I’ve been wearing sleep tech for years now to monitor and track my sleep data. It’s an incredibly valuable resource as it helps me pinpoint bad versus quality sleep and how sleep is deeply connected with my daily habits, for better or worse. I can see the direct relationship between my sleep and what I eat, when I eat, when I go to bed, and consuming stimulants of any type, among other factors.

Great comparison, and exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately, I was hoping the Oura ring would be a good Fitness tracking complement to my Apple Watch Ultra 2 but given what you said these rings do best as sleep tracking only. Yes I’ll have to wait until the fourth generation ring arrives!

Perfect timing for Cyber Monday! I’ve decided on the Oura ring today (subscription part sucks though 😞). I’ve taken so many sleep tips from you, like the Phillips hues, curtains, earplugs, etc. Keep up these videos!
I’m not sure I agree with the idea of just wearing the Oura at night. All through the day it is taking measurements, which create a baseline. This baseline is then used against the measurements captured while you sleep. That’s how I understand it.
Oura has really upped their stress detection and fitness detection. It’s totally worth it to wear it all day, especially with it measuring resilience as well. When my stress levels go up, it signals my Apollo and it turns on automatically to calm me down. ❤
This is really interesting since I am considering this ring to monitor my stress levels. What is Apollo, is it a separate app/smart device?
@@ajgray4 Apollo Neuro is a polyvagal toner that will trigger the safety response deep in the limbic brain. It was invented for veterans undergoing ketamine therapy for PTSD and is also being tested with MDMA assisted therapy at the moment as well. The "SmartVibes" feature is what talks to oura and builds a custom playlist based on your readiness/stress info.

Having had the ultrahuman ring for since the first batch came out, I can state that they are not a great company and do not make the app or the ring better over time. They also insist on tracking your data to a level that is not appropriate. Something simple like having to have notifications on for things that I don't need notifications for is required in order for the app to update and for the ring to update which makes zero sense. I've asked them about this several times over the past year and they always said okay thanks we'll look at that and never did anything with it. I would not take them seriously.
Its very bice they give a charging case....
Samrtwatches could use one 2 sometimes .

It looks like they he has screen recording on the iPhone (notice that little red dot at the top of the phone on the right) and then he has just cropped it onto the left for you to see a close up version as well.

I am confused why the existence of smart rings completely missed me. I did not know about them until Samsung revealed theirs. I really hope that soon, they will have nfc payments (Google or Apple pay, or similar), and small touch display (and I mean really small, just for very basic tasks, and monochrome is perfectly fine), because then they might replace bands and watches.

I like the health stuff, but I am looking for a smart ring that can act like smart NFC contactless payment. Example google pay. I have a NFC smart watch, phone, and a contactless bank card.
Is there such a smart ring available in the USA to do such contactless payments?

In Germany there is a Start up called Pago Pace. I really love my Pago to Pay just with the Ring. The NF C is Connected to my creditcard. But i am not sure if the Pago is availlable outside of Europe 😅

Yes
I don't understand why you would only get this for sleep only. A product review would be using the whole product and all of its functions.
For real comparison I was expecting to see all function checked against calibrated medical equipment.
Also also don't want anything with subscription fees. So I am now waiting to get some real life experience in with new rings supporting glucose and blood pressure trends.
The Oura Ring seems to underestimate light sleep compared to a research-grade polysomnography according to a recent study (doi: 10.3390/s24020635), so maybe you should avoid it
why only during sleep? i think its not designed just for that. strange :/

I don't track activities with the rings. I don't find them accurate
Ultra human air will override its own fitness info with your watches, not sure about the others but I’d assume they’re the same.

That was quite confusing. I would have done just the ŌURA Ring vs. Ultrahuman Ring Air. I have yet to get a RingConn on my finger, but I am not interested at this time.

I don't care about fitness or sleep tracking (useless cases), I'm only interested in media controls. Mainly turning music on or off and volume controls.

No hate, but i wonder how accurate peoples opinions are on these rings - are people saying that they would choose Oura and Ultrahuman ring because they are the most well known and might be biased?
