    Thank you for the demonstration and for the pattern! I started making the afghan but have now realized that I've made the single crochet wrong all this time! 🤯

    thanks for speaking and working at a pace which is easy to understand and follow. I'm a relative beginner and often find that demos proceed too quickly or some assumption is made that the watcher knows some crochet. your demo was excellent :)

    Good tutorial though looking at the sample before video started I thought you were using 3 colours and that is what I was interested in. Although I would just need to alternate each main colour between the sc rows. Thanks

    Why would my project grow many inches in width? My stitch count is the same each row. I did opt for a 6mm hook to make it a little drapier feeling. My chain was where I wanted the length to be. After working a few rows, it has grown considerably in width!!! I will have to restart. Why did this happen? A half size up hook makes that big of a difference? Thank you!

    I’m curious-why do you cut your yarn after each row rather than just carry it up the side?

    Could you carry the color from Row 1 instead of cutting the yarn?

    • @sherit8594
      @sherit8594 5 лет назад

      Yes. It's easier to carry than to tie in all the ends.

    I love this pattern and today I bought the written version. However, in row 4 you write 'Rep from * to last 11 sts. That is not correct, that should be the last 13 sts because you end row 4 with 2 treble crochets (11+2). If 11 sts would be correct than the row ends with 2 dc's and 2 sts left over. Or am I wrong?

    So how many stitches will you have at the end of the row after the foundation? It should be 30, right?

    Thank you for this tutorial! It's a beautiful pattern. My problem is when I get to row 12, I have an extra stitch at the end. It's as if I have to make 3 treble crochet at the end instead of 2. Any suggestions? Thanks!

    • @bhookedcrochet
      @bhookedcrochet  7 лет назад

      It sounds like you've accidentally added a stitch somewhere. I'd go back through the entire row and double check that your counts are spot on. Pay close attention to the edges as this is the place that's easiest to add stitches :)

    If you want to use this as a scarf do you have any ideas on how to "hide" the wrong side?

    • @bhookedcrochet
      @bhookedcrochet  9 лет назад +2

      That's a good question! I think if it were me, I would turn it into a cowl so the wrong side is always up against your neck.

    • @patrickhodson8715
      @patrickhodson8715 8 лет назад +2

      LindaHansen1980 you could join the two edges of the scarf, making it into a long tube with the wrong side on the inside.

    Hi! Thanks so much for your wonderful tutorials!
    If I use one color (variegated), does anything change? I started with a chain of 142, but it doesn't seem to be working out.
    HELP!
    Thanks!

    Did you finish the wavelength Afghan tutorials?

    • @bhookedcrochet
      @bhookedcrochet  8 лет назад +1

      You can find the Wavelength afghan pattern here: www.bhookedcrochet.com/2015/10/08/wavelength-afghan/
      The stitch technique for the afghan is the same as this tutorial so there will not be a separate video to demonstrate this pattern.

    I don't understand how you arent losing stitches at the start of the ch3 rows. If you go into the next stitch instead of the one with the chain why don't you lose a stitch???

    • @jennysmith80
      @jennysmith80 3 года назад

      The chain 3 is counted as the first stitch in that row.

    Such a bummer.. By eliminating the turning chain to change colors. Be easier to understand if color was added into turning chain and you kept count. the ends aren't lined up & the count IS? Sigh...By NOT keeping count in second row especially with the I'd way of color change ..SIGH :-\ COMPLETELY LOST. rather not know of I'm in the right count (right holes) until end of work. Oh well ty
