Is Wolf 359 a convention? Thats an awesome memory. TNG will always have a special place in my heart. There was nothing like it in the late 80s/early 90s. It had great scripts, stories, morals and action. Some episodes are better than others, sure, but then again, some are truly classic.
I was born '82 and I grew up watching it with my mum. She watched the original series and we got into it together. Good memories of a still fantastic show.. good stories, morals, actions, philosophy and... quite prophetic as well. We got iPad, AI, mobile phones, video conferencing.. it got a lot right.
The #1 thing that most people don't realize is that Worf is the greatest poker player ever. After, "The Emissary," though, Section 31's Sloan didn't appreciate his skill. Director Sloan hired Data and Geordi as Associate Section 31 Operatives to ensure that Worf wouldn't ever win again, while receiving great ridicule for losing.
I'm actually amazed and impressed in that I didn't already know most of these facts. This is a real deep dive! 👍 I'll always love TNG. I grew up watching it as ankid with my mum who loved the original StarTrek and we got into it together. I didn't care much for any of the other Star Trek series until the recent Pickard, which was an excellent balance of update and homage.
Guinan's 6th sense being from the nexus is actually in the script for Generations; Zorn even tells Picard this while on the planet. The scenes were cut before filming it seems...Zorn also tortured Geordie, the only thing from this that survives is Dr. Crusher talking to Geordie (the silent POV).
Just a thought that occurred to me about other Boimler. To me, he seems more like Will Boimler, Bradward’s transporter clone. My thought is the other-Cerritos Boimler stayed on the Titan and Will was transferred. Whatever the case, I am loving Boimler’s mustache and soon-to-be beard and I look forward to watching the mysteries be solved.
So, all this time, Micah Burton was Levar Burton's daughter. I was already surprised to see her in Star Trek after her appearances on Rooster Teeth but, wow, that's a piece of information I had no idea about.
Oh no! I googled to be sure. She died only 2 weeks ago. I feel sad getting old myself, all the characters I grew up watching are getting on themselves and dying. Now I know how my parents felt when they'd be reading the paper and say "oh no, X person died".. and I'd be like... "Who?"
Number 6 from Picard list has got to be a sense of irony as Voyager could be look at of copying Red Dwarf as clear the Doctor is a mixture between Rimmer and Kryten. And both Red Dwarf and Voyager go on a long voyage back to Earth, once in while encountering the Borg/Simulant.
2:02:46 wonder if the Q are powerful enough to know that they're tv/movie characters. Or possibly just right on the verge of it and can see things they shouldn't be able to.
I never had an issue with Barkley. I had an issue with how Barkley ended up on the enterprise of all ships. It's basically the honor Post of starfleet. As I understand it everyone on enterprise is supposed to be the best I their field. Where in voyager it made sense a couple less optimal crew members were on board (explained in universe as basically earning credit) for a few months /weeks at a time,... it makes far less sense for enterprise to just have these members on board when they should regularly be spending months between stops. Especially during purely exploration periods. Which. If I'm remembering correctly Barkley was introduced during a peacetime. Hell Wesley is a boy genius and only gets to serve due to 24th century nepotism and chance. Any other captain, and it probably wouldnt have happened. Especially not on the flag ship.
5:30 interesting that you're saying Leslie is Beverly's daughter, instead of Wesley the son.... when Leslie is the masculine spelling of the name, the feminine spelling is Lesley.

