  • I put both the Oura Ring and Ultrahuman Air Ring to the test. Which comes out on top, and which wearable tech do I recommend? Find out in this ultimate showdown. No matter the outcome, I know you’ll enjoy how many gadgets I’m wearing in this video.
    I’ve been wearing sleep tech for years now to monitor and track my sleep data. It’s an incredibly valuable resource as it helps me pinpoint bad versus quality sleep and how sleep is deeply connected with my daily habits, for better or worse. I can see the direct relationship between my sleep and what I eat, when I eat, when I go to bed, and consuming stimulants of any type, among other factors.

    Very helpful, informative, and well presented. I initially thought of getting an Oura ring but I just can't get past that subscription fee which to me, is irritating. Especially when the Ultrahuman and Ringconn doesn't require it. Based on everything presented, I'm going with the Ultrahuman. Thanks again for the great review!

    Best review I've seen so far. The fact that the Ultrahuman doesn't write sleep tracking data to Apple Health is a deal breaker for me. Really disappointed it doesn't do that as it was definitely looking like a purchase!

    Great video! Thanks for your hard work, Dr. Jubbal! Would you say one should consider getting both an Oura Ring and the Apple Watch for both sleep and fitness tracking, then? Or would an Apple Watch be enough, since it also tracks sleep?

    • @kevinjubbalmd
      @kevinjubbalmd  10 месяцев назад +5

      I always found the apple watch quite uncomfortable to track sleep with - too bulky for me, but YMMV. I think if you're able to sleep with it, it's likely adequate for sleep tracking

    It is good that the oura ring has gaps in the night while sleeptracking as the other rings fill the parameters and measurements with nonsense values, if they dont have the data.

    Sleep tracking is the most overrated useless metric ever. other than maybe turning down the temp or going to bed earlier not much to do about it. When I wake up I already know if I slept like crap. Pretty useless to me. Been using sleep tracking for years and outside the first few weeks of novelty it's meaningless to me. I like that the heart rate is more precise on your finger than your ring.
