@@ducklink1808no, you won’t. Because the ship is designed by a player and not anything that spawns in the game.
I’ve noticed if I hard-save at the door before entering a ship like this (just encountered a Va’ruun ship with no one around and it tried to take off as I entered. Just keep reloading the save and usually within a few tries the ship will not try to take off.

And don’t want to have the worst hassle of getting a new ship, not being able to return to your favorite ship? Get them on the ground and keep them there to be able to return to your favorite ship quickly. if you take over the ship (whether it has a crew of not) you can do this: while sitting in the cockpit (don’t leave) instead go into the character menu and go to the ship section. From there find the new ship, now make it your home ship (optional pay registration/cheaper this way vs at ports) now get out of the ship and fast travel to the ship landing area where your previous ship was. Enter go through menu to make it your home ship and you will have successfully acquired a ship without having to go to a port to reacquire your ship. Hope this was helpful to someone.
After the 300h mark, I can say that the only ship worth capturing is the Ecliptic Claymore, because it is so much different (the Cabot bridge) from the rest, and it has good stats. But most base ships are poor, they can't compare with what you can build yourself. I got to the 10 ship limit pretty fast, and new players must know that you need at least a free ship slot for certain quests, or just for when you encounter and want to capture a better ship. Credits are easy to make, just clear a base like the Vulture Roost on Jaffa IV a few times, and sell all the contraband and weapons.
The wanted perk and ship hunting in Fermi or Serpentis is the best bet to get a Claymore III. You can get one as soon as you’re able to pilot class C ships. The hard part is actually winning the fight, disabling and capturing the ship. They spawn pretty reliably in those two systems.

Some ships could be entered by a bug in the front window, are the ships with big room cabine.
Walk with your character down in the left window, your character fall by the window inside the ship.
But do a save before because you not could touch the things inside. The load entering in the ship nees happens.
But i found this days back.
You can sell any ship without registering it. The ship you want to sell needs to be in the last ship spot. Go to home ship and press lb and A it will ask you if you want to sell the ship 😅
This really still works after patch? I tried but couldn’t get it to work
@@RoninRose541it does work still. Been doing it every time since i accidentally found out 😆 also sometimes instantly spawning your ship at a city removes the registering for some reason, this works but not always, it's random.

I can't do it on PC, it used to work but it was very spotty, but now I can't get it to work at all. I could use a controller but I'm used to keybd.
Try search in the far sides from the maps, some ships just spawn if you arrive near the far places. And another hint, try not be seeing by the ias out from ships, the ias insside have 80% chance of flyaway if the ias out notice you. Use camuflage helmet and not go with the companion, the ias not see you but the companion alert they.

Can't remember where, but I landed at a random location.
I started with owning just the frontier and razorleaf, when I took off about thirty mins later a owed 4 more ships that had all landed practically on top of my ship.
Looked like a parking lot
Since I reached the last mission, I just get starborn ships everywhere I go…
My game has been like that since the beginning. 80% plus are all starborn.
Yea it’s annoying your better off going to new game plus bc the starboard ship landing causes the empty ship glitch

There is no fracking station for me on Porrima IV-c
I downloaded the beta patch and it no doubt fixed a lot of issues and the game is running great, but it caused a major problem, I'm no longer getting random ships landing on planets or random ships already on planets. I'm hoping they fix this soon, it takes a lot away from the game since I enjoyed borrowing ships on planets. Before I downloaded the patch I did notice the same thing that these fracking stations spawned a lot of ships.
The human need for fuel is insatiable so fuel processing, refining and extraction locations should have a lot of traffic
don't forget to loot the ships prior to registering them. the loot will be gone once you register it
Seems to be a good trick to finally get more classy and interesting shaped parts. At the beginning of the game only designing rather ugly ships that look like three bricks welded together is possible - because there are only these brick shaped units (with living quarters, command deck etc. inside) and simple engines, a simple strut-like gear type, fuel tank, and two cockpit types available. Almost no rounded fairings no covers no good-looking wings or any other decorative elements for beautiful ships design are available.
Are the rare parts of stolen ships permanently available as crafting design parts at the dry docks after selling such a ship?
Lol, it's random. More ships are landing or landed on planets, not because of grcking stations. I find 2 to 3 ships by my outposts. Most have already landed. None of the ships have crews. So you can fly off. What a bunch of BS.

