Alex: "these lyrics are real deep"
Winston: "BLEGHHHH"
JAJAJAJA that was so accurate
Jesteś małym człowiekiem, który nie ma pojęcia o zeczywistym świecie, żal mi Ciebie amerykancu. Żyj sobie w swoim pięknym sztucznym kraju. All the best to YOU
😂😂
i think i never laughed so hard lol
I usually see these comments in architecta songs😂
Winston's Lyrics are some of the cleanest in Metal Core. He has so much savagery and power but i find it really easy to hear what he is saying. Proper talented vocalist.
You really need to expand your music list if you think winston is clear and clean. The dude can not control is fry and harsh tones at all. He has one tone and is super generic.
Audard there’s always one
Matthew Fox yes! Totally
@@Audard
Give me one with more power and that retains clarity. If not , you attempt at a point is void.
@@Audard just saying, it sounds like you need a cuddle from a real daddy
*metal head to another metal head*
“Bro”
-“what?”
“We converted another one”
Winston McCall has such a vanilla, suburb dad look. It’s so shocking to hear his voice.
A friend of mine saw an old photo of them and asked me what kind of music they make (he probably thought they were making some kind of surfer rock, cause they really looked like typical australian surfer boys on that pic). He was kinda shocked when I showed him
no1bandfan it was funny going to their gigs in the mid-2000s with all the classic metalcore/screams kids dominating the crowd in contrast to the bands look
I LOVE Parkway Drive. One of the best metalcore bands.
*the best
Ne Ne Well when there’s Bullet For My Valentine, Killswitch Engage, Oceans Ate Alaska out there it’s a pretty hard choice
Tommy Green not for me, but i can understand, cuz i also think those are killer bands.
Ne Ne Yeah Parkway is definitely in my Top 5. But Number 1, possibly, probably not though
After Reverence came out, I think August Burns Red takes best metalcore band
It's funny that mention your music taste changing. Metal is a lot like porn. You start off with the soft stuff and then start venturing down the rabbit hole until you end up somewhere waaaaaaay different.
hahaha.. well put :)
I couldn't have said it better lol
yup just like my first time into metal was with linkin park meteora album(still one of my favorite album along with architects lost forever lost together), and now im more into heavier stuff like technical death metal and deadcore.
Thinking about Infant Annihilator
My music taste started with pop like Michael Jackson, Modern Talking, Bee Gees, The Beatles.. Then, I listen to rock bands like Linkin Park, Breaking Benjamin, Trapt, Staind, Sevendust.. Now, I listen to bands like Aborted, Suffocation, Ingested, Gravemind, Widowmaker, Traitors.. It's getting heavier.. I still love these old pop singer and groups, tho..
From the drums at the beginning, I have chills all the way through this song. Parkway Drive is an incredible group!!!! And Winston has one of the best voices in metalcore, by far.
the guitar intro in wild eyes also gives me chills
Parkway Drive is my favorite Metal band of all time, so good choice. Wildeyes, Carrion, idols and Anchors, boneyards are all also amazing songs by them. Especially if you watch the impericon live videos.
Casey Pierson how do you feel about the song the river by parkway?
Casey Pierson can’t forget about Karma, bottom feeder, wishing wells, dedicated. They are incredible!!
Crushed is amazing
Prey tho
Prey is quality. Reverence is a bloody masterpiece and deep/heavy/educated/philosophical as fuck about death.
For old school parkway try Romance is Dead or Boneyards, for new school parkway try Crushed, Dedicated, Wishing Wells, Writings On The Wall and Shadow Box (these last 2 songs have rap/hip-hop influences so you might dig them)
dimitrieavram Dedicated is a fucking beast! Love that shit.
dimitrieavram I would also suggest deliver me or dead mans chest for old school parkway
Boneyards over a decade ago!! THERES BLOOD IN THE WATERRRRRR!!! Still an amazing song! 🤘🏻
AS I LAY DYING SHOULD BE THE NEXT BAND!!... LISTEN TO THEM
Defender!!
Confined!!!
