The only 1000hp Subaru owner I know runs a stock 2010 STI transmission. He's only replaced it 2 times in 3 ish years
STI transmissions are very tough... very believable hes still on stock gears.

I've always wondered why is it that awd production cars seem to have the most controllable or consistent 1/4 mile passes but heavily tuned awd cars almost always look like the drivers have to fight for their lives just to not hit the wall.
Ruri Gokou weight transfer, no room for tires, etc etc, Also hard to get heat in the tires in an AWD car

Power is definitely not similar, B18C’s and K20’s are making north of 1400whp. Something that its still very hard to do on a EJ257.

I recently saw that Australian WRX (worlds fastest Subaru) almost into the 6's with the EG33 (ruclips.net/video/2f_feIpEmys/видео.html) and was impressed but pushing those 4 cylinders is what I'm really keen on.
