@@noc1891yeah it’s a mod. the structural piece in the thumbnail is an M class ship part and there are some mods that allow you to unlock all M class parts in shipyard star stations. i know this because i have the mod
Those engines use 4 energy so you can only have 3. There are other really good class C engines that only use 2 energy so you can have 6, making them better.
@@eugenepalmer470 The engine he is recommending is 34k thrust and 11k turning. The one I'm talking about, SAL 6830, is 18k thrust and 8.8k turning. So total thrust is 108k with 6 SALs, and only 102 with 3 of his. Turning is even more extreme difference.
I like the class A's that only use 2, plus there's the class A's that use 3, but have the highest max speed in the game at 180. You can use them on class B and C builds to have amazing speed while still having plenty of energy for shields and weapons. Remember, especially when considering energy and mass many "lower" class items are actually better.
I didn't find leveling up to be slow or grindy at all. I kinda "no man's sky'ed" it. I'd do something til I got bored and then did something else. I scanned planets, fauna, flora, and etc. then I fooled around with outposts then maybe some ship building after that maybe some city exploration and side quests, then steal some ships, then go kill some POI gangs. I did the same thing in NMS.

I don't know if it's a bug or something, but I already have the 6830's available and the only "Walter mission" I did was the All that money can buy quest. When you end up talking with Slayton, you have to use the diplomatic solution and tell him that Walter can be a buisness partner. Also, do not kill the artifact thief. I have the engines available at my outpost shilpbuilder. Didn't install them yet because I simply decked out my Razorleaf with the best class B reactor (39 base power), 4x White Dwarf 3015 (fastest engines available), mass around 900 and the highest DPS class B weapons. It's a fast and maneuverable heavy fighter with 1000 cargo (enough for me as I store everything at one of my outposts) and shreds level 50+ Starborn ships like they're paper towels. I'll have to build a class C eventually to try my luck at Kryx and Serpentis.
As I said in another reply, you haven't yet figured out, speed and power to move mass, are not listed specifications... The thrust and maneuver thrust are deceptive, because they AREN'T speed or ability to move mass. Think of them as a rating within their speed and power class, because that's what they are. Try attaching other engines, and see how the speed and ability to move greater or less mass, varies. The speed ranges from 180, to 130. Class A has the fastest, B slower, C slowest. The power to move mass is totally unlisted and can only be seen by attaching different engines and seeing how the maneuver ratings drops, per mass. Class A has the least power, moves less mass, B more, C most. It's all about class. A fast, B middle ground of mass and speed, C massive ships, but the slowest.
yup. If you want the biggest, heaviest C class ship, 6 SAL-6830s will allow you to almost exceed the game's ship part count and still have 80-90 maneuvering thrust. In fact, for most use cases, 4 is enough, and you can choose other engines for aesthetics.
@@romxxii Yep, the main ship I'm running has a mass of 4719 cargo of 12570 and it is still at 84 or 86 maneuverability with six of the SAL-6830 engines with a 30 lightyear jump range with the max number of ship parts the game allows without mods.
I also like the 6830 but the Poseidon works if your trying to get a certain look with the ship the Poseidon is nice, since you use 3 the back doesn't have to be so wide. it's also really powerful, gives me 95 mobility hauling 9k of cargo with my perks, and for some reason it also has a top speed with my perks of 178 and it boosts over 600, all in a mid sized heavy C class ship.
Actually the induction grid DOES STACK.. if you take a bigger ship to Bannoch 4 during your Crimson Fleet Mission, and you only have 1, the energy field will destroy your ship. Put a second induction grid on and that protects your ship to go on with the mission.
7:34 I feel that this can easily be misunderstood (it kind of makes it sound like having a shielded cargo is optional). While having a scan jammer is optional, having a shielded cargo is not. If you are smuggling contraband having a shielded cargo is required, if you only have a scan jammer and no shielded cargo your contraband will be detected 100% of the time (it will be the same as jumping into a system with contraband on your player inventory), all the scan jammer does is make your shield on your already installed shielded cargo module more effective by making it even harder to scan your ship.
It actually says in the information box on the scan jammer in ship building that you need to have shielded cargo holds for it to work. Don't know how that's being misinterpreted.

