Vinnie and Dime ...Thunder and Lightning together again!
They're finally riding together again, I can only hope they're still rocking out together now
CaptainAwesomeGuy of course they are
Rodney Houser these two were the only deaths in music that really hurt me

Yep, I give props to Phil and Rex, (hate on Anselmo all you want, but no denying those vocals could only come from him, and only at that time in his life) but without Vinnie and Dime there is no Pantera. Lucky for us recordings live on indefinitely..
@@jbm0866 without phil pantera wouldn't have got that far
@@daniel_cfh2783
Maybe, maybe not, but still doesn't take away from the fact a Pantera reunion is now impossible. Personally I'd say the point that happened was when Dime got killed, but now that Vinnie's gone as well, Rex and Phil aren't Pantera (and weren't founding members)..they were just a big part of the successful years.
@@jbm0866 WTF you talking about; Phil was the *ONLY* non-founding member. Rex Brown was originally known as "Rexx Rocker" and was actually the original lead singer for like ten minutes until they got Terry Glaze, a.k.a. "Terry Lee."
Dimebag said he came home drunk at like 5 in the morning and ripped a solo, thankfully having the wherewithal to record it, because that’s all the song needed for completion. He said he woke up the next day and said “Guess I better get on that solo.” Went into the studio and ran the tape back and was like “Damn. Thats pretty good.” Lol! He didn’t even remember doing it.
i don't think you are a hip-hop head anymore
Nope. He's evolved. Yay
You can be both!

shit dude... that comment almost made me cry. Rock on bro
So true.

I met Vinnie once. He came to my home town here in Canada for a meet and signing. Dime was always my idol, he was already gone...meeting Vinnie and getting him to sign a Dime tribute piece of art my brother painted for me was surreal. He was so genuine when he told me the art moved him. The Abbott brothers were always about the fans. It's bitter sweet Vinnie is gone...but now he's throwing back Black Tooth Grins with Darrell...and that is a happy picture. Getcha' pull!! RIP
Tyrell Scott that's awesome, reminds me I gotta head to my local watering hole for a black tooth grin, still waiting to meet a bar tender that knows the drink without it being explained.
Where in Canada? I am from Ottawa.
My fiance died in a car accident in 2003, this song has always struck a cord with me. I'm glad you liked it.

When I was about 8 years old my dad had this as his phone ringtone and he would get his friends to call him just so he could listen to the song(we were dirt poor) so my two sibling and I went to HMV and grabbed the greatest hits of pantera and gave it to him for his birthday.. I’ve never seen him that happy even to this day.. just one little CD made a grown man tear up and I grew up loving pantera ! Glad to see another hip hop head enjoys these masters at their art

This song got me into Pantera in the first place. I think this song is beautiful.
You don't hear many people say that Metal is beautiful.
I think that needs to change.
Oh it's gonna happen if not has happened already....but it's the anthem and the place u ran to to hide away and find comfort when I was a teenager......METAL SAVED AND SOOTHED MY LIFE THROUGH OUT MY WHOLE LIFE!
SO YES METAL IS F&CKIN BEAUTIFUL!;!
Lots of people think metal is beautiful. lol metalheads think this. Even ppl who don't listen to metal notice the connections to classical music in death and black metal
Metal is beautiful.... metal saved my life.. that's pretty fuckin beautiful 🤘🖤🤘
Pantera- 5 minutes alone
crazy j oh hell yeah he definitely needs to react to that one
This. Do it. 5 Minutes is my fav Pantera song ever