TROUGH STRUGGLE!!
he'll go nuts on this
94 Hours
Parkway Drive - Wishing Wells just do this
Yes!
Fuck yes
And shadow boxing
Yes yes yes!!!! My favorite from this band!
PLS FUCKING DO THIS
6:37 can we talk about his blink being completely in time with the snare
😂😂😂
parkway one of the best bands in the world to my lml
shit new album
Josef Arnold I don't think it's shit, I do love their previous albums much more though. To me it seems thier just headed in a different direction and becoming a much more mature band. Sad, yes but you sort of have to just adjust to the fact that their evolving into a different genre
The new album was very disappointing IMO. But the song "Chronos" absolutely saved it. That shit is smoother than smooth and makes the whole album sound that much better.
But I agree 100%. 1 of the best bands EVER
Rock on Fellas!!!!
not anymore...
The new album is amazing. I first saw Parkway when they only had like 6 songs and I was an "old record snob" but those songs will always be there. Appreciate the band's progression in life, it shows In their music.
Plus reverence is really technical
I think what really sets you apart is how well you dissect the video in its entirety. You do your homework before just jumping into something. Much appreciated brotha!
Tyler Day anytime! ❤️🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Was surfing on RUclips while drunk and stumbled over this vid. Thought I'm going to watch a Steve T Video. Was surprised
Born of Osiris - Follow the Signs
As for other Parkway Drive songs, Idols and Anchors, or The Siren's song
Yeah, I was thinking Idol and Anchors, my favorite riff of theirs.
Idols and Anchors is such good track. One of my favorite go to songs.
Crushed is a good song to
I would try "Blue and the grey" by Parkway Drive. It's very underrated but also very beautiful. It also has an unique sound with different influences that you can hear.
Tom Müller love that song, French horn in metal!!! They pull that shit off epically!!! That one and the river is another one!!!
How about idols and anchors :0
That whole album [Atlas] is a beautiful masterpiece. It's parkway drive at its heart but it has this unique ambient type of sound that you only hear on that album. I love how parkways albums all have their own unique feel to them. They are always progressing their sound. While I prefer their earlier stuff, I absolutely love all their music and love how they try to keep it fresh and not repeat the same formula over ajd over. You have to respect parkway drive even if you don't like the new music just cuz they're true to themselves and their fans and how passionate they are and always change their sound a little on each album hut always stay heavy in a way.
Don't Close Your Eyes too
6:33 congrats by the way, you just witnessed your first breakdown ^^ (typical for Metalcore, Deathcore)
It's like a climax, the music is getting faster and faster, building up the intensity and they mostly break it down with a slow, brutal beat.
literally what i was waiting for, how someone who hasn't been exposed to really good breakdown experiencing it. I guess this is how it was when i was like 13.
Chris Metal i
I was going to say something haha, but i knew someone else did!
These types of breakdowns were popularised in late 90's/Early 00's in Hardcore & Metalcore I.e Earth Crisis, Ringworm, Converge and so on.
It's what makes "core" music *-core*
Chris Metal fuckin accurate comment dude 😂
Just headbanging right along with you to some AWESOME parkway drive... love these guys
Man, so happy to hear that someone who is branching out from other stuff got this much joy from this song! Loved them for years and I forgot how powerful Dark Days was so thank you for reminding me and keep up the good work!
Man you start to become my favorite reacter hahaha!! also parkway drive is one of the best live band's in the earth!! React to more of then, a good one is bottom feeder live in brixton academy. The lead singer is Winston Mccall he's a beast man absolulety one of a kind whit his vocals, thanks for the video and greetings from México!!
toro55ful thank you ❤️🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼 you’re awesome as fuuuuuck!
Alex Hefner thanks man!! keep the good work is really nice what you do!!😎✌

I second that! Parkway is an AMAZING liveband!
dlxretro yeaah man i whatch them when they come to Monterrey Mexico in the 2011 that was the best concert i come in a small venue but great at the time!!
Architects. Please. So much architects!
Yeah, I think you'll find a lot of Architects' lyrics very interesting!
