  • TOMATILLO AVOCADO SAUCE/ SALSA
    INGREDIENTS
    3 Medium Size Tomatillos
    (Approx 200 Grams)
    1 Jalapeno Pepper - Non-Spicy
    1 Serrano Pepper - Spicy*
    2 Big Garlic Cloves (Approx 8 Grams)
    A small piece of onion (Approx 40 grams)
    Handful of cilantro
    1 Green Onion Stalk - Chopped
    1 Medium Size Avocado
    1 -2 Tbsp Prepared Mexican crema
    Salt to taste
    TIPS/ NOTES
    1) If you are sensitive to heat add only jalapeno without seeds.
    OR
    For a Medium spice level use jalapeno and serrano without seeds
    OR
    For a salsa with a kick use both peppers as shown in the video.
    2) Core the tomatillos before adding it to the water.
    3) Add the tomatillos only after the pepper turns pale green in color.
    4) Leave the veggies in water itself until they are cooled completely.
    5) Remove the pepper stems before grinding
    6) Mexican crema can be substituted by sour cream.

      Onions to remove pungent flavor
      Peppers to reduce the heat & soften them .
      Tomatillos - are generally dry and the skin is tough . Boiling them will soften the flesh .
