    I've been using 2 strands (worsted weight) for the MC, work 3 or 4 rows, drop one strand of the MC and pick up one strand of the 2nd color (so one strand of the MC and one strand of the 2nd color) for two rows, drop the other strand of MC and pick up the 2nd strand of the 2nd color and work 3-4 rows, drop one strand of the 2nd color and pick up a strand of the 3rd color, 2 rows, etc etc. I think that would look gorgeous on this particular blanket pattern. It looks "painted" or "splashed" and it's a gradual color change... it's hard to explain, but it's very pretty. Thanks for the pattern! ❤

    I'm a new viewer to your channel. Love your video! Can you initially work the chain as one normally would or do you need to work the back bumps as you did? I am not a rookie crocheter but i can see myself messing that up somehow. Lol

    • @MumsyMakesCrochet
      @MumsyMakesCrochet  10 месяцев назад +1

      Hi! You can work into the chain however you find easiest. I prefer the back loops as when you’re doing a boarder after (if you decide to) then it makes it a bit easier to see the stitches 😊

    Looks pretty. I have a question? I have a whole lot of beige cotton yarn enough to make a bedspread. Do you have any easy airy-stich patterns that have holes in the design? I know it sounds like a strange request, but I like to use up the cotton yarn. Maybe a good project during winter months. Thank you ❤️

      It’s a modified blanket stitch. For the blanket stitch you do 1sc and 2 dc. But for this I changed it up so I’ve used hdc rather than dc 😊

    Hi Mumsy (love that name by the way) can you tell me the answer to a couple of questions please. How much will did you use of each colour for each size of project you had on your graph on your pattern? I am not used to crocheting and I don't know how much yarn to buy for each item on the list you wrote. By the way, thank you for the free pattern, it's beautiful! Also, thank you for the graph of each item with its size. I am planning to make the lap blanket with three colours but in greens and cream. I just don't know how much yarn to buy. Also do you have a discount code to get the yarn by any chance? God bless you and your family, especially your sister. Bonnie is a lovely suggestion for a name. I subscribed today as I really liked this video and your soft, gentle voice, and I must admit it's love!y to hear a fellow Brit on here too.