However I find this unlikely, because people tends to focus more to what is being said rather than what is being written. Also, not everyone watches the video at max resolution in full screen or theater mode, If you watch it at a lower resolution, in default view or using a picture-in-picture browser extension, then it's very likely that you might have missed that point completely.
Shielded cargo is not 100%. It's best to have it AND a jammer. 100's of hours of play as a pirate ;) Plus shielded cargo modules are available in The Key as well as Porrima.
Actually, if you side with the Crimson fleet, you can buy the two parts from Jasmine at any time after the mission concludes. As you pointed out, if you want them on other ships to be sure and put them on before heading out to the Legacy [you can also get scan jammers from Jas]. There is another requirement for those engines, they are only at certain staryards. Nova Galactic and Demios do not have them but Stroud, Taiyo and Hopetech do. I'm lvl 76 with 4 piloting and 4 ship design... some staryards have certain engines, cargo, weapons, even reactors; the others do not. Each staryard has their own style of structure and hab parts. I prefer the Vanguard Obliterator Autoprojector (still 2 power each, so you can have 6). Shreds shields mega-quick, then I can swap to EM and disable or missiles and destroy. Some of the items you said you can only get from staryards, ground dockers, some landing gear are available for the large outpost landing pad. Otherwise, great info!
Unless it’s due to the very big update recently, IF you chose to be part of the crimson fleet the com spike and other device that you unlock via missions with them are always available from them for any ship. I also know that you can actually become the enemy of Sys-Def by telling Ikande to basically pound sand during the interrogation when you get arrested for something the first time in UC space so now you can do the crimson fleet as an actual pirate. While occasionally the dialog in the game seems to make it sound like you’re still an undercover operative for Sys-Def, this is certainly not true. Once marked an enemy, the Crimson Fleet actually sends you a legitimate invitation to join. There are other cool things you get from joining the Fleet. All that aside, a lot of these parts are available in more than one place. There are MANY places that sell unique items but they’re holes in the wall. Wolf system has a space port for example that sells unique stuff, Crimson Fleet sells some unique stuff, Red Mile, etc. anywhere that has a ship builder that is kinda out of the way and in a weird location or has some kind of unique back story, has unique parts.
I have the max scan jammer and shielded cargo on my ship and together it gets me 89% chance to avoid detection. The other equipment is only available from the Crimson Fleet questline, Commspike.
Don't know why you would since they don't stack but you can duplicate the conduction grid and the comspike by duplicating the piece they are attached to. Even after destroying the crimson fleet.

I know this old but I just wanted to say that some of these parts are also available at your outpost ship-builder if you have one. Once you've met the requirments of course.
That hope tech spine is alot more specifical then you think. It's as far as I know the only hab that doors go in that direction and CAN'T BE ENTERED FROM THE BOTTOM! (you can't see my hands but I'm giving those ladders the bird) by placing this on nova Galactic 2 story bridge and a regular hab under you can create 2 story ship with no ladders and by using the tiayo habs that prevent entry from the side and the other part that is basicly this part but flipped 90 degrees. You can control exactly where the doors and ladders will be. It sucks you have to do this but thats how it goes.
Regarding the Equipment category, I'm surprised they didn't introduce ECM pods yet. That way it will make it easier for your ship to break a target lock from an enemy ship.
The Slayton Aerospace SAL-6830 is a better engine IMO because their max power needed is only 2 so you can have a max of six Slayton Aerospace SAL-6830 engines when you add up all the stats of six of those they have more of both engine thrust and maneuvering thrust than three of the Poseidon DT230 engines do which is the max number of those you can have because of the 4 power needed for one Poseidon DT230 engine.
Shielded cargo doesn't automatically conceal contraband from the customs. It works in pair with your skills and scan jammer. Without it the contraband will be easily revealed to authorities (as well as keeping it in your own pockets).
You could have done this video without the clickbait and it would have been fine. Instead, you dangled fake and modded pieces and made it underwhelming and tacky.
The last weapon and the turret version of the C class ships are the best in my opinion. I went up against three crimson fleet ships with them and the pirates were blown apart before they got their first shots off. I was shocked they went down so fast, but they have become my all-time favorite ship weapons because of it. I wonder what they would go against the Ecliptic battleship. I always encounter it when I am in an A or weak B class ship at a very low level normally under 20 and have never even fought it yet. The I never come across it against after level 20 for some reason.
Put those crimson fleet items on your ships that can't be sold plus a couple more. That way if you build outa new ship, use one that has these jammer on it. I have 5 ships i like. But only 1 with jammers. I messed up... detection avoiding at 95%. Drops to 75% without. Only a few items in large shield cargo. Ratio matters.
the pinch 8a is better due to hull going over 2k, and with ship parts repairing only 4%, youll want yes amounts of hull. sal-6330s are the best engines, capable of snapping necks at every tu-, wait thats the no skip main unlocked 6830s

