thank you for doing the full version, instead of the mtv bastardization and shortening of this song music video that so many reactors react to. but they always miss the best intro of all time. dime solo in the beginning sets the tone for the whole song along with phils soft vocals.
True!!!! We can"t understand that the band let them cut the begginning of this beautiful song. One question for you cycomike, are you a Suicidal Tendencies and Cyco Mike Muir fan? What a good idea if @barsandbarbells2022 can do a reaction video of a Suicidal Tendencies song like "You can't bring me down" or "I will I laught tomorrow...If I can't even smile today".
Before they got big and were still doing the bar scene, they played here (Shreveport) every other weekend. I'm mostly saw them at the Sandpiper on Monkhouse drive. Dime and Vinny were very friendly and fun to be around. Me being a drummer I was always in Vinny's ear.
Never got to see Pantera live unfortunately but their shows even back in the Glamtera days were legendary all over the South. Basically if a band played your house party back in the day and the band wasn't Pantera, they were probably trying real hard to BE Pantera
I quit my job to see them live in 2001. The show was Biloxi Mississippi and I don’t regret quitting that lame job because 2001 was the last tour for Pantera and soon to be Death of Dime in 2004
Pantera has sooo many great songs, I’m pretty sure you would love the song “walk”. Also “This Love” and “5 minutes alone” are worth a listen. I could go on and on with songs from Pantera that would be worth a chance, but these are some of their most popular hits.
Mouth for War is a must!!!! That riff will straight up punch you in the face & make you feel completely invisible. I listen to Pantera almost everyday & these are probably my favorites… ~ War Nerve ~ Slaughtered ~ Mouth for War ~ The Sleep ~ Hollow ~ Live in a Hole ~ This Love ~ Floods ~ Regular People ~ Sandblasted Skin
When you hear Jimi Hendrix play you know you’re listening to Jimi….when you hear Eddie Van Halen play you know you’re listening to Eddie….and when you hear Dimebag Darrell Abbott play you know you’re listening to Dimebag. They all had their own guitar sound.
I always saw this song as the bridge between the band Pantera was and the band Pantera would later become. The song itself seems like a sequel of sorts to an earlier song of theirs, "We'll Meet Again", which also is a heavy ballad with a great riff and wild solos by Dime and Marc Ferrari. Probably my favorite Pantera song and the one I would recommend to anyone wanting to know what this band was all about
I just got to go see the remaining members of Pantera last Tuesday. It was absolutely incredible. They didn't perform this song, but they played a recording while playing videos of Dimebag and Vinnie (RIP). It was a beautiful tribute and brought tears to my eyes. Zakk Wylde filled Dime's shoes incredibly 🖤 Phil's vocals are still on point. I'll never ever forget that night 🥺
Pantera - Heavy riffage, a staple in their music. Sorry to hear your cat, Tiffany, is getting ready for Cemetery Gates, lol. Digging your own grave Phil? lol. You're on today, lol. Anything off their Cowboys From Hell album is great.
"Well, I guess you took my youth And gave it all away Like the birth of a new-found joy This love would end in rage". The lyrics make me believe this song is about child-abuse. I know someone who was a victim of child-abuse. So this song means so much to me.
Congratulations for being the only reaction site to do the correct version. I only clicked on it to see if you got it right and stayed once I saw that you did. 👍
so glad you did full version👍🏼🤘🏼💓. Loving your channel. Request.. Please check out the band Queensryche . Start off with there live version of “Take hold of the Flame”. from Tokyo 1984 . Enjoy your musical journey
You guys are right, my fellow rock friends. Queensryche is awesome. They also have a huge catalog of hits. Their biggest hit was a ballad called "Silent Lucidity" I would recommend the whole "Operation: Mindcrime" album, and you kinda have to listen to the whole album because it's a concept album. Though not every video from the album is featured in the Video:Mindcrime collection, you still get the full story in the videos that they made for the album.
Fell in love with them on 101 proof, then went back. One of my all time favorites, song and band. The guitar match echo! Suggestions; I’m broken, suicide notes 1&2, primal concrete sledge, drag the waters. R.I.P. brothers.
I can't believe you haven't done any reactions to Skid Row yet! "18 and Life" "I Remember You" "Quicksand Jesus" "Wasted Time" Also, their cover version of Jimmy Hendrix's "Little Wing" The song "Wasted Time" was written about one of Guns N' Roses original guitarist, Steven Adler and his problems with addiction. And the beautiful thing is that these are just a few of the songs showcasing Skid Row's musicianship skills and Sebastian Bach's voice. The band never really maintained their popularity after Sebastian Bach left (or was fired) from the band. And let's not forgot to mention that Skid Row, as well as the band Cinderella were given a push into the music industry by Bon Jovi.
I play this song every year on March 17th... My best friend was killed in a car accident. She was 18.. I was 19 at the time... I was a pallbearer at her funeral, and carried her to her last resting place on March 17, 1993... RIP Renée Lynn Stuart 7/20/1974-3/12/93..😢😢❤❤
The Album "Far beyond driven" by Pantera is pretty great, also check out Sepultura and their album "Roots", strong Brazilian tribal influences to their very heavy metal ditties . Give it a lash, Ah go on (⬅the most persuasive argument an Irishman can make).
This is a great song and a ballad so yes most people like it but lets get a little more rowdy and check out cowboys from hell. Glad your checking them out 🤘🏼
What did you guys think of the interaction between singer (Phil) and guitarist (Dimebag) at the end of the song? It's like they were having a conversation. The guitarist was answering/mimicking what the vocals were saying. Supposedly Phil wrote this song about one of his friends who had committed suicide. I would recommend watching the video for this song featuring clips from the first Crow movie, hopefully it's still on RUclips.
This is my personal favorite Pantera song. I hate when people recommend that live domination performance for someone's first time hearing them. Phil was catering to an audience that were already fans and knew his music so he was focusing on max energy and entertainment rather than vocals. You should check out "Cowboys From Hell" by them next.
Please do a reaction to the song "I'm Broken" by Pantera, especially with t he official video if possible. The guitarist is gone, but his music and influence in the rock world lives on.

