Is Pahrump still having problems with "poof dirt"? I almost moved there once until I learned about all those houses that are slowly sinking.

Pahrump is actually an hour and a half away from death valley. Used to work at stovepipe resort in death valley and had to come to pahrump to do grocery shopping.
There is only one middle school and one high school in pahrump and are getting over crowded from all the people moving in. And there is not alot to do for children or teens. There are not alot of shopping centers just one Walmart a smiths and Albertsons. . Its been a pretty quiet town till the last 2 years . There has been a increase of crime and people camping out in the deserts leaving their trash and destroying the surrounding areas and the drug is horrible lots of addicts Ive lived here for 15 plus years and its been the worst its been ever been.
The teen girls could work at the brothels.

The name Pahrump is a Paiute Indian word meaning water from the rock. When buying any property there you need to research your water rights to the property and know that wells are generally expensive to dig there.
I thought Pahrump was an old Indian word for 'legal brothels'???
I think this town is close to Tacopa, California. Tacopa has some of the best healing water hot springs in the world. There are places with private baths, and the water from under the desert floor will make you feel reborn. Very sketchy desert folk out there tho. Twitching and scratching. Be careful.
Those sketchy people are better known as tweakers. Yeah.
Plus it's the home of Art Bell!!!

Vegas more concrete, lower elevation. I hear Pahrump is is 5-8 degrees cooler
LIving in Pahrump for the last 2 years, I can confirm it is about 5-10 degrees cooler than Vegas, but with that said, anything over 100 degrees, just feels hot.
@@AK.J3 Somebody else told me lower elevation would be even hotter. And I believed it because I also like Mount Charleston videos. But I don't care how it would be slightly cooler. I just don't want to consider places that are hotter.

We've lived in Pahrump for the last 2 years and it has been pretty quiet. The more densly populated areas we've lived such as San Diego, Dallas/Fort Worth had a lot more crime.
Theft is plentiful, break-ins are common. A lot of tweakers.
Pahrump is a nice place just watch out for Martians

I drove thru Pahrump this past April, and I can guarantee to you, it is a sprawling dump of mobile homes and cheap, ugly trashy developments.
