R.I.P. Dime and Vinny, you are missed GREATLY! "Walk", "Cowboys From Hell", then "5 Minutes Alone", and "I'm Broken", also "Cemetery Gates" if you wanna hear Phil's range.
not sure what all the other dumb arse comments mean....this is pure energy..physics says energy cant be created nor destroyed. which leads me to believe this is pure electricity...RIP Dime and Vinny
R.I.P Abbot brothers damn shame Zack is robbing the tons of new fans for refusing to divebomb travesty give a damn if was great friends ola would of slayed it
Dime and Vinny were two rock stars that didn't act like rock stars. They were amazing down to earth people who loved mingling with the fans. I saw them live twice and both times they hung out with the fans outside by the tour bus. Just laughing, joking and having a few drinks with us. They are sadly missed.
Fun fact: once you hear this version of Domination you can't go back to the album one. Also, at 7:25, the solo is so holy that color appears in a black and white video.
Just found you guys, subbed for a Pantera journey...don't let me down 😬...this song has the heaviest drop ever, but is also one of Phil's harshest songs, his range and clarity are actually amazing...you'll find out 🔥
I seen pantera 3 times 93 15 once n twice In 94 last omg they was amazing pure carnage n entertainment 2000 people rip dimebag n vinnie Paul n thanks for mum n dad for being so amazing for letting me go ❤
Cemetary Gates (Official Video) is the next one you should check out from these legends, a slower one, more melodic with some insane vocal range from Phil and another stunning solo from Dimebag! I guarantee you will love it as most people do \m/
Pantera wasn't actually 'very big' here. That's what makes this so special for them. They were the opener, the other bands, The Black Crowes, Metallica, and AC/DC were certainly big, but Pantera wasn't yet. Only their first label released album was out at this point.
*Phil and Sam* I'm commenting before watching this as I was one of those recommending it.! I remember Phil saying about your reaction to Metallica at this 1991 Moscow concert and how the energy couldn't get any greater.! This is equal if not more IMHO.! This will be fun.........
I remember when I was in High school when Pantera was big and I had all the CDs and could not get enough of them in the car! It’s some killer driving music! Especially if you have a good sounding system, it slams! You’ll be ready to race anybody on the roads for 20 or fight for 20 when you listen to this one!
This song, while amazing, isn't the best example of the "groove" in "groove metal" until the last minute or two. Watch the end again and pay attention to what Vinnie is doing on the drum kit. He was such a stellar drummer.
It’s 2023 I am still always floored whenever I find people like you. Cannot believe they are NEW to you. God this song was our anthem in Highschool, I am glad and happy after all these years there is still fans being born each day. Welcome to the Family you 2 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Almost any pantera song will make you want to throw weights across the room. Great reaction. My personal favorite of theirs has always been mouth for war. I remember going to see these guys locally at a place called Joe's garage in Fort Worth, TX. They use to play that place quite a but when they were still in the local scene. R.I.P Dimebag and Vinnie. 2 brothers gone way too soon. I always make a stop to pay my respects at their grave whenever I go back home.
You could definitely make a Pantera workout playlist out of their catalog and you could even break it into workout categories. When this came out we're just a bunch of Meatheads in a garage with a heavy bag and speed bag and a and a bench and some dumbbells but we would hit it hard. Play some Pantera do some deadlifting clean and jerk. And just beat the snot out of a heavy bag. I would kill to have half that energy today😂😂😂 peace-and-love guys. Five Minutes Alone. It's Electric. I'm broken that's really cool the videos like a music video and a behind-the-scenes music video all the same time. Revolution is my name that's a pretty good video pretty good song I could keep going
Dime and Vinny how we miss you fellas!!! Rest In Paradise……. Dime GREATEST Guitarist of all time Zakk right behind him Vinny the most Underrated Drummer of all time I’m beyond blessed to have seen them perform live a few times even when they had Damage Plan….
First reaction video of Domination where the reactors haven't been overwhelmed by the size of the crowd...This was the 1991 Monsters of Rock tour (Metallica and The Black Crows also part of the line-up)and was in Moscow, Russia shortly after the collapse of the Soviet Union...apparently, there were upwards of 1.5m people in attendance...absolutely wild and Pantera killed it, I actually prefer this live version over the Vulgar Display of Power recording! EDIT: Domination was on the Cowboys from Hell album
This is called groove metal and as far as I’m concerned top 3 metal bands of all time along with Black Sabbath and Metallica. No one else sounds like these guys. As everyone else is mentioning, you will be blown away by Cemetery Gates. Just make sure to do the longer version.
Who needs coffee when all you have to do is listen to this song for all your energy needs? Every time I listen to this song, I want to run around and break things. One of the hardest-hitting metal songs ever written
This live version of the song is a bit more raw than the album version. Fans love it but I understand how the rawness makes entry into the band more difficult.
For the guitarist Dimebag Darrel,The guitar wasnt just an instrument,It was a part of him. A living, breathing appendage which he used to create sounds that were just iconic. Sadly he was taken from us too soon. He is Deeply missed by All his friends, fans, and family
AmazIng how HUGE Dime and Rex apoear on stage. They seem like GIANTS up there and yet both are little dudes. Especially Rex'. Yet they seem like giants in front of a Million+ people. Thats the Power of Pantera live back in the day.
Part of the issue with Phils vocals in this particular show, was that they were in the studio recording Vulgar Display of Power. They were invited to go to Moscow for this show. You dont say No to that. It was Pantera, The Black Crowes, Metallica and AC/DC.
For me and for most people who play guitar, Dime is the best of all time, and for some he isnt, but he 100% changed the way you play. He was so unique, technique, sound, vibrato, legato EVERYTHING man. He came to rock and rocked like no other. Great reaction and you should do more Pantera
Pantera was the biggest metal band of the 90's. Their southern influence created "groove metal" which is what you heard at the end but their influences in thrash metal, which is more the first half is always present in their music. The guitarist Dimebag Darrell is considered one of the greatest metal guitarist of all time and his influence is still heard from bands today. Go down this rabbit hole. You won't be disappointed!
Also if you are just beginning to explore metal which is what I understood by your comment you may want to try Faith No More and the song Epic that was their Breakthrough song and I believe you all would enjoy it very much
You are correct, since this is a live performance, his vocals are pretty rough. Plus when he's singing he'll leave out words to the lyrics (let the crowd sing them or say "Yeah" or something). If you listen to the studio version of this song, it comes across cleaner and you can really hear the caliber of his voice.
@@DjDown1984 no they were not, many band at the time were playing that fast, aggressive style. Just because many were inspired by them does not make them pioneers. That inspiration was because they were great artist. To be a pioneer ur bringing something new or unique and they did not. This is not to take away from their accomplishments and their talent but simply stating the truth.
Look, to just say Panteras speed and aggression were being done already takes away from their other features because, clearly they were far more than fast and aggressive, plenty of top metal musicians credit them with bringing something new to metal so I'll take their opinions over yours, no offence and none taken
R.I.P. Dime and Vinny, you are missed GREATLY! "Walk", "Cowboys From Hell", then "5 Minutes Alone", and "I'm Broken", also "Cemetery Gates" if you wanna hear Phil's range.
Primal concrete sledge
Also, every other song
@@Trendkiller196 Post Phil joining the band. Yes!
Cementary Gates!!! 😍

