    • @Chad_Fuckhammer
      @Chad_Fuckhammer 5 лет назад +3

      @@BLOEDVLEK I think Metallica has some heavier breakdowns. Creeping Death's break down is crazy heavy. So is One's. Just my opinion but Pantera doesn't have any albums heavy as Justice and Master of Puppets. Metallica was dark, brooding and heavy. Pantera to me is kinda like party metal if such a thing existed. Obviously they have a few really dark songs. Hollow, Cemetery Gates, This Love. Most old Metallica is pretty downcast dark and painfully expressed. Just to be clear I'm not calling Pantera thrash. Pantera is Pantera. Just saying their closest peers are the kings of thrash. Slayer, Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax, Exodus, Testament, etc. I'd say Anthrax and Pantera are closer cause they both have that punk influenced lets get drunk slam dance and forget all the bullshit party metal vibe. They were like what Ramones were in punk. Kinda dark. Kinda serious. But kinda fun and care free. A perfectly polarizing mix and heavy as shit. Love the channel name. One of my favorite Acid Bath songs. Grave Flower, Venus Blue, Dr Suess Is Dead, Dope Fiend, Locust Spawning.

      What I said may be funny, but I'm serious. They are metal. I see comments like that often about a lot of bands (KISS, Def Leppard, Van Halen, Ratt, etc.). It's like metal didn't exist before 1990, unless it was one of the Big Four.
      Regarding The Black Crowes, I wouldn't categorize them as alt rock either, rather just plain old rock. I don't see or hear anything "alt" about them.

The Father said that he wanted five minutes alone with Phil in a ring, to which Phil's Manager responded"No, you wouldn't want to go five minutes alone, in a ring, with Phil.

    200,000 watts of in your face. Love my fellow Texans that were so incredible. They wrote & recorded the Dallas Stars Hockey Team anthem in one afternoon many years ago that is used when every goal is scored. Pretty Damn Cool.RIP Dimebag. What a senseless tragedy.

    I'm sick right now to but if someone said they will kill me if I headbang to this Pantera performance then I would be a deadman. Still to this day this song has the heaviest breakdown ever.

    Yeah dude! Been hoping you would get to some Pantera. Back in the day this was THE go-to band of getting pumped up for a night out, for the gym, for about everything. They broke alot of new ground when they hit the scene big. Looking forward to the other 3 vids!

    Cliff (Burton) and Dimebag are the first things I think of when people talk about losing people too early. I'm glad Dime got a few more years than Cliff, but who knows what riffs Dime would be writing right now if he was still alive. We'll never get to hear what could have been.

    Pantera has a character that fits everything Texan
    Phill Anselmo: Metals bad ass. Do not fuck with him. He will break your face.
    Rex: Metals sweetheart. Extremely loveable guy that's down to earth. Humble to the core
    Brothers Dimbage and Vinnie: Everyones brothers. Would give you the shirt off their backs. (Dime gave me his when I was 15 at his house. I am now 39. Still have it) Long story. These two were so loved that DFW went silent for 10 minutes when the news broke out about Dime being murdered. Country, Hip Hop, Spanish, Classical, Oldies. Didn't matter. Silent.
    R.I.P. Brothers. Dime, I'll give you your shirt back when I see ya next.

    Pantera was formed as a band in 1981. Cowboys from hell album came out in 1990. Band members are drummer is VINNIE Paul he is the brother of the lead guitar dimebag Darrel Abbott the singer vocalist is Phil ANSALMO and the bass player is Rex brown. VINNIE died not long ago of a massive heart attack at home in Las Vegas. And dimebag Darrel the best guitarist ever was murder on stage in 2004. He was shot in the face by a fan of pantera because the band split up and the brothers formed a new band called damage plan. Damage plan consisted of pantera band members VINNIE Paul and dimebag Darrel and Rex brown. RIP VINNIE PAUL ABBOTT AND DIMEBAG DARREL ABBOTT.
