Thanks for another cool video Eric. Say, If you find a nice sized piece of chain link fence. Lay it out flat and tow it behind something ( maybe tater tot)? to flatten out the cinders. It's called a "poor mans drag" it will make the driveway look really good and much easier on the back. I used a five foot fence post and tied the chain link to it and then attached it to my trailer hitch. You can place a couple concrete blocks on it closest to the hitch to weigh the drag down for more effect.
Maybe a lawn roller to tamp the rock into the clay a bit.
I certainly understand that first part of your video I decided to put out a garden for exercise, and that's exactly what I'm getting. It was I thought was a tomato plants but finally the cherry tomatoes and some other small tomato plants are doing okay and producing tomatoes, did I say small little tomatoes cherry tomatoes to be exact.beans because they weren't really coming up, same with the okra and the sunflowers. Are these little shorts stepping things I may or may not even see sunflower, I got three Cosmo blooms and zinnin bloom. where that one zenith plant is was a bunch of other ready to blossom, but oh no the blossom rotted. So I just pulled (.Zinnia) them up. , I am not expecting anyting from the yellow neck squash. I could go on and on what I have got set out and still in there baby stage, I don't know what I did any different then several years back I had two successful back-to-back gardens. Well any way Eric, say Hi Obei and Tara.....exercising basically that is what I'm getting.
I admire your skills Eric! Especially setting up your security cameras that have proven to be priceless too many times! May God continue blessings 🙏 Sending grandma ❌⭕❌⭕ , Iris 👋
Oh! I almost forgot to send love to the "Tiny TOTs" Tara Opie Tig 😘🥰🤗
Wow great deal on huge propane tank, only $5 rental fee a month worth it! And rock was cheap too.
PS- drill a small hole in bbq grill lid and add a lid thermometer thet selp for bbqs for just that purpose. Has a lil wingnut on backside. 1 minute install 👍
Love this new chapter of your life, Eric! You really seem happy ❤
Wow! The new propane tank and all of the rock is so nice. Makes me want to do raking of it but I think my back would give out pretty quick. Where there is a will, there is not always a way.
Looks like a real homestead property now to keep trespassers away. I wouldn't want to go on someone's property and now there can be no mistakes. The trash incident makes me feel angry. Whatever happened to 'The customer is always right.'. I think it was to keep and grow their business and to stay out of trouble with the law. Maybe there are no trash competitors out there. Lying to steal gripes my soul. I am glad that you know how to set up and operate the cameras that you have.
I saw the pen for baby Tid to go out and get some fresh air. Looking forward to seeing more of him in the future. I have to get out more so don't feel like taking on another company. Face Book and You Tube keep me busy enough. Wow! I think that was a good price for all of that rock. Boy, you sure do gave a lot of work to do now with thst, but little by little and it will be done.
Welcome to home ownership.
Dude, you are now a property owner. You have to learn how to bribe the garbageman once in a while with $10 or 20 bucks. That’s just the way it works.
@@jamesscott1932ya, they like putting the cans in right front of my garage door!
Cool to see them spread the rock. Some hard work to take out but little by little it will be done and great fix when the rain comes.
Need some helpers to come and come and visit. Or an ATV and drag a section of chain link.
Make it look more and more like home base.
Big propane ! Good idea and comfort!
Dang …good handling of the crane and no dents in the RV.
Looking forward to updates.
That rock is fabulous.. Love the color... Can't wait to see it all spread out and leveled...
What you are experiencing, is what I've put up with all of my life, trying to get things done as a female.
I tried to buy belt dressing and the clerk argued with me, that I didn't need it, and wouldn't show me where it was on the shelf. Got it from another source and it's just what I needed!
I've tried to build a house, clear the property, etc and everything has been a fight, with no shows, or those that showed didn't bring tools or came drunk, or told I didn't know what I was talking about, or wouldn't follow my directions.
You have it rough but, you don't know anything about what could be for you in a different body.
I would put up more than one trail cam, I would also put up a chain across the road to keep out invaders. But, that's just me speaking from my life experiences
Pour cement dust on rocks it will set after rain . Should harden without ruts
Regarding propane, you can also buy an adapter to refill the little propane tanks, from the big one, yourself.
