Awesome Alex! Been suggesting my suggestion for months now. Hopefully you can react to it soon. You HAVE to react to the best metal song ever created yet. Many other reaction channels have watched it and have been amazed. It is Australian melodic death metal. Here comes the song: Eye of the Enemy - The Shift.
      You will be A M A Z E D.
      Cheers,
      William

Man, i can't believe how many of your metal reacts i've watched by now.
When i was browsing through some random musicvideos i found a "hiphop head reacts to slipknot" and was like, "the hell is this idiot doing, thinking he can compare metal to hiphop. I bet this is going to be funny and ridiculous." But boi, oh boi was i wrong.
I really liked that you informed yourself about the band, read some stuff about the lyrics and the meaning of them, and that you just had an open mind and an open heart for the music. I actually found some new gems through your reacts, bands i never heard of or never gave a real chance before.
So what i'm trying to say is thank you, for showing me new bands and making me rediscover old ones, but above all for bringing such a positive energy and making my day brighter (no homo though :P).
    Peace

Killswitch is one of those bands that gave me the music taste I have today and it's awesome to see you going down the same path as you expand your taste. You're one of my favorites Alex, keep doing what you're doing.

    • @bdarne0024
      @bdarne0024 6 лет назад +1

Derek Charette fact is the word he's looking for is heavy not a thesis on music production. This version of the song is objectively heavier because of the tuning and the style of riffage. Along with tempo shifts and production layering. Just because the subject is ignorant (not stupid) to what he is trying to describe does not mean the quality is not quantifiable. Look at it this way why is a band like cannibal corpse usually considered heavier than a band like Slayer?

You really listen to your subscribers. It’s really nice to see someone that cares about their viewers as much as you do. I was hoping that you would do this remake next and you did! It happens all the time. Thank you for sharing your opinions in such a subjective manner. It’s fascinating to see someone’s reaction to the songs I’ve been listening to for years when hearing them for the first time. All I can think about is how cool it is that the media we’ve been exposed to growing up is so different. How have you not heard any of these songs before?! It’s a true testament to the beauty of diversity within a shared culture. Thank you again. Your positivity is truly inspiring.

Pittsburgh by the Amity Affliction. The song is about how the lead singer almost died (something about an illness while they were on tour)

The lyrics from The Arms Of Sorrow remind me of what it's like to suffer from bad depression and putting on a fake persona so you look normal on the outside but are falling deeper into yourself & can't stop or see any way out. Very deep lyrics. Love this band.

They're both great :D Howard Jones was more melancholic and emotional, as was, ofc, the Band in his Era, while Jesse Leach is more "aggressive", in my perception :D thankfully Jesse's Cleans are awesome by now too, and for your Supply of Howard's Vox, "Light the Torch" still exist :D

I love the energy you bring to these reactions. I'm an oldschool metalhead, and watching you react to these songs is like hearing them again for the first time. If you wanna get into some other OG metal, check out some Motorhead, another band that's had a huge influence on anything and everything Metal. You will not be disappointed! Thanks for reading, and rock the fuck on!!! \m/ :)

So here's the thing. You grow up with a respect for Dio and everything he's done. You've listened to Holy Diver and it's a damn fine song. It's heavy, melodic, the vocals are bangin like the chick next door. Then 2006 rolls around, and KSE drops As Daylight Dies. You go to the store, buy the deluxe edition cause you saved your allowance for 3 months to buy it, you come back home, put it in your computer, rip it into iTunes, and you see Holy Diver. Now you listen to it. And all of a sudden everything makes sense. It's almost like you can see clearly now. A musical Epiphany, that this is the only band you've ever needed in your life.
    And thus, KSE.

You should do Hellyeah's cover of "I don't care anymore". It was put together using a guitar track that Dimebag Darrell recorded before he passed away. When someone in Hellyeah suggested that they cover it, Vinnie said that he and Dime had already recorded a cover of it that was never released. He then spent 3 weeks pulling the guitar track out of an obsolete computer program, so they could record it.

The original Holy Diver was done in the early 1980s before LA bands like Motley Crue were being signed to major labels. Killswitch Engage did a great cover of the song which would have made Ronnie James proud. Check out Hear N Aid *Stars* if you haven't already. There are great covers of that song too.

What I like about your journey into the realm of metal is all the viewers such as myself who jumped on the band wagon on your first metal reaction is watching you become a true metal head. You embraced the music from a non subjective view and have enjoyed it since the start. Glad to see it. What I'd like to see you dive into bands such as a perfect circle or deftones. A good start is Judith by a perfect circle and a hole in the earth by deftones. Keep up the great work. I look forward to the next video.

First of all, I love this channel. Watching how stoked you get on something that is so far out of your comfort zone is so fun to see. If you want a cool metalcore band with loads of groove and and feeling, check out As I Lay Dying - The Sound of Truth. They've encountered some controversy because of their singer but still one of the most solid metal bands of the last 15 years or so. I think you'll be into it!