After all this time I can't stop wondering, are you still a Hip-Hop-Head? It's time to grow your hair and beard out boy! Embrace the sweet sweet Metal!
My husband and I were huge Pantera fans.. he passed away in July. This song has never been more personal. I miss you Keith.
Fun fact: Dimebag Darrel's guitar playing sounds a bit different than most guitar players in metal for a few reasons, one of them being he does not use a tube amplifier. Tubes are preferred over more modern transistors by most guitar players for their distortion qualities. Dimebag used a transistor-based amplifier instead, and it lends a unique sound.
Interestingly, so does John Gallagher from Dying Fetus.
Solid state amps have thier share of devotees as well, they can provide a tightness tubes cant. I like a tubeish lead tomr, but its Ampeg VH-140C for banging it out. Tube amps are pricier up front and require massive upkeep by comparison, thus they're what manufacturers make the most money on coming and going. Sonce they provide huge revenues via advertising, the "popularity" of valve technology is promoted heavily thru media. I.E., it's more than a little bit straight up HYPE. In true blind listening tests even alleged tone experts have repeatedly failed to discern between tubes and solid state...just the facts...
Solid state, eq, passive pickups, no mids
He tunes his guitars slightly off of standard too. It's I think a quarter step sharp or flat.
The mastery he had over the guitar had alot to it also, his texas style is absolutely unbeatable
Drop d tuning helps as well
Thank you so much bruh!!!. Means a lot to us metalheads. 😭
For Dime and Vinnie.

C'mon... Lemmy on vocals. No question.
What about Dio on Vocals?
Did you know it was actually Rex on all the acoustic parts not Dime
I did not know that. That's an awesome piece of information. Thanks
Didn't know that but I did here that a lot of times if you hear two guitars usually rex is playing the rhythm part
NO SHIT? REALLY? Wow, I never knew that. Shit like the 12-string part in Suicide Note Pt1?
I never knew that! Thank you for that information! 🤘🏼
@@randydiviney4156 Yes to playing the parts on Cemetery Gates, but as far as Suicide Note Pt.1, I know Washburn sent Dimebag a 12-string acoustic and he pulled it out of the box and wrote the song. Maybe Rex plays it during the recording, I dunno. But I imagine Dime wrote the Cemetery Gates stuff too.
Pantera - Hollow
If you've ever lost a best friend like I have then this song will hit you hard!
Pantera - Hollow
Felipe Valdés Hell yeah
1 of my all time favorite songs. I think of my mom who passed away from years of prescription drug abuse. R.i.p. mama. I love you
Fuck, I'm sorry man 😢
So..this song is for you😭
I’m sorry for your loss😢
I met Pantera on the "far beyond drunk" tour in 94, great memory, Vinnie Paul was a great man
King Quad I wish I could have saw them live.
I seen them during the vulgar tour
Amazing
They could have crushed the rock world.
Tragically they will never jam together again.
I always love when people say metal is bad, or evil. It’s neither of those. Metal is just filled with some awful feelings. Losing friends and family, suicide, war, depression and anxiety, etc. A lot of us metalheads use these songs to cope with our problems. I don’t see any music genre that really shows these horrible emotions so strongly. RIP VINNIE PAUL AND DIMEBAG
FoodIt3ms that’s what they don’t get. Metal is NOT bubblegum feel-good pop. It’s real music made by real people (not a committee of marketing execs) who’ve been through some shit themselves. It’s about acknowledging and probing the darker parts of the human soul and bringing the things that we all go through out into the light and dealing with them. A lot of people live in such a state of constant denial that they are uncomfortable with the idea of thinking about depression, grief, rage, existential angst and so on. They defend their little bubble by lashing out with shit-talk. Fuck ‘em.
sugoruyo Feel good pop. That’s a joke. Metal makes me feel better than any pop song.
FoodIt3ms totally agree. If im having a bad day I plug into what metal group fits my mood. After a few songs feel better.
FoodIt3ms anyone who says metal is bad are usually the people who say lil peep or xxxtentacion's music was inspirational and helped with depression
Metal is about a healthy release of all the negative feelings. I tell people: I'm not angry cuz I metal, I metal cuz I'm angry. Phil Anselmo sang in Mouth For War: "The releasing of anger can better any medicine under the sun". And whatever you may feel about them, that's also what Metallica's St Anger(song AND album) was about. R.I.P. Vinnie, he's finally jamming with Dime again. Glad I got to see Pantera in 2001
You know, when I was 13 years old I heard PanterA for the first time on head bangers ball. I'm 40 now and can tell you I was destroyed when Dime was murdered, I cried for a month solid. Losing Vince now, hurts and it really hasn't sunk in yet that he's gone. PanterA to this day is my all time favorite band. They Carried the metal flag when no one else would. These men influenced me and so many to start their own bands and I will tell you the members of PanterA were my hero's. It sucks that they are dying off. R.I.P Vince. Forever Stronger Than All!