Hey Eric way to go on getting everything you've got done I'm super proud of you and I do think you are right to put a camera out at the road to catch liars who falsify their report you did a Great thing with the rock man and the BBQ way to go
You talk about getting things done in a small town ... Well I wanted a shed built, talked to a lot of guys that build sheds ... they never call back..... so after about a year of that, I built the shed. Then I wanted 120 feet of fence built, same thing, I waited around, a few months went by ..... so I just got done building the fence. So, for now on I will just do it myself. My next thing is more solar. Rock is hard work spreading it around .... Yep ... did that too.
Eric, same here in SC... Waste management doesn't always pick up my trash and when I call to report it, they say they did... So why is my can still full?? Yeah right.
My local propane delivery also charged me $60 a year to rent the tank so that's not unusual but sure wish they would tell you up front.
Also, darlin, the thing you assembled and cooked your burger in is a "grill" ... "Barbecue" is what you eat! 😉
Can't wait to meet your new pup. So you have Tara, Opie, and Tig ... I know they are characters from SoA, but do ya realize their names spell TOT? 😂
You rock Eric! Enjoying the homestead videos.
The black rock looks awesome, great choice. You certainly have this coming together nicely! Thank you for sharing the costs.
When building my tiny, I had gravel and concrete dust hauled and it dressed everything up! Thats very satisfying. Good to see you happy!!
Love your property, Eric!! It is really beautiful!! You are a lucky man!! Nothing like owning your own property!!! Always camp for FREE on your property!!
I love how you talk to the camera like we're your friends and are right there with you.
Build a "CATIO" ( patio ) for your cats. Enclose an entire tree ( sides and top ) for your kitties to play on. ERIC'S EPIC CATIO VIDEO.
I personally like the black rock better, it reminds me of asphalt and looks like a driveway. Glad this really worked out for you. Stay Unique and Stay Feisty!
What you really could have used was a Bobcat. It would make quick work out of spreading and leveling out those piles.
Good move with the huge propane tank! What about installing an RV sewer dump station? You need a nice metal rake and a wheelbarrow! Good luck Eric.
We have the same size propane tank, and it lasts, on average, four to five months before our provider does an "auto-refill" at around thirty gallons. One driver even services/checks every tank when he works the two (rather rural) counties that make up the provider's service/coverage area. By the way, our tank provides for all the hot water we use as well as for our kitchen range.
Please be sure to keep the hummingbird food really fresh!! Research please.
Have a VAN TASTIC DAY
Might be hotter, but I dig the grizzly rock driveway. Looks nice!
Eric is very sentimental which is endearing. Names for things, firsts, etc. Very cute.
Driveway came out really nice your property is looking great. Your happiness surely does show.
In regards to the rocks...they are exactly the same...but different lol...glad to see all the progress...kinda neat to see how all this kinds of stuff is done and loved the opening with the kitties!
Hey Eric I never said anything bad about it all but this is my opinion... make sure you put some rock under the RV. Be safe and thanks for sharing! You know you can rent a tractor for a week for about 1k. It'll be worth it next time you get gravel for the camp area. You get alot of stuff done and if you play video games you can surely figure out the functions. Its nothing to it. Good luck and keep up the great work on your property. It looks great I have 3 acres here in GA and enjoy it daily as a hobby farmer.
that's road gradings what they tear out when they repave a parking lot or road.
Good Cat Day!
Hi, if you get hea y rain all that stone will be pushed /sink into tbe clay based soil .
Ideally a membrane should have been put down first, that would stop the stone from sinking. 14:59
That looks nice ! Sorry they were so late on the delivery. You're going to love having that giant propane tank. It makes your RV feel much more like a home when you don't have to keep going somewhere to refuel.
Great video. Your property is looking great
Wow your home base just keeps getting better every video looks amazing can’t wait to see what else you’re going to do
You need to to do drone aerial views of this progression , think that would be cool to see,
That rock looks good , if you can rent a skid steer for a day or two may make sense for them to bring more yardage then you can spread it faster and compress it a little
You are doing what almost everyone dreams about. Your spot looks great already. That gravel will make a huge difference. You could hook up a piece of chain link fence and pull it around your rocks to level it. Whats next?
Or pallets 👊🏻
you need a skid steer or small tractor. for endless usefulness in developing your land.
You can always drill a small hole in the lid of you bbq and put in your own thermometer.
Love the rock.
I would highly suggest you go rent, a bobcat, or somebody who owns a bobcat to level it out and compact it too. I’m only mentioning all this stuff because of life experiences myself.
Just chill buddy. You had an awesome day after all. Looks really nice.
Jax would be proud of his hooman daddies homestead!!! Keep up the good work, and keep up the hard work!!