Dimebag Darrell Lance Abbott was and still is the greatest metal guitarist in music history! Rest in peace Dime and Vinny Paul.
100% agree. Greatest metal guitarist of all, no one comes close he's fukn nuts 😅😅😅
Amen brother 🤘

@@jaykay7093 I want to add Marty Friedman to that list aswell, two legends in their own league and better yet, their own style!
"I'm Broken" and "Mouth for War" are personal favorites from these guys. RIP Dime and Vinny.
The art of shredding
One of my favorite bands. Please check out more. You won't be disappointed! Dimebag was an iconic guitarist.
Dimebag flipping off Moscow to their faces is one of the best things ever
That was his index finger my guy
@DarkwingDuck1818 I'm blind as hell
Cant even describe how badass Pantera were , a fantastic band
1.6 MILLION people in the crowd... I can't picture that happening ever again.
They had to have helicopters fly over to circulate oxygen cause people were passing out

Album version is wayy better
Awesome reaction pantera goes hard! geez 0_0 look at all those people
This song is the ultimate hype song!!
There will never be another band like them . Period.
The whole Cowboys From Hell is a Great album.
"Primal Concrete Sledge" from this same show is a must...
19 years since Dime was taken and still no one has come close, getcha pull
They got the best out of Phil's voice in the studio, check out some studio stuff and you'll like him better
Welcome to the NEXT LEVEL!
This one leaves a bigger impression than they already left on the Metal genre. Pantera did dominate! RIP DIME! THANK YOU! 🤘
LONG LIVE PANTERA!
Thanks!
This is the best performance by any singer or any band ever.
The breakdown at the end of this song is one of the heaviest things in the universe. You two combined couldnt lift it.
Best breakdown in history, fkn A

I saw it live, gorgeous performance
Yeah! Gotta keep this video alive and seen! Love that breakdown! So heavy! Ahhhhhh!
They commonly go under thrash metal, but them self called it groove metal.
The Brothers Vinny Drums and Dimbag Guitar, grow up in a Blues/folk studio.
Think Phill vocal called it, housecore, as well.
It's definitely groove, not thrash

I saw them at least 9 times… Every time I hear that breakdown and solo I cry like a little baby. Chills.

One of my favorite pantera songs was living through me hells wrath on trendkill, no one ever mentions that song and its a great song
Something like nearly a MILLION people at this concert CFH