The planet JAFFA IV-c is none existent for me.
And if you find rare ships on maps try kill all ias near. Kill the ias inside and search if ias are walking far from the ship because some times the game not open the door from the ship if you enter killing all, but before you do the ship yours a mesaage could appear saying you not is alowed to sit, if you have skills for the ship, sure ias are walking far from the ship and unless if them come back or you find them the ship not open more the door and you couldnot sit.
Its a bug. If you go do other things before you do the ship your, the game normaly soawn a different ship.
I had this bug sometimes.
That is a great location to steel ships. 😁
Who dosen’t love a good fracking
Going to give this a go. One thing I always do when ship hunting is, when I've acquired the new ship, I fast travel back to my original landing site and make my main ship home again. That way, I know I'll never get stuck with a ship with limited range that I have to make multiple jumps in to get back to "civilization".
I can see you used the console command to pilot unauthorised ships on the Longsword there. There are a number of ships in space you can get using that method, for example, the companion Betty Howser has a ship when you first meet her. You have to give her ship parts to gain her as crew and her ship the "Lucky Lu" will fly off once you undock, never to be seen again. I waited until she'd left the ship then used that command to grab hers before going back to my own ship. Easy freebie. I've used the same method to get The Warlock from one of the UC Vanguard missions, at least one derelict freighter and there's probably others it will work on. Of course, it means disabling achievements but I've never cared about them.

Stealing ships isn't an issue unless you mod or modify the .ini files to reduce the "BGS Antipiracy tax from 84% registration cost" to something more reasonable after all the registration cost is simply a delete funds from you mechanic for no benefit like the extended warranty encounter.
FYI, your information is completely out of date. As of 4/19/2024 not only do i not get a ship landing sound and visual; but there is no Fracking station on Porrima IV or in the Porrima System. I did find one in Altair System but NO ships. Apparently stealing the landed/landing ships is not a viable option. I got really lucky on one planet (I forget which one) and a landing site just appeared out of nowhere. It was an Endeaver.
The ships you find alone without ias out and inside have them walking far.
Just try do a test, enter and not do the ship yours, just go do other things and stay alert loocking because the ias walking far come back and is funny see them spawn bein attacked by you.
All ships have ias, but some go far and come back after sime time.
i spend 1 full day trying to get out of the Masada star system cause after the ship i stole it only had 15 lyr warp so i had to keep waiting and waiting and waiting for another ship to spawn and it was horrible. never doing that again

I am completely unable to steal the UC Vanguard ships. I don't have a problem with anything else though. I think it depends on your affiliations, my character is Vanguard this time around which is probably what prevents it because I am maxed out on all related skills and I'm over the level limit for all ships in the game. Maybe need to try a different affiliation next time and see if it works 🤷♀

I was able to grab 2 va'ruun c class ships 1 spacer c class and 1 sysdef c class in space. I can't steal ships from the ground because it's bugged. Landing bays aren't open
Same. Any ships I find or run to never have their bays open for me to go inside. And I’m on NG+ 4 😊

I can't see anything labelled "fracking" on any planets.
Since the last update I've not been able to steal any ships planetside because the ramp isn't down. Really annoying.
Mine was bugged from level 65 to 71. As soon as I hit level 72 the landing ramps came down but no NPCs on the ships, no NPCs were for both land and space battle.
Once a starboard ship lands on a planet ur gonna get the empty ship glitch

@@CraigDuka Hoipefully it clears up for you but same thing. Did not matter if a Starborn ship landed or not. Once I hit 72 at least the boarding ramps came down. On NG+5 now and have never had it happen during New Game + fortunately. I really with they would just remove the Guardian ships as they have no useful value and just screws up the spawning of any other ships doing the story line. You get a little XP from the space battle and that is it.

Any Idea what the scoop is with the Watchdog ship?? I have one located near my outpost & it's been there for days. I actually see them quite often landing close to where I am. I never see anyone enter or leave the ship & It's a class B ship.
Maybe a smuggler? Sometimes empty ships land and you can just take them, I had two Vanguard ships land near my outposts and I didn't want to steal them since I was in the Vanguard that play through, but they never left so when I went to check them out they were empty, so I kept one and upgraded it and sold the other one.
How did you steal the Longsword? I'm fully leveled in everything and the game won't let me.

He is playing with God mode and using jet pack. In God mode, he doesn't use jet packs "action points," which means he can use jet pack endlessly. And you can see in the video that he has infinite ammo because of the God mode.