Oh man you got me sniffling I miss Jax❤
Eric, You need a Kubota bx2300 D.
Ur place is going to look awesome see yah Eric an Tara an Opie hugs always
I love it when a plan comes together buddy
Eric that was a great video 👍🏻 you’re base camp is coming along nicely.
Wonder how long the guy before you has been waiting on a rock delivery?
That rock really ties the camp together.
Lots of scooping and raking to a nice drveway.
Thank you Eric for sharing another awesome video
happy fourth of july...enjoy!
Love the progress eric
I really like the gray/black rock you got for your driveway. Things are coming together at your homestead. The propane tank was an awesome idea.
I like your rock. I hope you have gloves for all the shoveling and raking ahead of you. Enjoy 😊
I love the look of the black rock. Glad things are going your way.
👍
Excellent video Eric, so glad you got the rock and propane tank delivered. Your place is going to be one excellent homebase!!!
Wish you could launch your drone and show us a view of the layout
Your basecamp is getting better in every video. I’m glad the rock finally showed up; it looks great. It’s so nice to see you as happy and excited about your life now. Take care.
a landscaping rake would make short work of that
You'll slay it with that rake!! 👍Now get a wheel barrow or yard wagon.
I love how the rock looks.
Also do not have anything hanging out of the can, like even the ties of a bag and make sure your lid closes, they will charge you for an extra can! I started taking pictures of my can. That's good you have cameras. Same here and no problems since. I love the black rock. Buy a tractor!
Taking care of Business! I Love IT!
Those dead brush-piles make great homes for pack-rats and rattler’s
The rock is def on my 2do list, and a bridge tile so I can cross the creek to get access to my land. Now I'm saving up for a new zero turn mower. The Toro 75734- 34" cut
Come monsoon season those cinders will be worth thier weight in gold.
Good video. It’s a shame you have to set up a security camera because people don’t take responsibility.
As for garbage pickup, my favorite convenience. I could use a bit of gravel, though. It gets slick after rain or snow melt. I like your new digs.
Can you fill your propane tank in the RV from the 120 pounder before you roll out?
I'm telling you having 250 pound propane tank is a game changer if you are going to stay during the winter in the blue tiny house with occasional trips. You and the furr babies will be warm, you can add a gas stove, a heater, put in a deep freezer and be set. Are you going to add a garden like Ausia?
Why would the size of the tank matter if the delivery is free and price of propane is the same? hehe.
The black rock will be hotter than red or white, and will soak up the heat. It will be great for the snowy, icy winters❤❤
You must see that smile as you edit. Totally happy. Good on ya.
Yeah, you got the rock, propane and even had the garage picked up!
Lots of projects getting done. Cool.
Boom Truck. A crane operates with cable/pully system.
Good show. I missed the reno days :)
Loving the Trailer Park Boys Propane reference!!!
Drone shot of the new rock drive would be cool !!
Hey Eric, While you are working on the property, you might want to catch the vids up to current. Everyone else who visits and blogs has already shown this stuff. I understand that while traveling , it made since to buffer vids for safety. However, when everyone else is current and you are behind, it is kind of silly!!! You are one of the few RUclipsrs I could watch daily and did during your 25 days of vlogmas!!! Just my 2 cents!!! Keep up the great vids!!!
Should get 2-3 years from that propane tank.
Excellent to see that everything is working out for you. Have a great time raking & shovelling all that gravel. Don't over work yourself though. Take care eh!
Its looking good Eric love the rock look.
Seems like a lot less cat footage compared to Mr. Jax
That's so funny. Please don't drop it on Freida. That's all you need.
I saw on a TV show someone had 4 buildings like the blue box 2 one side 2 the other with a deck in between. Each was a different use, one a living room, one a kitchen, bathroom and one a bedroom. Thought of you and your homesite. Looking good.
Property is a better investment than fuel to drive around. Looks great!
I just did the same gravel work at my house last fall, so I know how much work it is😅
Would be cool to see some drone shots of your lot, get an idea of the whole picture! Happy for you man, very satisfying to have your own place like this!
The trash situation is mind boggling. Obviously if picked up before, you have it placed in right spot. Gravel looks nice, those truckers are pretty good at dumping so evenly.
Hey Eric at that price you could do black rock, which looks great btw, all day long!
So flipping cool 😁 You're helping me learn so I'll know what to do when I get out to my land I purchased😊
Your place is going to be awesome !
Now you need a tractor with a box blade.
It's looking good, and more and more like home!!!
You need a float tractor !
