Eric: Don't give up the Smart car to quickly. Get a "Beater with a heater" farm pickup. It will stay on the property while you are traveling. Thanks for the video. Jon
I saw another RUclipsr use an old bed spring that he attached to the back of his truck with a chain to level his driveway out. He said that it worked great. Something heavy like that might work for you without a lot of expense.
Great video! I'm loving these homestead videos. I'm glad your friends loaned you a truck. I'm sure that made hauling stuff a whole lot easier. So glad to see Felix In this video, too. He's a great friend.
Hi Eric, you are surrounded by so many great people that are willing to help make your life easier. What a blessing for these good people. I really Love the look of the stone. It give your place a nice finished ,well manicured look. Have a wonderful fourth of July Eric. See you next time, hugs, Louise
Putting the rock down helps keeping critters out, its difficult for them to walk on. Caravan Carolyn had cicadas at her camp, not sure how close she is to you? Loving your new place, what a great base camp for your growing family. And poo poo on all folks dissing you for this change in your life. I'm hooked on so many rver's that have added a basecamp/new home to their channel, it's thebpeopke I watch, like. You do you. ❤
Hey Eric, had a 2002 Ranger I bought in '07 till I bought my 2020 F150 in 2022. Sold the Ranger to my daughter and Son in Law. Love my new truck!!! Everyone needs a truck!!!
hey eric they way i used to spread gravel when i had to was attach a chain to a 4x4 to the hitch and then put a small section of chain link fence to the 4x4 and throw a couple of tires for weight and drag it behind your truck spreads it wonderfully
That was nice of him to help you out with his vehicle. Your scaring me we had a fence put up and our guy broke our wheel barrow now we have to buy a new one. Hope Tig is doing well along with the kitty's! Happy Independence Day Eric!!
It's okay about Tig. There's no such thing as a "forever home"! There are all sorts of reasons why that phrase is completely unreasonable. Tig's in a better place. Good for you. You done good!
"I love my truck, she's right outside. I ain't got much luck, but I sure got a ride." (Glen Campbell - 1981) I love my 1999, F250, extended cab, V-10, 6.7 liter, gas engine, tow package, 127,000 original miles. Oxford white with gray interior. Nice comfy seats for long drives!
Eric you have not changed a bit! I love it! I love it! I never thought I’d see this day! That you was good with settling down & it looks so good on you! What would we do without Felix??? You go Eric! I’m so proud of you😇XXOO Lori
Once again there are 4 distinct deserts in Arizona! None of them are between Show Low and Concho Arizona! You live in the White Mountains not the desert .
Eric, it’s been so much fun watching you on your new property. Your enthusiasm is infectious. Even when something disappoints you, like USPS not getting your address right, I know that big grin is on the way! Can you say FedEx?? Having Kevin and the Woof Pack nearby is another positive thing to look forward to now. All of the friends just make life more interesting. Sending hugs from Hammond, Louisiana! 🙀🙀🐶
I’m surprised that you didn’t hire the guy with the tractor that Campervan Kevin used. He could have made short work of moving and leveling of your gravel. You might want to bury the propane line from the big tank, and have the end mounted on a 4x4 post next to your RV. Then use a flex hose to attach it to your RV. Your place is coming along nicely!
I have watched your last 2 videos since you got the new puppy and no mention of the dog and or he is not in the videos. What's up? I tend to lean towards channels with dogs in them and I was excited for you and your new puppy but then not another mention.
Eric, Instead of a wheelbarrow, I use a piece of plywood with a chain attached to it. I DRAG it behind my tractor or truck. I even used a 3 Wheeler to drag it sometimes... CHEAP and available. Eventually the plywood sheet will tear up the hole I used for the chain. So I nailed a 2x4 stud over the hole and wrapped the chain around the stud 🙂.
Fexlix and Paul to the rescue ! Both great friends, you are blessed ! Thank you for sharing your progress ! You will want your Smart Car when winter comes and you get on the road...enjoy the loaner for now and make the most of what you have..
You can cheaply touch up that ford paint on that white truck with a small can of appliance white..Krylon and a paint brush Looks good from 10 feet away. Ask me how I know haha
Necessity is the mother of invention. Adapt, improvise, & overcome! Those plastic bed wagons might be a better choice. We have 1 collapsable canvas wagon in our camper, 1collapsable sugar sand wagon on our porch, & 1 of the expanded metal garden wagons on the porch. We are a retired couple and we use the two at home almost daily. We use the one in the camper almost everyday while the camper is deployed. I am yearning big time to get back into the forest and leave the city noises behind.
We have an area where rats love. We can't figure out how they get in there. In that particular space, lights do not help at all. It's light full blast 24/7. Makes no difference.
You should get a piece of plywood, stack rock or bricks, or something heavy on it tie it to the back of your truck, when you get it and run up and down your driveway, it will flatten it.
The NF homestead is looking good! Still waiting for The Announcement about the new co-pilot. The timelapse needs more stars in it... not! Excellent work there. Hugs to whoever is helping out at the hacienda.
6:50 would be cool if you and a certain mechanically inclined buddy were to fix the shaking for the people letting you borrow the truck as a thank you to them, would make for an interesting video!
If you rent a small Bobcat, that would be a total game changer. I spread gravel every spring & use a New Holland 35 series front loader, can't imagine leveling our road without it. Great video & progress 👏
I’m so happy for you! I’m watching every day to see the development of your homestead! I’m waiting for you to build a porch off the front of the blue “tiny house “ and put a rocking chair in the middle of it. 😅 too see you with your new boots and a big old sun hat rocking back and forth. O yea!,
We are in Calif. and have the same trouble. What a crock of crap that is! It’s so aggravating to just get continually ripped of because they can!!!! Love what you are doing there Eric and you are close to so many other wonderful people.🤗👍👍
Looking so nice. Nice friend to loan you his truck. I have a truck, and I 💖🤗💖 love her. She's much older, like me. 😅 Bet the night sky is spectacular! Happy 4th. 🇺🇸 Stay safe. 💖🥰💖 love to you and all 5he fuzzy butts.
Get a wheeled cart and move the excess gravel to the spot where the RV will be parked and redistribute a little each day. It's like a daily workout if you don't overdo it in the heat.
Rural living can be a challenge finding affordable equipment. Amazon and UPS have become my friends. I will look locally first. If I can't find what I need, I go on line. Of course, you still need to be careful as I know you are well aware of.
Forget the wheelbarrow and get one of those wagons that can carry up to 600lbs or more. Some have a dump feature on them too so it makes it easier to dump things. We bought one to move rocks around on our property to save our backs and it was a game changer. No more tippy wheelbarrow straining your shoulders trying to keep heavy things from tipping on that one wheel.
Sorry to tell you AZ has those bugs. I don’t mind them, but I can see how they can get on the nerves. Not sure in your area it’s cooler there then where we are in the Verde Valley. The boots look nice.
Those are very cool boots! You'll get lots of use out of them and protect your feet at the same time. I also love what you did to the KFC sign, looks perfect as is. Good luck finishing off your driveway. When its all packed down, it'll work like a champ. Happy 4th and Have Fun!
my dad used my childhood wagon to mix cement. now they have it for home work. finally.
Eric: Don't give up the Smart car to quickly. Get a "Beater with a heater" farm pickup. It will stay on the property while you are traveling. Thanks for the video. Jon
You have land so you can do both the truck for the property and the smart car for traveling, best of both worlds!
Felix is such a good dude. Praying for yall. Eric you might consider a pallet with some weight on it drag behind the truck to level the rocks.
I saw another RUclipsr use an old bed spring that he attached to the back of his truck with a chain to level his driveway out. He said that it worked great. Something heavy like that might work for you without a lot of expense.
Lol, Christmas all year long. ☕️🇺🇸👍🏻. 🌵🌴🥞
Great video! I'm loving these homestead videos. I'm glad your friends loaned you a truck. I'm sure that made hauling stuff a whole lot easier. So glad to see Felix In this video, too. He's a great friend.
Felix is awesome 😊✊🏼✊🏼