Chris Ward hell yessss
Yeah, Gone with the Wind would be a perfect song to start with ;)
Doomsday!
A Match Made In Heaven or Doomsday are just instant classics
Parkway Drive is one of my favorites. Their lyrics are deep in every song. Love them!!!
You should definitely try the song “Nihilist - Architects.” If you like songs that touch on deep topics and issues, then you’ll absolutely love metalcore. But if you by chance see this i’d highly recommend it man
Nice! Parkway Drive :D Diving deeper in the Metalcore. All that Remains - This Calling next (don't know how many times i wrote that already lol) :D
Chris Metal New All That Remains is shit! It is not worth knowing. ☮️
Lilekornik K You are incorrect sir
Lilekornik K their first four albums were really good but they went downhill from there ( same with Parkway Drive).
Lilekornik K This calling in not new and is a badass song as is the rest of that album, although I agree with you about the new shit... And the new Parkway Drive is shit only songs I could stand on their new album were Chronos and Wishing Wells...
React to more Parkway, nobody on youtube does you'll get tons of exposure
I vote Parkway Drive - Romance is Dead next
Leeroy Jenkinss hell yea cry me a fuckin river bitch
Leeroy Jenkinss my favorite song from them
OH MY FUCKING GAWWWWWWWWWWWWWD YES. easily my favourite song from PWD. hearing it live just made me love that song so much more.
Agreed. You need to dedicate a whole week to Parkway Drive.
Yes, get on some Romance is Dead, Boneyards, Deliver Me, Swing, Karma, Wild Eyes, Crushed, a little HORIZONS?!?!?! Maybe?!?!? YEA!!!! haha Pretty much every GD song they have ever created will do
Ya Dig? Good!!! Thanks in advanced...…. Cheers!!
Yup, one of their best songs. Definitely need more than a week to react to them lol if it was me I'd have each song on repeat
I absolutely love Parkway Drive! I love their music and the lead singer is one of the most down to earth people I have ever met. He remembered me from another show and was genuinely surprised that we traveled 7 hours just to see them.
Glad that there is a another Parkway fan! I love these guys!!! Just seen them at the Newport in Columbus, Ohio on May 1st and they were just as great as I thought they would be.
Doomsday by Architects
Samed K Incredible song!!
The lyrics..just WOW 😲👍
August Burns Red - Beauty in Tragedy
Fantastic band w/ always awesome instrumentals, intense vocals, and beautiful lyrics
Joseph Bastidas this is one of the best songs, lyrically. Great choice
Anything by ABR would be sick
I was gonna say this, Back Burner, or Float.
This is one of their best songs in my opinion. So strong, so clear, so deep and so well done. Maybe also one of their best albums. Nice video man. I'm really impressed. Congrats!
Love seeing people find parkway drive if you ever get a chance to see them live do it there is so much energy in their shows loved seeing your reaction
Architects, bro!
Rings of Saturn!
YES!!!!! Aliencore!
Parkway drive is legit my favourite band. When I saw them last month at Graspop Metal Meeting I fell in love with them even more. I absolutely love your analysis of this song as it's given me a few new insights into it!
"I can't watch it burn."
I get chills then too, dude. Loved how wide your eyes got when them dirty chugs came in.
First time watching. Solid vid.
I just saw these guys live! Wild show, super good! Boneyards is a great one from them
that tour was mental
Boneyards its their best banger in my opinion, other then that whole 3 first records are masterpieces
Cauldron Of Weird 3 Times all ready :p
They are i just seen them to the whole club was moshing
Lol boneyards would kill his brain. So would siren song.
Parkway drive - crushed
By the fist of god!!
Levi Rasmussen Yeeeaaaaahhh
this and wishing wells
Please watch Crushed and Wild Eyes
Fuck man I saw that song live a few days ago. With the drummer in a burning spinning cage.
I absolutely love your reaction to this. I could see it as soon as you heard the guitar.
