    As always, thank you so much! I have made so many beautiful things with your guidance. I like to mix stitches in my projects and I have grabbed several that you have so kindly shared and mixed and matched. I don't think we can tell you just how special you are even if you so patiently share one tip that we take with us as we crochet, you must know that we appreciate everything.

      Thanks so much. I will be making a blanket for my disabled son in purple and gold.. LSU colors.
      I had made him one by a ripple pattern years ago in browns and he asks for it every day.. He tells his wife to hand him his JULIA BLANKET, since my that’s my name.
      This is a much prettier pattern, and hopefully I can finish it for CHRISTMAS..

    Hi. I just found you and subscribed! My question is.....I want to make this for a much larger afghan...how much does this shrink down as you go due to the peaks and valleys? (I hope that made sense lol) You do beautiful work and I absolutely LOVE how you teach- very descriptive and slow enough so I can keep up! I can't read a crochet pattern to save my life, I have taught myself by watching videos 😊

RUclips taught me how to crochet (I'm a 100% visual learner, lol), and I'm still learning. You taught me a new stitch that I'm going to make a cowl with :) Thank you soooo much for showing this to us! HUGS xx

      @@mi-micanterbury2275 I couldn't tell you for sure - I can't find it anywhere. But, I use a yarn by Caron which is called Simply Soft & it is amazing with a nice sheen and softness to it. Maybe this is what she is using?

      @@mi-micanterbury2275 I am just starting to read patterns on my own. Mind you they are easy ones :) 95% of what I have made to date has been from RUclips tutorials. I have managed only a few projects from written patterns. Practice is all that I need. Have u watched any tutorials from the Crochet Crowd with Mikey? He helps explain written patterns as well as teaches. He is the one that has taught me the most here on RUclips xx

    I love this pattern so much... but I am having so much trouble with appropriate peaks and valleys... I have frogged it almost more than I've crocheted. I'm having trouble specifically with the peaks, after turning it. It feels like the peaks have too many stitches. I don't know why! So pretty but so frustrating... still, thank you. ☺💜

    This is the 1 row repeat: Ch3, DC in same st as your Ch3, 3 DC, ~DC2Tog x 2, 3 DC, DC inc x 2, 3 DC~. Repeat ~~ until last stitch. End row with 2DC in the last st.

    What if I’d like my chevrons large like 7 on each side how would I figure my pattern count. I don’t get that -a chevron plus ???

    • @Pixxelina
      @Pixxelina 5 месяцев назад

      For 7 peaks you would need to do 96 chains. So it would be four multiples for 12. To end your foundation row, make sure you add another 3 chains before turning.

      Michele Fearon chain multiples of 12. Add 3 chains at the end.