Those autocannons won't be of any use if you're up against ships with a long range, as you will be melted before you even get in range with that pathetic 800 range.
The scan jammer doesn't do crap without a shielded cargo hold, and a shielded cargo hold doesn't completely block scans... plus the scan jammers and sheilded cargo holds are also available from the crimson fleet... come on man... it's like it's amateur hour over here
I agree. And the outpost shipbuilder landing pad seems like the perfect place to do so, as the sheer size of the thing looks like the perfect place to store unused components. I would also like the option to build a ship from scratch, without needing an existing ship as a donor. I imagine a system where you unlock components from the different vendors, and then order them from the ship builder landing pad. That way you wouldn't need to add placeholder components at one place, only to replace them with the ones you want somewhere else.
And the ability to do a walk through in shipbuilding add/move/ delete ladder and doorways. Turning habs that align north-south to east west. Love the game but there are so many aspects to that feel about 80% done.

Nice content, but I'll have to correct you on something. That pertains to crimson fleet unique conduction and coms spike. Your partly right on final mission yes if you choose uc but if you go crimson like I did you can keep going back to that ship vender on the key and put those items onto every ship even well after that mission is done. I'm crimson fleet ranger vanguard and constellation all in one I made sara Merry a pirate lol but yes if you want I'll show you what I'm saying is telling you the truth I had put those on my razorleaf first and then put them on ever ship following I'm just over 500 playing this game

I'm not the most patient person that I've ever met 🤔 have I met myself ? Anyways , so I downloaded a mod called ultimate ship parts unlocked . Only problem is , now I have the most powerful ship in the universe . And there's nothing left to work towards . I still get points for blowing up other ships , but I've maxed out my pilot skills and my ship design skills .

The Pinch 8Z and SF40 have 40 power output. There's one class B reactor with 39, the 104DS Mag Inertial (which is the one I installed on my Razorleaf).

@@R3LF13 Yeah, at level 35 you still have a few things hidden. I think everything is unlocked at level 60. I pretty much spam crafted adaptive frames from level 30-ish to 60 once I setup an outpost on a moon where I could find iron and aluminum... Bessel III-B if I'm not mistaken. If you can find the goldilock area, you can extract iron, aluminum, nickel and cobalt at the same time... which sadly I didn't find

A lot of this information is inaccurate. The engines he listed are very, very far from being the "best". And scan jammers and shielded cargo are available on the Key, not just at Red Mile.

Actually... You can install these two at any time after completing the quest line via the ship builder at the key. In shipbuilder it's located in the equipment tab.

I didn't realize that the Com Spike was so useful. The Conduction Grid and Com Spike are classified as equipment.
The Slayton Aerospace SAL-6830 is a better engine IMO because their max power needed is only 2 so you can have a max of six Slayton Aerospace SAL-6830 engines when you add up all the stats of six of those they have more of both engine thrust and maneuvering thrust than three of the Poseidon DT230 engines do which is the max number of those you can have because of the 4 power needed for one Poseidon DT230 engine.

