded Star Eagle. I love the bridge layout with stairs instead of ladders.

Finish the very first mission in the UC Vanguard quest line "Grunt Work", and you not only get access to the best weapons and shields in the game, but are immediately offered the Crimson Fleet quest line.
Better off making a ship with a similar profile. You can do a no-ladder build with over 6k cargo and 92 mobility using the same cockpit and a lot of the same aesthetics.
Advanced weaponary and Kevlar ship instead of saying its a strong metal? Nevertheless just say its been a long day and get some rest and im going to watch more of your videos ok deal?

Navigating a ship with lots of ladders means you turn your scanner on and it will guide you to the pilot seat if you set your self a mission off world. And the same trick will get you to your boarding ramp. You can also steal an Ecliptic Claymore and that will give you a class c ship with a massive double layer bridge and that will cut out more than a few ladders. Also, pay attention to which modules are pass through and which ones are not. For example, almost ALL manufactures of the 2x1 computer core module have a back wall that can’t be passed through so if you want a computer core, make sure it’s to the stern of your ship. A great line up that applies functionally and crew is to have cockpit, control stations, captains quarters, computer core at the end. And with the double deck bridge I mentioned before, on the lower level add an armory and an engineering with workshop to one side of engineering, and science lab to the other side. Add a all in one living quarters to one side of the Comer l computer core and an all in one birth to the other side. The important thing is to be consistent with your build. Even when you steal a ship, be sure to edit it to a standard lay out that your familiar with.
If your buying ships in starfield, your missing out on some great fun. Find your self a low G moon in Masada and camp for the best ships. Keep loading that step out auto save to till something you like lands for you to steal. 3 of the ships listed here can be easily stolen from crimson fleet when doing pirates bounty and kill missions from free star rangers, trackers alliance, and sysdef.
These ships are all over priced you can get a few c glass faction "III" ships that outclass these and cost alot less as usually just need a shield upgrade 1 weapon changed to particle and they better. Picked up a Varuun "III" and it had better flat stats than any of the ones in any of the shops and even looks way better
Maybe max you can BUY. I am using the Abyss Trekker as my foundation and I've modded it quite a bit, plus i have lots of skill points that help boost this stat
One thing about buying ships: once you get somewhat prolifient in ship building none of these offerings are interesting anymore. Because you can BUILD the ship to your likings. 😉✌️
Vanilla cargo capacity isn't just low, it's a complete joke. The Frontier has that wedge cargo at the back but can only hold about as much as the player with the weight lifting skill - on a ship that has tens of tons of mass. It's still a bit early for esp mods, but I absolutely had to get one that simply multiplies all cargo containers storage by three. That feels much more realistic.
Half of these are pure junk. The 3 strongest best all around ships are as follows: 1. Vanquisher III; 2. Renegade III; 3. Crimson Fleet Wight III. Let me know when you find these and re-do this vid. ;)
make money? lol you mean 11k at a time then wait 2 days. Most I have seen you can make at shops next to each other are in the key where you can make like 25k before resetting them. Im at a level now where 1 weapon I sell bankrupts every vendor and I have over 100 to sell. It's pathetic
IIRC they share interiors with Hopetech and both have a lot of wasted space. Personally I like mixing Nova Galactic and Deimos interiors, the former has good functionality while the later has nice aesthetics for larger habs.

I'm flying Class B ship with only a Level 2 piloting skill.
I’ve built ships that have 12 crew slots.
I have 9 crew slots, so 7 is NOT the max :)
7 is not the max crew in the ship..ive seen someone with 10...i have 9 total and almost maxed everything
i feel like this dude doesn't understand what a "massive" cargo capacity is or just has never played the game for more than 20 minutes
Renegade III
Prophecy 3 best
Vanilla cargo capacity isn't just low, it's a complete joke. The Frontier has that wedge cargo at the back but can only hold about as much as the player with the weight lifting skill - on a ship that has tens of tons of mass. It's still a bit early for esp mods, but I absolutely had to get one that simply multiplies all cargo containers storage by three. That feels much more realistic.
I stole the Wraith on a planet too
Have 70000 cargo Mass
Why spend credits for a ship when you get some for free and modify them.
Narwhal
Half of these are pure junk. The 3 strongest best all around ships are as follows: 1. Vanquisher III; 2. Renegade III; 3. Crimson Fleet Wight III. Let me know when you find these and re-do this vid. ;)
It’s Abyss not Abis
make money? lol you mean 11k at a time then wait 2 days. Most I have seen you can make at shops next to each other are in the key where you can make like 25k before resetting them. Im at a level now where 1 weapon I sell bankrupts every vendor and I have over 100 to sell. It's pathetic
Steal yourself a Valentine ;)
Tayio is the only manufacturer I'm not a fan of.
I like straight stroud look
The Narwal is one of the best out of the box ships in the game
It only needs a few modifications
IIRC they share interiors with Hopetech and both have a lot of wasted space. Personally I like mixing Nova Galactic and Deimos interiors, the former has good functionality while the later has nice aesthetics for larger habs.
why does he start repeating himself at the end is this an editing error
*VA`RUUN PROFHECY III*
None of this matters. The game keeps crashing making all your efforts pointless
I would love to know how that Ship Right gets around? I mean dude is at every port.
He's actually one of the more innocuous Starborn. It's the same guy but from multiple universes. I hear he is also one of the first Starborn and has had quite a few chats with his alternates so that they provide pretty consistent service.
I just made that up.
Thank you because I was thinking my person was a crazy person lol@@nolgroth
I wanna purchase the dragon fire..standing at the vendor now…mobility is in the 40s ughh
No thanks! U can keep them. I LOVE MY STAR EAGLE! IM AT LEVEL 45 I DONT DO LASZERS I STICK WITH MY MISSES. IVE UPGRADED IT. GREAT ALL AROUND SHIP.
I am making a ship similar to the star eagle in design but its alot bigger and 100 mobiliy 8 weapon units and more cargo
If you modify the Star Eagle it’s is a good ship
@@FP194 it is i love the suppressors on it im at level 50 so i cant put them on but the rest is able to melt ships easily it currently is 3 balastic 3 laser and 2 missile