Getcha pull son! Cheers mate, Rest in Power Vinnie and Dime. #vanhalen
steven vanorder yea I’ve been lucky that I’ve been able to see them live.
I was 9 when I first heard them my bro in law blasting them in the car, it was this song those high harmonics and squeals that grabbed me. I’m 35 now, will never be a band as heavy as them. Will never be a band to satiate my thirst, nor fill this void we’ve lost.
Since Dime’s passing I’ve listened to them less and less, and now that Vince has passed as well... i can’t listen at all yet... they will always be my favorite band. So catch ya on the flip side and getcha pull \m/
steven vanorder do you follow cj Ortiz on fb...metal motivator?
Recorded for a lost friend without knowing it would later become a memorial for both brothers. :(
R. I. P Dime and Vinnie
In my opinion, this is their "painkiller". It's got all the best elements of their band, showcasing their collective skill and making some of the most iconic sounds ever heard.
Pantera were an amazing band. I started playing guitar 23 years ago when I was 10 years old and one of my biggest influences was Dimebag Darrell. He was one of my biggest Idols ever. When he died it was the only time I ever shed tears over a celebrity or Rockstar dying. Vinnie Paul was no different he was the greatest metal drummer that ever lived in my opinion the world has lost two amazing musicians. But the Abbott Brothers will always live on in our hearts.
B - Man-Vaper well said brother
Love vinnie to death but, Dave Lombardo
There's actually a Pantera song about losing a friend that even better applies to Vinnie Paul's death, not directly of course but at least in the sense that it's about losing a friend. It's called Hollow. It was the final track off of Vulgar(that album that has that Walk track on it). I don't know if you take reaction requests but I think it would be dope-af if you did Hollow
Hollow is a great song. The final minutes makes Hollow that much better
Love that song.

If you are depressed you live in the past, if you got anxiety you live in the future. Gave me something to think about aswell. Thanks for the reaction and an awesome song it is indeed.
Your ears have been blessed and baptized.
Was really hoping Vinnie would forgive Phil before the end of his life, Pantera had such a tragic end, now its only Rex and Phil left. Dammit.
That aside I honestly do wanna see a reaction to A Little Piece of Heaven from A7X too.
MegaCake1234 there's no pantera without the Abbott brothers. It's their creation. Tragic but we'll always have the music! Rip Vin Rip Dime! Pantera forever!
Vinnie said many times he would never speak to Phil again, wasn't ever expecting a make up.
Yeah I'm aware, but even given that it wasn't fully Phil's fault the fact he was never willing to forgive Phil is just poor, like not to talk bad about a dead legend but at this point Vinnie was being way overboard at the end.
MegaCake1234 Phil is a fucking douchebag. Yeah he is a great singer but I highly doubt any of us would get along with Phil in person. It's unreasonable to have wanted Vinny to make up with someone he likely, honestly, didn't even like anymore.
PsionicMonk completely agree with u. Met them when I ran a signing at a record store during their reinventing the steel tour. Both Phil and Rex were 2 of the biggest douchebags I’ve ever met in the music scene and the Abbott brothers the opposite. Both really cool down to earth humble guys. They were fun to party with. R.I.P. Vinnie and DB
Here's why Anselmo is one of the best vocalist in Metal History.
Also, incredible riff and awesome solo, full of sensibility

