Great stitch! I’m thinking of using this pattern with variegated DK yarn to make a baby blanket that has a solid crocheted border. Can one start this with a row of single foundation crochet? I find the foundation crochet start provides a more consistent tension than a chain+first row start- and then the tops and bottoms of my rectangles match.
i LOVE that design. i think it would be a beautiful sweater , scarf or poncho/ serape . i wanted to make my muff, gloves and cap in a crocheted cable but i may have changed my mind. thanks

I don't have a specific border for it. Most any type of border will work on it though, since it has relatively straight edges on all sides.

It feels like a normal yarn. No fiber content on the label. Bit on the soft side, maybe a cotton blend? Not a t-shirt type.
