Not everyone eating the carnivore diet eats sheep and goat products but they are most certainly included in the carnivore diet. My point is that many carnivores are taking advantage of the MCT benefits. Various diets short term can be very beneficial. Most mainstream diets except SAD have a short term place that offers benefits for most humans. However unlike strict life long vegans who claim they live longer and have the #1 most healthy diet on earth (not at all true) there are carnivores who have 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70 years of being strict carnivore and there is no “whale” or shark or anything beneath them about to take them out. The conclusion you’ve drawn based on 3 patients who apparently have compromised and “sticky” artery surfaces is not “proof” that a keto or carnivore diet is not adequate and is not extremely beneficial for both overall health and longevity. The fact is that we don’t have more than one stomach compartment and the intestinal tract and lower colon are generally challenged with competing bacteria due to the wide variety of types of foods we eat that need to be processed, the gut simply doesn’t have compartments to do the various processing that in some ways requires there to be separation. This causes pronounced gut inflammation to the point of many men looking 9 months pregnant ALL of the time. It causes malaise, unclear cognition, insomnia, poor bowel elimination and many other dysfunctions leading to disease. This includes the guts of those who are NOT eating the standard processed diet. Per this video, you would likely respond that “no their guts are compromised due to NOT enough microbiome and the right microbiome”. You might want to tell our distant ancestors that they should have been eating more plant based foods that bring about more diverse microbiome in order to digest their fats and proteins. Although these same predecessors were primarily hunters and gathers of meat, fish, poultry, eggs, and only a few plant foods and fungi, tell them they were not fit and capable of living like animals in the wild, unlike ourselves who often cannot make it to our desks or couches. I have not poured over all of your books so I cannot speak to your theories in depth. I am responding to what is misleading in this video.

      Perfectly said..
I was vegan for 3 years
I learned a lot, I enjoyed it and still incorporate plantbase food and meals but I started having problems
I started off right but then I became a vegan junk head, started to realize most of the vegan packaged foods had so many inflammatory oils
I went back to eating meat..
I learned about the different diets which I know them to be elimination diets…
So through watching various people and learning about the diets I concluded that certain diets are good for a certain length of time as you stated..
I don’t think that any one diet should be done for a long length of time
I honestly they all should be incorporated, they should be interchangeable, I realize that I was actually doing them without noticing
      But your statement was awesome

@@zealbell7817 Hey Zeal, thanks. So our patients cannot regenerate damaged joints IF they are what we call chronically, hyper-dedicated vegans. In fact pescatarians, lacto ovo vegetarians, intermittent vegans and vegetarians, are also all at risk for many musculoskeletal, mental health, cognitive, autoimmune, immune, and other degenerative issues. This is because their bodies not only do not make enough collagen to support the structures and cells but they are also deficient in just about every part of the body that needs collagen - everything. They can appear fine, good skin, intelligence, emotional stability, good oxygenation and good muscle tone (in fact many athletes swear by veganism) however once we go deeper into their health and well being, we find the loop holes that are stealthy but nevertheless underway. These generally show up initially as weaknesses in terms of what holds the joints and takes the force of movement, the ligaments and tendons. Of course bones can lack proper density in anyone with nutrient deficiency, including children. Both osteoporosis and osteoarthritis can be seen in young children. And there is almost always a significant difference in focus and attention span with nutrient deficient children, including those who are vegan, as well as adults who eat only plants. Strict vegans are the only patients we have been unable to treat effectively over 3 decades. We do not recommend a vegan diet even for short term gains. We also caution the extreme “opposite” end, the carnivore diet, whatever that might actually mean. Most people can eat a fairly heavy animal protein AND fat diet and can heal all sorts of ailments. Is it a permanent diet? No, it is not a permanent solution for everyone, not even for more than a very few. Remember we get our start in life on some sort of diet and often the long term carnivores (so called) started early on carnivore. There are of course some who started late in life on carnivore and have been going for 10-20 years and doing well. A word about grains. We have to have a separate compartment to ferment grains to assimilate them. We do not have such a compartment. Some do better than others but think of all of the enzymes and bacteria needed to eat grains along with assimilating protein (easy because it’s the amino acids in protein that simply separate out and get assimilated) and fats (when they are healthy fats) are also easy to digest. Lastly, fruits and vegetables require lock and key enzymes. But grains must ferment in order to break down properly in the gut. They require a lot of bacteria and varied bacteria. That is why cultures who MUST eat grains to survive often have many fermentation processes they use (culturing) BEFORE consuming the grains. So back to what works. We have to find the sweet spots due to mostly a lifetime of eating habits and toxic load (as well as unique genetics) as we consider generations of food intake in addition to situational present day specifics in terms of digestion and health. The latter has changed over time and sometimes has changed rapidly. The key is to find what works and change and adapt as one goes along. This is the smart approach, as we are each 100% with our body at all times. Everyone other than the person themself is just guessing as to how it’s going. One caveat however, everyone makes the mistake here and there of thinking something is good when it’s really something else (or a combination of various components) that is causing improvement, or something is bad when it’s not. Utilizing some outside help that is astute is often beneficial. But it’s mostly our personal journey. We have to get smart and smarter at the same time we get healthy and healthier. 👊

I’ve watched many keto videos over the years and have had amazing results with it.
One question that I’ve never heard talked about came to my mind today on Valentines day as I was eating fatty meat at about 10pm at the bbq.
How long do you have to use your fat intake as energy? If I go to sleep and wake up in 8 or 9 hours is that fat from the meat eaten at night able to energize me for the next day or will it get stored?

Dr Gundry has said since the plant paradox that beef and goat have that gene. Only chicken fish does not. He encourages goat milk over cow because most lactose intolerant people who still want milk can use goat milk because it’s better on your gut.

Not everyone does well on MCT oil and some people do really well on a fruit salad. This is called
biological individuality. No particular diet should be turned into a religion. You have to find out what
works best for you. We are all unique. There are cultures that thrive on carbs - The Tsimane for example.

Actually, the parasites in their bodies “thrive on carbs”. They also have many infections. Due to their high caloric intake, they have to be 2-3x more physically active. They eat wild game, roots and carbs but not the simple carbs the Western world eats. I would not say they have the ideal lifestyle.

    • @gafam7251

OK, so u ingest MCT oil. Next from the gut via the portal vein its delivered to ur liver, and from there its converted into signaling molecules (ketones) which are responsible for uncoupling mitochondria.