I've been a massive fan of of parkway drive for over 12 years now and I have seen them 5 times. They just keep getting better and better
While She Sleeps! You are going to love them :)
Silent Speaks
WHILE SHE SLEEPS - SILENCE SPEAKS PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAASEEEEEEEE , THEY HAVE SOME DEEP LYRICS DUDE TRUST ME PLEASE REACT LOVE YOU
Gustav Wordless feel, brainwashed, trophies of violence and dead behind the eyes are way better, just saying
Adam Rose I do like Silence Speaks, but I love the songs you said for completely different reasons. I’d say Our Courage, Our Cancer though - been one of my favourites since This Is The Six dropped.
Nathan Baker be(lie)ve is my fav from that album actually, then death toll, then DBTE
I love watching your reaction videos because you come from a different musical background but you have such an open mind to many different styles of music and dont just listen to a song and say if it's good or bad you listen to the lyrics and digest the story they are trying to tell with each song and its refreshing to see someone who's not trying to jam their thoughts and opinions down other peoples throats. Dope video. Dope ass dude.🤘🤘
You're becoming one of my favorite youtuber's and you're one of the best reaction channels out here, that's for sure. I love how you break down the whole thing from start to finish instead of just giving some dumb and unrelated comments.
Keep it going my man👍
Parkway Drive you need Idols and Anchors, and Carrion
xSlattzZ
Carrion, absolutely! My favorite of theirs!
just anything from killing with a smile - atlas.
Parkway Drive - Boneyard ❤️❤️
FFDP CZ/SK THERE'S BLOOD IN THE WATER!
nah sirens song, "death by fleshlight"
THEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREEES BLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD IIIIIIINNNNNNNNN THEEEEEEEEEEEEE WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. I WOULD RATHER SEE YOUR FACE IN HELL THAN SPEAK ANOTHER WORD OF THIS PERFECT FUCKING WORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRLD.
that almost made me cream myself when i saw that played live.
FFDP CZ/SK one of my all time favorite songs
Boneyard the must crushing and brutal breakdown in metal IMO
First off, I want to say I love how close you pay attention to the minor details of not only the lyrics but also the meanings behind the music videos. Your analysis is freaking spot on. And I also love how deep your getting into the metal scene. Much love and mad respect dude. With that being said, I'm putting together a list of bands you should check out in the Post hardcore/Metalcore genre's. I'm not asking you to make a video on all these bands. But I honestly do believe you're really starting to enjoy this genre. This list is in no particular order. Anybody feel free to add band I may have forgotten.
Chasing Safety, Get Scared, Issues, Parkway Drive, Silverstein, August Burns Red, Ice Nine Kills, Wage War, Oceans Ate Alaska, Gidion, Alesana, Architects, Chunk! No Captain Chunk, Hawthorne Heights, Woe is Me, Texas in July, Any Given Day, The Browning, Altessa, Like Moths To Flame, Palisades, Jamie's Elsewhere, Atilla, The Amity Affliction, Chuggaboom, Alazka, Grasslands, After the Burial, Beartooth, Capture the Crown, A Feast for a King, Outline in Color, Our Last Night, and Now or Never.
This is nowhere near all the bands that could or should be listed. Although these are all band that come to mind at the moment. Ant to all my metal friends and family. I'm always looking for more bands to listen to. Educate me. Love you all. :)
Feed her to the sharks! You'll love em
IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!
While She Sleeps - Silence Speaks!
Adorján Kiss While She Sleeps - Mmmm brilliant direction
That song got me into WSS
Or brainwashed
I Love WSS!
Yaaasss!!!
React to Parkway Drive, "crushed".
Definitly do this song, its also a topic of "today" and absolutely gives me goosebumps!
Thy Art Is Murder- Reign of Darkness
Thy Art Is Murder- Holy War
NEW GODS ARISE
Yess
Shiiiiit, this just made me realise how much I miss the old PWD
😭😭😭right
I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking that
Right? I could snap my neck to ALL of their songs before IRE. IRE and Reverence aren’t as good but there’s still some bangers in the mix of them.
Love them so much!
Killing With A Smile!!!
