    This one is a doozy. Definitely not a pattern you can relax with in the sense of keeping the stitch pattern going while watching TV haha. I have had to restart multiple times to get the "waves" to align. I am making a blanket for my son that's a surfer using Caron Big Cakes in a dark blue/light blue/sand color combination. I'm sure it will be beautiful when I finish it eventually😂

    I just came across this stitch a couple of days ago and I started a blanket I absolutely love this stitch it works up so easy so relaxing so quick what I've noticed on all the tutorials of the stitch no one shows anything about putting an edging on it what I'm going to do is do a single crochet border around it doing one single crochet in the smaller beginning rows and two single crochet in the rows beginning with the longer stitch then In the corners I'm going to do one single crochet chain one one single crochet I believe that will give the blanket A more finished look

    Liked and subbed from Newfoundland! I'm going to try this in a blanket for my brother! Relative newby here and left handed to boot! So far I'm better at adapting right hand videos than using left hand ones! This pattern seems like one a man wouldn't think is too frou-frou! I hope!

      If you are a newbie, teach yourself to crochet right handed. I’m left handed and watched RUclips tutorials to learn how to crochet right handed at age 69. So much easier in the end and there are so many right handed tutorials.

    • @laurelgirard8475
      @laurelgirard8475 2 года назад +2

      I would probably just do a sc border, rather than doing a fancier stitch which might be “busy”. Of course, using a darker contrasting color would be nice, as would one of the colors already used to keep it somewhat matching

    • @Bubbieof4
      @Bubbieof4 6 месяцев назад +2

      She said it's multiples of 14 and then add two stitches. For instance my blanket started with 182 chains + 2 = 184 chains all together to start ( 14 goes into 182 13 times plus two extra chains to start the pattern)

    I really like this pattern. I am making a pillow set for my daughter and she wants it reversible. One side is a skull pattern, she wanted a wave on the other side. I am thinking of doing it in black for the waves and white for the single crochet rows instead of alternating black and white waves. Do you think that it would look ok or should I add two rows of white single crochet between the black waves?