Loving your property in Arizona. Love the way you have it set up. Best from Texas This is GW
Nice boots!! Your little one is adorable... Happy 4th!
I agree. It is time to lose the "cool" car for the practical pick up. Great to hear you are still doing well.
Very nice looking boots. Look good for hiking too. The stars are awesome. Happy 4th of July.
Have a good holiday.
Drag a railroad tie behind a vehicle to spread and thin out the gravel.
That's really going to help, having the stone pressed into place. GO FELIX.
It's okay about Tig. There's no such thing as a "forever home"! There are all sorts of reasons why that phrase is completely unreasonable. Tig's in a better place. Good for you. You done good!
Wow, those wheelbarrow prices are insane.
How about a windowbox for your cactus
what about attaching an old metal bed frame to the back of a vehicle and dragging it up and down the rock driveway ? or perhaps a metal bar ?
GOOD UPDATE
Dear Eric,There's cicadas in Arizona. Ask Kevin! 😊
Get Kevin's friend with the dozer to spread everything around and compress everything down. 👍🤠
Instead of buying new tools, etc. ...don't forget about Facebook Marketplace, garage sales, and estate sales.
Those are NICE looking boots!! We'll have to check them out. Thx
You don't need steel toes unless you're planning on kicking rattle snakes in the teeth
You might have better to rent a small bobcat, you can compact the stone, move large amounts stone quickly
Perhaps buying a Bobcat might be a better purchase than a truck.
His choice. Peace.
The price for a day for one of them is over kill high.
@retro8696 true, but how much will he get done with Temps in the 90's? He should have gone with the 4 wheeled cart
I like 2 c people doing things to improve their own ecosystem like this is an ecosystem , cooperation, friendship, and love.
Can't wait to see TIG (TIGER) 🐕
Felix is a good man!
Eric you have not changed a bit! I love it! I love it! I never thought I’d see this day! That you was good with settling down & it looks so good on you! What would we do without Felix???

