  • The Almond Stitch is a beautifully textured stitch featuring delicate ridges. It is an easy stitch to work! I am loving this stitch at the moment! The design is a four row repeat but it is easy to remember. It is made up of slip stitches and half double crochet stitches that are worked in the back loops only.

I love this. It varies from the instructions in the book 200 crochet stitches but it's nice to have variety. Easy to follow and am planning on making an afghan using this pattern. Thanks, Sarah.

Beautiful stitch! I'm about halfway through your Erie Waters throw and I'm having the best time learning all these textured stitches, they give me so many ideas, I would really love to make a sweater with the bobble stitch (block #3), it's so lovely! I'm using Yarn Bee Soft Secret from Hobby Lobby and the squares are coming out so cuddly my grandson keeps running off with them, lol. Thank you for sharing these wonderful textured stitches.

A very pretty stitch. Thanks for your very helpful instructions. What kind of hook do you use? It seems to never catch or split your yarn.

Beautiful! QUESTION: when doing a textured stitch, is it better to use a solid color? Is it too busy on the eyes to use textured AND let's say variegated tarn?

    Hello,
What a lovely stitch! I wonder if you have a written version of this pattern. That would be great. I use both the video and the written form to learn and internalize the patterns. Thanks in advance.

In the almond stitch do I always start in the second loop when turning the chain?