DS9 could have been SO GOOD with Ro Laren. I hate her for turning it down.
I didn't understand when i read that McFadden had a problem with wesley reaching out to the male crewmembers for advice and not her. For 1, she was his mother, he would be embarrassed to talk to her about certain things. And, as a young male about to enter adulthood as a man, he of course would reach out to adult males because his mother wouldn't have gone through the same things. It made sense to me.
you're probabably the only person in the world with that opinion. I think they stole that idea from Ghostbusters ("that" dream-ghost sequence with Raymond Stanz)
Weird how 90% of the main crew from any show, always seem to become the head of something in Starfleet🤣The rest of the organization must be pure trash.
We knew most of these and let me tell you, LESLIE Crusher would have been completely unbearable. KES was without a doubt the most annoying character EVER.
I'm still not sure who these "Things You Didn’t Know About XXX" are actually aimed at. If you are not a Trek fan, you won't care and if you are a Trek fan you will know this stuff already.
The Ro Laren segment was a difficult watch. The guy presenting it has a very weird and distracting cadence of speaking. Maybe leave the presenting to another colleague at what culture mate. Painful.
Oh god the guy is back later on the video presenting the Q segment. I’d hate to need him to ring me an ambulance by the time he’s dragged out his speach I’d be dead possibly from old age.
He just... likes ... to A-NUN-CI-ATE. Off the cuff he talks fast and a bit mumbley. so maybe this is a slow teleprompter or deliberately slowing himself down.
0:36 "sexist tropes" lol sure, keep telling yourself that. I guarantee that you're one of those people who simply dismisses any truth that doesn't sit right with you, such as psychological differences between men and women.
Wow. With such a vast artistic career, Gates McFadden was basically slumming doing Star Trek-literally and figuratively 😂😂😂.
At Wolf 359 in Blackpool, a very young me, recited Ode to Spot with Brent Spiner. Still one of my favourite memories!

@MOSMASTERING It was a con, in the 90s, I think it 1995 or 1996, I can't remember which year we went.
I was about 4 months old when TNG came out. Currently my parents and I are rewatching the show. Still a good show almost as good as the original.

The Beverly Crusher band & The Wesley CRUSHERS need to go bowling together !
Thanks! So great to meet you in Vegas
Q has become a character so transcendent that we have all but forgotten Trelane except as a curiousity.
JJ Abrams aka "The Destroyer of Franchise":
Q: the hall is rented, the orchestra engaged ... its now time to see if you can dance!
24:44 The Trek Star Android cut-in is super loud, had headphones on, scared the hell outta me, hahaha
Sean, we appreciate you very much. LLAP 🖖

I think we need 10 things lists about the DS9 cast.
45:29 From what I've heard TNG, Riker in particular is what started the phrase "growing the beard"
Ellie, you are fantastic. Thank you for the video. LLAP 🖖
If he looks familiar, Barclay also played Murdock on the A-team!!

43:02 WE DO NOT TALK ABOUT THAT ONE!!!

Love this lady!! Marvellous actress & classy as hell💙

thanks to this video I went back and rewatched Picard season 3. Again. And now I really really want Legacy to happen. Again.
RIP Patti Yasutake

Nooooo ... I was hoping she would come back for a cameo with Bev. RIP Patti aka Nurse Ogawa.
1:51:07 they met briefly in Prodigy. I hope we get 3 more seasons of Prodigy. …. And Lower Decks comes back somehow….

Troi: its a primitive culture ... im just trying to blend in
Riker: you're 'blended' alright

I like ode to spot.
1:12:55 Obi-Wan confronting Vader in A New Hope.......
They better mention Blazin Bev
I thought Mary Sue was a fanfic with the writer/outsider was a love interest of a main character. A kind of wish fulfillment.
:55 What is this from? I think I've seen it actually, but I don't recall where from.
Season 7 ep 19 "Genesis"
"Loss ann-gel-eez". 😂 no Laus Ann-gel-ess. Los Angeles - literally "the angels" or the city of angels
sex ghost was awesome ep for Dr. Crusher
you're probabably the only person in the world with that opinion. I think they stole that idea from Ghostbusters ("that" dream-ghost sequence with Raymond Stanz)
@@andrewmurray1550 i was more meaning it was an over the top ep , so cheesy its awesome
@@andrewmurray1550 I just thought it was a low-end rework of Anne Rice's "The Witching Hour".

Lol.
46:16 Rrrrrriker
I vehemently hated how Geordi treated Reg. I thought it was over the top and completely out of character.
needs a timesheet
I know other channels with long form content has had issues with RUclips removing comments with timestamps

Cheeseburger liquor party. Tob. Need k say mote?
Yes Star Trek has always been behind in progressiveness. Oh the plight of the western woman 😅

i was never a fan of Ro Laren
She was attractive though!

Casual Fans... I could not find a facepalm emoji within YT's options for you... So feel free to imagine the famous Picard facepalm meme...
I'm sorry, but it became BLAH BLAH BLAH!