Call me weird but "Shattered" is my favorite song by them Probably because I'm a Rob Halford simp🤣 If I wanna have some whiskey and fuck shit up, anything from the first half of Reinventing the Steel is my go to. Hey good people you gotta check out some Dream Theater. Else you’re missing a big part of rock/metal genre. They are the modern face of progressive rock or metal. Pull me Under by Dream Theater is a great way to start with. And check out the original studio version as the official video has shortened the song because of the radio songs being too long at that time. Keep rocking guys 🤘🏻

Likely the most beautiful song by Pantera. Phil's voice was just insane ❤
...also Planet Caravan.
@@mapexzildjian6361their planet caravan cover is so good man, even recently at those tribute shows they sounded great and Phil vocals were great too.
The beginning of hollow by pantera is beautiful. The lyrics are also great. However this is another great one
Stop what you're doing and listen to We'll Meet Again by Pantera. Best Dime solo of all time too.
@@YesOkayButWhy the sleep solo is the best Dime solo imo
I used to partake in smoking sessions with the band as they played our little bar in MUENSTER TEXAS. GOOD TIMES!
Before they got big and were still doing the bar scene, they played here (Shreveport) every other weekend. I'm mostly saw them at the Sandpiper on Monkhouse drive. Dime and Vinny were very friendly and fun to be around. Me being a drummer I was always in Vinny's ear.

I use to see them in Fort Worth at Joe's garage back in the day. Super small club. Then Dallas city limits and the basement as well.
@@neilpatrickhairless
This was at the end of the Glam band thing, they were playing off of Cowboys from Hell.
They were always in Lawton, Oklahoma as well in those days. Or Wichita Falls. I'd travel for their shows and after party shenanigans
I quit my job to see them live in 2001. The show was Biloxi Mississippi and I don’t regret quitting that lame job because 2001 was the last tour for Pantera and soon to be Death of Dime in 2004

Groove Metal of the 90's.

Fun reaction.
You are correct, even Halford was trying to be them, with his fantastic FIGHT band. I love OVERKILL's 90's groove material as a close 2nd to Pantera!!
Epic song! Pantera has a lot of epic songs and great energy!
Probably the most badass metal song ever. Along with Enter Sandman by Metallica and songs like this. Peak metal. Great reaction.
I've heard this song a thousand times and still get chills 😎 🤘.