Shielded cargo doesn't automatically conceal contraband from the customs. It works in pair with your skills and scan jammer. Without it the contraband will be easily revealed to authorities (as well as keeping it in your own pockets).
You could have done this video without the clickbait and it would have been fine. Instead, you dangled fake and modded pieces and made it underwhelming and tacky.
The last weapon and the turret version of the C class ships are the best in my opinion. I went up against three crimson fleet ships with them and the pirates were blown apart before they got their first shots off. I was shocked they went down so fast, but they have become my all-time favorite ship weapons because of it. I wonder what they would go against the Ecliptic battleship. I always encounter it when I am in an A or weak B class ship at a very low level normally under 20 and have never even fought it yet. The I never come across it against after level 20 for some reason.
Put those crimson fleet items on your ships that can't be sold plus a couple more. That way if you build outa new ship, use one that has these jammer on it. I have 5 ships i like. But only 1 with jammers. I messed up... detection avoiding at 95%. Drops to 75% without. Only a few items in large shield cargo. Ratio matters.

the pinch 8a is better due to hull going over 2k, and with ship parts repairing only 4%, youll want yes amounts of hull.

Those autocannons won't be of any use if you're up against ships with a long range, as you will be melted before you even get in range with that pathetic 800 range.
The Hope 55 landing gear (thrust 4/mass 3) are technically better than the NG-20 (thrust 4/ mass 4).
Comspike and Conduction Grid are in equipment.. if you make the correct decision.
The scan jammer doesn't do crap without a shielded cargo hold, and a shielded cargo hold doesn't completely block scans... plus the scan jammers and sheilded cargo holds are also available from the crimson fleet... come on man... it's like it's amateur hour over here

I agree. And the outpost shipbuilder landing pad seems like the perfect place to do so, as the sheer size of the thing looks like the perfect place to store unused components.
I would also like the option to build a ship from scratch, without needing an existing ship as a donor.
I imagine a system where you unlock components from the different vendors, and then order them from the ship builder landing pad. That way you wouldn't need to add placeholder components at one place, only to replace them with the ones you want somewhere else.
And the ability to do a walk through in shipbuilding add/move/ delete ladder and doorways. Turning habs that align north-south to east west.
Love the game but there are so many aspects to that feel about 80% done.

Nice content, but I'll have to correct you on something. That pertains to crimson fleet unique conduction and coms spike. Your partly right on final mission yes if you choose uc but if you go crimson like I did you can keep going back to that ship vender on the key and put those items onto every ship even well after that mission is done.
I'm crimson fleet ranger vanguard and constellation all in one I made sara Merry a pirate lol but yes if you want I'll show you what I'm saying is telling you the truth I had put those on my razorleaf first and then put them on ever ship following

Only problem is , now I have the most powerful ship in the universe . And there's nothing left to work towards . I still get points for blowing up other ships , but I've maxed out my pilot skills and my ship design skills .

The Pinch 8Z and SF40 have 40 power output. There's one class B reactor with 39, the 104DS Mag Inertial (which is the one I installed on my Razorleaf).

@@R3LF13 Yeah, at level 35 you still have a few things hidden. I think everything is unlocked at level 60.
I pretty much spam crafted adaptive frames from level 30-ish to 60 once I setup an outpost on a moon where I could find iron and aluminum... Bessel III-B if I'm not mistaken. If you can find the goldilock area, you can extract iron, aluminum, nickel and cobalt at the same time... which sadly I didn't find

A lot of this information is inaccurate. The engines he listed are very, very far from being the "best". And scan jammers and shielded cargo are available on the Key, not just at Red Mile.

Actually... You can install these two at any time after completing the quest line via the ship builder at the key. In shipbuilder it's located in the equipment tab.