Hey bro, I just wanna express how great it is to see a real music lover travel outside of his/her topical genre, and enjoy it! More so, it's amazing to see am individual light up from it. It's common to see an impression made, or a feeling of respect (the nod of arrival), but I can see in your reaction vid, that you now carry the Pantera torch too! Just about any song you play and experience from them, will flip your eyelids back 😂
Glad you took the time to explore Pantera! Vinnie Paul and the Guitarist, Dimebag Daryl were brothers. Each had overwhelming impact in music threw there lives! We were blessed to have had them. Thanks bro

It's simple for me. I remember hearing Pantera when they first made it big (I'm 46 btw). They were completely different than anything else. Long story short, I've seen them 9 times live. Regretfully, in some ways, I never really watched them. However I always had to buy a new concert shirt each time as I would "lose" the one I wore there. I still have my 1996 shirt from the last time I saw them. It shows it's age well and is a great memory from such a awesome time. I'm glad that you are able to appreciate something that has been a part of many peoples lives for decades now. It truly was one of the best eras in music. Keep it real.
This is my all-time favorite guitar solo in a song. Never fails to give me chills.

I know this falls into unbelievable CSB territory, but I not only met Vinnie but he sat on my families couch and drank one of my dads beers once. I lived in Arlington, Tx at the time...(around 91-92) and Vinnie was going after the next door neighbors daughter. (about 20 years old then iirc) I had just gotten home from school and nobody else was home, and here is this somewhat scary looking bearded dude with a trucker hat knocking on the neighbors door...I didn't know who he was but the Dallas Cowboys t-shirt he was wearing disarmed me and I felt at ease enough to say "can I help you with something?" Vinnie said "I'm supposed to pick up

You definitely picked one of the most awesome songs out there. I don't even want to say more or request another song, let's just honor Vinnie Paul here. RIP Vinnie and may you continue to rock with Dimebag wherever you are now
I really like your reactions! The fact you're willing to check out with such openness to a genre you're not familiar with is really great,

Rip Vinnie Paul you'll be missed and never forgotten!
Sorry that I'm commenting again, but you needa get into Pantera more. The more you listen to, the more you'll love them, I'm positive. They go from a song like This Love, to Primal Concrete Sledge.
Their range was insane. I have nothing but respect for Pantera's musical endeavours. Phil's antics tho, not so much
Liam Jorgensen the whole thing about Phil saying white power was a misunderstanding. At least from his side, there were a couple people in the audience who were calling him a racist and it pissed him off so that’s why he did it
The music was truly epic, Phil was a true fucking dick.
Phil is a nice guy. The hate he gets is RIDICULOUS.
Integrity101 he really isn’t. I saw them live and he was a prick the entire time, treating tech crew and fans like shit.
Then the whole nazi thing just kinda put a cherry on it. He did mean it, any bullshit explanation was shown to be shit by Robb Flynn, someone who was actually there.
Hunter Measures I wasn't talking about that itself. I was talking about the fact that Phil's just kind of a dick.
This is Epic and nothing compares to it. So much Soul into music & lyrics.
I don’t why I’m so into these videos, doesn’t seem like something I’d be into. Thanks for making these. All the songs I grew up loving and it’s like hearing them for the first time again
was so bummed out when i heard vinnie paul had passed but im sure his brother was waiting for him on the other side so they can rock out in heaven RIP Vinnie

Man you never disappoint with satisfying us Metal heads, always coming at us with a nice variety of awesome music. I personally love how you break down every part of the songs to appreciate the subtle meanings they have, instead of being like every metal band is emo. Anyway, i believe you will love A little Peice of Heaven with your girl friend. Every one I see says it and its about a really "great" relationship. Either way keep doing what you do because it is 🤘 awesome.🤘

God how the Witch King of Angmar is so cool looking
A person like you is a good influence to be open minded to music no matter what type of style. Keep on listening to more rock, alternative and grunge music. It's cool having to see you and you girl on first time hearing rock music. Post more of you both. Would like a shirt though.