Some bands to try like Parkway Drive would be: August Burns Red, The Devil Wears Prada, Miss May I, Memphis May Fire, and Oh Sleeper. Just to name a few lol
so while this is a good parkway drive song, i think you would like some of their newer stuff better like Destroyer, bottom feeder, vice grip, wishing wells, prey......also you should check out some While she sleeps...also a very good band
Marco Fiorenza id agree, not sure why he went with Dark Days, but its a good song. Id say its probably middle of the pack. Bottom Feeder would be good!
yeah he just doesn't really know the band to well, i think if he listened to their music after leaving metal core he would enjoy it.... especially deathless song ft. jenna mcdougal...such a good song
Yea Wishing Wells is such a fun video to see reactors react to!
They always go nuts hahaha
Bottom feeder 👍
Yes yes yes, please please do 1 of these songs
Honestly i was not expecting your reaction. Im a big time parkway fan and to see someone that doesnt normally correlate to this music and understand it is awesome
Bro I was about to comment on a newer video and tell you to react this but I found it and am so happy. love them!
So just a little thing about the metalcore stuff and metal stuff in general. This part of the song 6:34 is called the breakdown its the heaviest part of the whole song and its ment to get crowds crazy, usually drummers experiment with different kick patterns and guitarists do open palm muted chunks to make it heavier. it can be likened to a drop in dubstep or like a hard trap beat that really gets you going.
thanks!
Man it's been really cool watching your progression of metal music. I first found your videos when you reacted to your "first" slipknot song. I think I was late on that one but I've still watched some of them in order. I really enjoy how opened minded you are to a genre of music a lot of people typically blindly hate on because they don't understand it. I first watched said Slipknot, and your reaction to Pieces by Jinjer, both of which I was ready for you to hate on. Which has not at all been the case. Kudos to you my friend!
As far as my suggestions, "It's hard to speak without a tongue" "Romance is Dead" "The Sirens' Song" "Carrion" "The River" and "Vice Grip"
Omg so happy that you listened to them!!! You should check more of their songs - A Deathless Song, Vicious, Wishing Wells, Devil’s Calling, Bottom Feeder, Crushed. AND CHECK A DAY TO REMEMBER AS WELL!!! You will love that band 🖤🤘🏻
You had a great breakdown of this song! I have shared there lyrics to this songs numerous times! I don't feel like the general public who listens to pop and rap/hip hop music realizes how much metal and rock music sheds light on sensitive and dark topics that needs to be talked about more seriously.
I am definitely going to be sharing this video! And keep on doing your thing!! I love you channel so far.
Another band with powerful lyrics about the world and the environment is Fit For An Autopsy!! Check out the song Black Mammoth!!!
Adam Castillo novelists fuck yea
FUCKING YES!!! AWSOME DUDE
You just a got a new subscriber man awesome video really cool that you actually look into the music and get past the screaming not many non metal fans can do that so that’s awesome 🙏🏻
best reaction video. couldn't of said it better myself nice one dude.
Parkway Drive - Karma
Sleight of hand
WOW !!
Heavy lyrics, man !!
Glad to see Parkway Drive getting props from far and wide. First saw these guys over 10 years ago in a high school hall. One of the most intense gigs ever and needless to say was shut down due to excessive noise.
Crazy that how after years of listening to this kind of music i can understand everything he says, Winstons vocals are some of the easiest to understand, but anyone i show Parkway to, they can't understand a word. Love it.
Finally. my fav band check out their new album came out this month is great!
Is totally a new genre so some fans really dont like their last 2 albums cus they arent 100% metalcore anymore but I dont mind I think they make great music everytime and now I can listen to the new and old stuff and having it not being one note only.
Listen Thy Art is Murder - They will know other. My favourite environmentalist music video.
this is good, i love how you love metal :) keep at it and ill keep watching...Subscribed from this video alone.
Alex you are reminding me how much I love this genre of music.
I have been watching more and more of your videos and think it is great you are doing them and your outlook on music. Parkway drive was a good choice for sure and such a powerful video, my suggestion for another parkway drive song if you haven’t done it already would be Karma!
