Whenever someone comes to the point of considering suicide, I always want to tell them a specific thing I read a few years ago, when I myself was a shitshow, and down in a hole. "Killing oneself does not end the pain; it simply replicates it, and inflicts it upon those who cherish you".
As someone suffering from anxiety attacks and existential crisis a lot of the time, anxiety can actually tell you that you're creating a better world by killing yourself, because you feel like a horrible person without anything positive to contribute. Alternatively, it could be for the lack of purpose in this fucked up world. People will get over it and move forward and eventually die aswell and I simply don't see any reason why my early death would make any impact whatsoever from a bigger perspective.
Ironically it was my most toxic ex that really drove the point home when I was self harming and suicidal by saying "Every time you cut yourself Im going to" which made me think 'she might be meaning it literally, but how would my parents, my brother, my friends feel inside?' I know its seen as a guilt trip but I prefer to see it as an eye opener. Still suffer from anxiety and depression but never even contemplated self harm or suicide in 10 years
You should seriously listen to 'until the world goes cold' by trivium. Seriously a great song and is quite a bit different to some of the other songs by them you have listened to
In waves is flippin' dope! I don't get why more people don't appreciate this period of their career. In terms of songwriting they were on their game and I feel they had the most identifiable identity during this time. Kind of would've lobbed them together with Killswitch etc. based on this, but as if that was a bad thing! I also like how Corey's screams started to factor in more on their album sound and using all of their voices in general. Just full and tasteful.

And it's even possible to add more like Avenged Sevenfold (some songs), Asking Alexandria, Phinehas, Helia, FFDP, While She Sleeps, Sonic Syndicate, Miss May I.... and lots more :) still, this combination of clean vocal and screaming is just awesome and its most known from Metalcore, I could agree with that :)

Jordan Ring ffdp went down hill after the second album, they are basically the disturbed of the metalcore genre....but I love their first 2 albums a lot.

That fusion of screaming and singing is a subgenre of heavy metal called Metalcore if you like this genre some other bands you may like are As I Lay Dying, Atreyu, Parkway Drive, Killswitch Engage, August Burns Red, all that remains, and bullet for my valentine

Metalcore is carachterized more by it's use of breakdowns combined with gothemburg-y riffs
Oh man, awesome choices of bands :) except Atreyu I listen to all of it. And it's even possible to add more like Avenged Sevenfold (some songs), Asking Alexandria, Phinehas, Helia, FFDP, While She Sleeps, Sonic Syndicate, Miss May I.... and lots more :) still, this combination of clean vocal and screaming is just awesome and its most known from Metalcore, I could agree with that :)