Far out! On the boots! 😮
Nice truck.

It all looks Great! you should make a cement pad to park your rv on
The gravel looking good!
HAPPY 4TH. OF JULY TO ALL OF YOU.🇺🇲🧨🎇🇺🇲🧨🎆. BE SAFE 🇺🇲🎆🇺🇲
I have watched your last 2 videos since you got the new puppy and no mention of the dog and or he is not in the videos. What's up? I tend to lean towards channels with dogs in them and I was excited for you and your new puppy but then not another mention.
I'm doing the exact same on my new plot of vacant land. Using my truck and a rake to flatten out my driveway 😂
Happy Independence Day !
Eric, Instead of a wheelbarrow, I use a piece of plywood with a chain attached to it. I DRAG it behind my tractor or truck.

Really enjoying this home base build.
When you do finally hit the road again, please keep it short, so you can get back to home base!
Happy Independence Day!!!🎉🎆
I really like my F250 gas burner!!
We have an area where rats love. We can't figure out how they get in there.

Should’ve capitalized on the smart car getting stuck in the driveway with a video
That wheel barrel was $49 at our Tractor Supply in Mobile AL
If you want Eric to keep his car thumbs up 👍🏻🇺🇸
Hate to break it to you Eric but cicadas are in Arizona. Not sure if they are up in that area but they are here
Give it hell!
Those 4 wheel dump wagons are really nice. Had one for years. Might think about one of those.
I'm seeing your new addition on all your friends channels. Looking forward to a formal introduction soon?
Man i got to get me a pair of them boots!!! BRUNT
The NF homestead is looking good! Still waiting for The Announcement about the new co-pilot.
The timelapse needs more stars in it... not! Excellent work there.
Hugs to whoever is helping out at the hacienda.
i agree trade the smart car for a truck a ranger or f150.
I soo love the KFC sign! still enjoying the videos for years and years and years...Thanks for sharing..
We all could use a friend like Felix
6:50 would be cool if you and a certain mechanically inclined buddy were to fix the shaking for the people letting you borrow the truck as a thank you to them, would make for an interesting video!
Recommend you rent a tractor with a front end loader and possibly a scraper. It with save loads of energy and time
If you rent a small Bobcat, that would be a total game changer. I spread gravel every spring & use a New Holland 35 series front loader, can't imagine leveling our road without it. Great video & progress 👏
He said he did not have the funds

👍Felix is such a good guy❤️
rent a skid steer, be done in a few hours....what your mind dont do your back will.....😃
The smart car could handle a wheelbarrow, just strap on top. How is the gravel working out? You can rsnt a compactor.
Felix is the GOAT!
Nice place but I'd have to call the HOA on you if I lived out there (if there is an HOA). That gaudy KFC sign has got to go.
I did the same thing with my dually when i had rock poured for my rv pad. Like a steam roller!
Get a wheeled cart and move the excess gravel to the spot where the RV will be parked and redistribute a little each day. It's like a daily workout if you don't overdo it in the heat.
that big ford you had borrowed seemed nice before id like the 1 ton f250 prolly
Rural living can be a challenge finding affordable equipment. Amazon and UPS have become my friends. I will look locally first. If I can't find what I need, I go on line. Of course, you still need to be careful as I know you are well aware of.

The boots look nice.
That time-lapse was SUPER AWESOME!!
Great having friends close enough to help out........Happy 4th Everyone
It's looking good see yah Eric an Tara an Opie hugs always
Nice boots!
Get a piece of chain link fence and drag it behind something
Yayyyy, felix was here.
I am so glad to see Felix doing so good and I hope you really enjoy your new place. Stay safe and enjoy
We have cicadas. I have heard them in Prescott. I think you need certain trees and temperature????
Just drive to Payson or Mesa and get a load you need the heck with the price gouchers
Dewey AZ had the sound!
Oh yes, Arizona has Cicada's. Perhaps not at your elevation, tho?
You have enough gravel, use it to level the RV. Also the RV's 6 wheels and weight will compact your driveway.
Fuck cancer. Best wishes Felix. Eric you rock 🤘💯
Those are very cool boots! You'll get lots of use out of them and protect your feet at the same time. I also love what you did to the KFC sign, looks perfect as is. Good luck finishing off your driveway. When its all packed down, it'll work like a champ. Happy 4th and Have Fun!