In Flames - Cloud Connected
please please please
August Burns Red- invisible enemy.
And if you can rock out to this, I now knight you... a metal head.
I really wish more people like you would.open their minds to the world of metal!!! People get so turned off by the intense vocals and they don't hear the message. Really loving your vids bro keep up the good work you got a new sub!!
I really enjoy parkway drive, been waiting for this tbh
React to Holy war by Thy Art is murder
Holy Wars... The Punishment Due should come first.
Nashid Mamoon its Holy war Not Holy wars..
Umm do you know the song Holy Wars... The Punishment Due by Megadeth? Classic metal song
Nashid Mamoon i know the Song but I mean Holy war by Thy Art is murder
Parkway is crunchyyyyy
My brother and I always bonded over music and this is the last band he told me to listen to before he passed away.
I love Parkway Drive. My friend just saw them, August Burns Red and The Devil Wears Prada in concert last week. Amazing show.
Took me by surprise
Parkway Drive - Prey. The Void. Just a couple of their newer hits.
I love the way you describe my favorite band, much respect
Haha his face at the breakdown @ 6:35... Parkway Drive has some of my favorite breakdowns ever.
React to Parkway Drive, “Wishing Wells.”
Bubbles The Monkey no!!! Not that!! This is terrible video
Lilekornik K it's ok if the videos is terrible, the song is amazing enough to make up for it
disabelle100 you've right but Alex like cool look videos. Wishing Wells is very truly but it is shity video... Better select something different.
Lilekornik K The song is very personal, and the video reflects that. Winston also gives a very impressive and intense performance, especially given that it’s all one shot.
Hunter_Scars I’m sorry, but they were nowhere NEAR as technically proficient on either of those albums as they are now. Not to say either of those albums are bad, but they’re pretty by the numbers. Deep Blue was the first time they really showed that they had a lot more potential than a lot of other metalcore bands. Their lyricism and songwriting has matured a lot especially since Killing With a Smile. I can’t deny those albums have some insane breakdowns though.
You should react to the parkway drive documentary
I've listened to this song countless times and that break down gives me chills everytime
Parkway is one of my favs. I saw them live twice. And that was before they were huge
Should look into their newer stuff, they do a lot more changes in the vocals, Vice Grip and Bottom Feeder are excellent. Also, Strayan bands kick a ton of ass, another group that I'll always recommend to anyone and everyone is Twelve Foot Ninja. One Hand Killing is a bit of a tough song to get into, but Shuriken, Invincible, and Mother Sky are fantastic entries into their uniqueness.
You have to do carrion by parkway drive
Hell yeah man...Parkway Drrive is definitely one of my favorite bands. Rock on brother
The fact that he paused it in the middle of the break down was like noooooo you just can’t do that. Haha.
Architects - Doomsday
Joe Franklin Nice profile pic my man ;) im trying my best to get him to react to doomsday aswell! Lets hope he does it soon!
David Romberg ah thanks! Hopefully yeah. Loads of people are requesting it
I have scoured the comments of almost all of your metal reaction videos and have yet to see anyone mention Devildriver! You should absolutely checkout anything from their album Fury of Our Maker's Hand! This is actually why I subscribed, in the hopes that you would react to their work. They have been at it for a long time. Some of the best work out music out there!
I think it's time for another Parkway Drive video, Alex!
Yo alex just subbed, this was my first time watching your videos, Youre killing it. But yeah dude first time i watched the dark days video i cried. i too listen to alot of different genres and i try to get many people hip but metal always seems the hardest for people, despite the DEPTH of lyrical and musical content! anyways i appreciate you dood, nioce!
deftones - hexagram :)
offonanadventuree Yes, please
offonanadventuree fucking brilliant track
More Parkway please! I would recommend anything by them. Shadow Boxing is great with its mix of melody, growls, and riffs
Parkway fuggin slays, will always be one of my favorite groups, they are awesome chill dudes as well
Just saw PW live at the Warfield Theater in San Francisco, California. They were off the hook. One of the best live shows I have seen in a while. Flawless and powerful.
