The 1st stitch I learned to make. I’ll never forget how satisfying and proud I was to make such a beautiful stitch ❣️It’s been over 3 years now, I know a hecka lots more stitches, but the Suzette stitch will always be the one…..the most beautiful…my very favorite of all ❣️❣️🫶🏼✌🏼🙏💋🥰🥹
I love this stitch! No pattern to follow, easy to keep up with. I've made a scarf and headband set with it so far and am currently working on some dishcloths!
Whenever I’m looking for instructions on a stitch I want to learn I search your videos first! I love how you teach and especially how you explain the stitch multiples for, additional sizes! You are my go to! Thanks for all you do
I love this stitch I made two baby blanket . This stitch is so simple and pretty I made two baby blanket for my sister grand baby and her friend and they loved it . It’s not a fast stitch but it’s a easy stitch that you don’t have to do a lot of focus on just watch a movie and go to town on it and be finished in no time 💜
I bought some Bernat Home Bundle (black, white, & gray) yarn and wanted too make my son an Afghan for his place! I was looking through your stitches and saw this one! It’s perfect 😊 it’s really coming along nice! Thank you. You’re my go too when I need a certain crochet stitch
Exactly what I was looking for! Beautiful results and can be accomplished quickly. I’ll be using this stitch for a Christmas blanket that I’m making for my son and his fiancé. Thanks much!!!!1
This is great! Thank you so much. I'm a newbie. Finished my first scarf ☺. Found a sweater pattern and it called for this stich. Now to figure out what color yarn to choose 🤔 ✌+❤
I'm a beginner and this seems like just my level. I'm making a dish cloth with it now and when the yarn comes in I'll start a new baby blanket for a shower in May. Thank You for this video.
I've discovered an added bonus to this clever stitch. It's perfect for gloves and pieces that need to fit snugly but give in all directions. There is no direction that has no give at all like so many crochet stitches. Just beautiful in any size yarn too-- size 4 / E with Knit Picks "Chroma' fingering is lacy, supple and still dense enough for dainty Victorian gloves and earwarming headband. Highly recommend this versatile stitch.
Thank you for this info, I am looking for a stitch to make some arm warmers for the office, I have trouble with my hands getting cold and since I type all days this makes it really hard to work! Arm warmers that I can make come up onto the back of my hand, but just make a single chain that goes between my thumb and palm makes it easier to type, so I am picky about my hand warmers. Sufficient stretch in the finished product is hugely required, so the stitch must have four way stretch! Thank you for the info!
Thank you for sharing this tutorial. I will surely love to do my projects using this stitch. This channel is very informative. I'm looking forward to more tutorials to be posted and shared here.
so glad I found this started a project put it down for a week and could not recall exactly how I had finished or started the rows and could not quite figure it by looking due to they yarn this is definitely the pattern I was doing next time make a note to self take a record of the name of the st in future.😂😂
This is a simple and beautiful pattern. I don't like the uneven side edges so would need to add a border. I would make a blanket using this pattern. Since it is only a one row repeat, it would be perfect to work on while watching TV. Thanks for all your great tutorials.
I didn’t know this stitch has a name but I’ve made several blankets using it. It’s one of the most beautiful stitches I’ve seen. I also just found your channel. Followed the link for this stitch from Pinterest.😊
You are a fabulous instructor. Thank you so much. Can you show more multi-color crochet stitches? And also detailed troubleshooting on the harlequin / wheel techniques? I try to do it loose but it always seems to tight after a few rows. Maybe I should go up a hook size for these stitches. Thanks again!
I am making this stitch with Caron Painterly Cakes and love its texture for baby blankets. I am a slow crocheter so is taking me awhile but am on my second ball (8oz ball) will use 3 all together.
hello, just wanted to say, that you made a great tutorial. Your voice is clear and easy to understand and the visuals are good, too. You might just want to turn down the volume of the in- and outtro jingle a bit. I turned the volume down and then up again to understand you and then down again, when the outtro started to play.
This is so gorgeous ! Thank you Suzanne for sharing this beautiful crochet tutorial ! I just start to learn how to crochet and your beautifuls tutorials are so helpful ! 😊💗
