      Good to hear! I was all set to buy an Oura, but couldn't get past 18% one-star reviews on Amazon for Gen. 4. Not to mention the bad customer service and subscription cost. I'm just getting tired of everything being subscription now. Ordered the UH today for $279.

    Really like the fact this one is subscription free. The devices are a lot of money, but the technology is small and I can see a lot of advantages with it as it is so discreet. Not sure it is for me as my watch gathers the same data, but I am curious to find out more.

    While there could be some level of inaccuracy, the Average Nightly SpO2 score you got (92%) is likely more accurate than you think. First of all, SpO2 naturally drops at night. Also, despite amazing fitness level, it's conceivable that you have some level of sleep-apnea or a sleep-disorder of which you are unaware.

    Coming from Garmin, I’ve now been using the Oura 3 alongside a Whoop 4 and AWU for around six months and I’m impressed with the Oura metrics. Sleep and readiness scores feel more balanced than Whoop and the app is well designed. Being able to view Oura data on my AW is big plus. The only pro I see for the UH right now is that it has no sub model and the different form factor for those who care.

      What do you think of the sizing compared to the sizers? I'm pretty torn between 8 and 9. 9 spins on my finger if I spin it intentionally and can slide off easily, but it does stay in place when on. The 8 stays put perfectly, but getting it around my knuckle can be difficult (I had to use soap to get the sizer off), to the point that I worry if I were to swell up it would be trapped on. I really wish they allowed one size exchange. 😡

    • @TheManWithTwoWatches

      I was going to go with the size 12, their largest size, but I went with the size 11 and it does not slide too much on my left index finger. And the Ring Air doesn't slide up to my first knuckle either. And yes, it would be cool if both Utrahuman & ÕURA Ring allowed for a size exchange within the first 45 days. I also don’t wear it for my boxing training as it rubs against my gloves and can hurt myself or my partner. I typically wear my polar chest strap and Apple Watch has integration with polar, will UH read that too? It would be annoying to have a good boxing workout while my ring app tells me that I’m actually not moving enough…

    Infinitely interested in this product! I think you answered it, but I'm guessing it does not write HRV/RHR/sleepstages/body temp to Apple health? That would be incredibly useful for utilizing other apps. And secondly, is it able to give you Super low readiness and sleep scores if you had a terrible night? My biggest complaint with Oura is even on terrible nights I would get still in the mid 70s for sleep score. Awesome review! And honestly it's a total huge steal at $350 because it comes in matte black! That's absolutely the color choice I would want, which costs $500 with Oura!

    Hi, how accurately do you think the ring monitors your heart rate? I saw one other video saying it was way off compared to other products, but have not seen any other youtubers address this.

    • @ChaseTheSummit
      @ChaseTheSummit  7 месяцев назад

      Here's the thing with Smart Rings. Accuracy is a huge variable due to everyone having different fingers, how snuggly the ring fits, color of skin, hair density, tattoos and more. Also, it's hard to pinpoint how accurate the raw data is because the ring only samples heart rate every few minutes throughout the day and is not continuous unless you're in "workout mode".
      That being said, with devices like this I often wonder how important raw data accuracy is. For example, if the data it's producing seems in-line with how you feel (low readiness score after a bad night of sleep) then who cares how accurate the raw data is? That's sort of how I feel with all of these devices (whoop, oura, ultrahuman, ect...). Accuracy is really only a factor if you're using these devices for working out in which case none of them are perfect.
      At the end of the day the biggest factor is getting consistent actionable data from the app. Which I do think it does.
      Hope that helps.

    • @ChaseTheSummit
      @ChaseTheSummit  Год назад

      It’s in the right ballpark but I haven’t tested absolute accuracy. To be honest step accuracy isn’t very important it’s more about consistency so you can tell an active day compared to a sedentary day.

    I’d rather Garmin improved their sleep tracking and invest in a single device that I need anyway for my fitness activities, i.e. Fenix 8 or Enduro 3. I keep my 7XSS on 24/7. I hope that Garmin will not move towards music, wireless calling and payment and try to become an Apple Watch. Garmin functions and should stay in a different world compared to Apple.

  • @ravingmad765
    @ravingmad765 10 месяцев назад

    You should worry less about accuracy and more about relatability. Why? The most these things can really monit well is the trend over time. It doesn't matter if it's accurate (within reason) just that you know if it's going up or down.

    I bought the Ultrahuman Air Ring. I cannot recommend it to anyone in Europe. Insane problems with an incorrect amount on the customs invoice. It cost me hours of my time, which I would have preferred to spend differently. Absolutely bad buying experience. If I could turn back time, I would not make the purchase. I am also very disappointed with their support.

    Well, I gave this a go based on this video. My choice of course and I wanted to try something up and coming. My experience has not been good. My ring failed to record any data once I put my phone in airplane mode (bluetooth wifi still on). I work in aviation so my phone is in airplane mode everyday for hours. This issue rendered the data the ring provided as useless as there was huge gaps everyday with no recorded date at all. I got support and they told me several things to try. Stuff a moron would already try themselves before contacting support eg. cycle bluetooth on and off. Disconnect the ring and reconnect. Delete app and download again. Support told me to do a factory reset of the ring so I did. The ring now fails to connect to the app or my phone no matter what I do. They have now offered a replacement. Satisfactory outcome I guess except for the 4+ week wait for a new ring and the import customs charges I will have to pay once again on the same item.

      When it worked I was happy with the product. This wouldn't put me off. I like how it's more focused on well being, sleep and mindfulness rather than full on fitness. I actually quit whoop for this. Their support was very helpful and quick to respond and once I get my replacement I'll continue to use it. @@ChaseTheSummit

    Hi, I'm hoping you will see this comment/question and reply to it :)
    First of all, thank you for doing this video.
    What about the circadian rhythm tracking? On the Ultrahuman website and in other videos about the Air ring, I've seen this mentioned but you don't talk about it in your video.
    I'm currently debating between getting an Oura or Ultrahuman Air ring and I was leaning toward the Oura until I saw this interesting feature about the circadian rhythm on the Ultrahuman Air. But if it's not there, then I think I will just go for the Oura... Thanks in advance!

    • @ChaseTheSummit
      @ChaseTheSummit  Год назад +1

      Circadian rhythm tracking is a feature within the app it basically displays your "Circadian Phase Alignment" on a clock (shown in the video) to let you know when you should start winding down and spending less screen time. Useful feature but once you learn habits probably not something you look at every day.

    • @Nathyk3
      @Nathyk3 Год назад

      @@ChaseTheSummit Thank you so much for taking the time to answer, much appreciated. I rewatched the video and see now that when you start talking about the app features and the countdown, that's where "circadian" is mentioned. I had only see the clock version (with like different colors for the different zones) so I didn't put 2 and 2 together, my apologies. From what you say it sounds less interesting than I thought, thank you very much for your helpful feedback.