In the beginning, when she is chaining to begin, does anyone find the sound of the yarn and the hook soothing? I do. I also love the sound of ballet shoes when they dance. Just a random thought at 2:25a.m. and I have covid and insomnia. Thanks for this video.
Love the stitch and your tutorial. Any idea how I can calculate the amount of yarn needed for a 60x70 blanket with this stitch? I am thinking of using Lion brand bulky. Thanks
I most likely use this stitch for a blanket. Like that it’s reversible and the one row repeat is nice so I don’t have to concentrate and can watch videos.
Your stitches areBEAUTIFUL, but I believe the "thumbs down" is coming from the stitch count. I've tried your instructions to the "T", and have to unravel and keep trying. It's not adding up, but I will continue to try, because it's worth it. Can you please review the stitch count in your videos, and make sure the issue is with your audience, and not some oversight on your part? I really want to crochet this stitch. Thank you so much!
The easiest method I've found to ensure I follow the pattern mostly correctly is to count the stitches whenever I feel uncertain as to how many more sc dc or just sc stitches the piece needs to match the starting chain count. Then I'm at least not accidentally adding or subtracting any stitches for the project. It is a very pretty pattern and so easy to repeat... with the exception of the stitch count. 😅🙂
Possibly doing this for gift to my sister. Dish towel in Hobby Lobby cotton, size 14" x 24".....I'm doing a different stitch in each towel..(x 9)...kinda difficult! Her request..I've NEVER DONE ....difficult to keep original measurement of base chain..
Sub here. Appreciate all your comprehensive videos. Q: how do I implement an increase or decrease with this Suzette stitch? Currently crocheting a skirt.
Can we make a man blanket with this. If yes what size would be good for someone who is 5'8" in height. How much worsted weight 4 aran yarn will be required. Thank you
I would like to use for cuffs on a special shrug I’m making that uses the “”X &zero” - “kisses 😘 and hugs 🤗 “ I think this suzet stitch would enhance my shrug ❣️ do you think?
I did not finish my initial note. I will continue.... skipping the 1st ch gives you 20 sts to work. I understand sc dc every other st. However at the end of the row, you won’t have a ch to sk before making sc in last st. After last sc dc next st is sc at end of row. Okay that’s good. Now 2nd row.... sc dc in 1st st, sk next st then sc dc in next st. You repeat this until end of row but after last sc dc on row 2 there are two sts left so, do you sk one st then in the last st put sc? Please clarify. I have rewatched your video here and you don’t complete row 2 to see how you end the row. I have also read your written pattern and it’s unclear to me the ending of row 2. So am I understanding this correctly, at the end of row 1, a sc is put in last st but there is no skipped st between it and the last sc dc combination then row 2 at the end of the row there are two stitches left so you sk 1 then put sc dc in last st? Please help me here. Thank you in advance for your help.
It confused me too. I have seen other video where and even number of stitches were used to start, then sc/dc at each end, always into the second stitch. This video gave me ends that are not quite straight, and more scalloped.
Who doesn’t love a stunning one row repeat pattern? I love the color story of the yarn.

Love this stitch! So pretty but so easy and looks like we've done a complicated stitch. Making a wide scarf right now.
So hard to believe that people actually give a thumbs down! Crazy! Your stitches are beautiful!
I agree! She is a very good instructor.
Someone has given a thumbs down???? That's ludicricous. It's such a good video.
I agree she has a voice that catches your ear and she does excellent tutorials everytime ...

I was expecting something complicated by the look of it...and then BAM a single row repeat with just sc and dbl crochet...beautiful.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! What a beautiful and easy stitch! Thank you from 🇨🇦

Super easy stitch and explained perfectly in this video. Thanks for the tutorial! I made matching headbands for my daughter and myself!

It would make a great blanket!
The blanket stitch is almost like this stitch you just add one more double crochet or one mow half double and you will have perfect edges .
Working on a scarf out of Lion Scarfie… it’s just beautiful in this stitch. Thanks for the help
Very pretty stitch! It’s so simple to make and looks beautiful! Thanks for sharing!

What a beautiful stitch!!! It’s a must try!!!

Can you increase and decrease with this stitch? I would like to use it to make a triangle shape scarf.

Im going to use thus pattern for a childs prayer shawl
That's a very pretty stitch 💘
Just finishing a pocket shawl with this stitch. What stitch should I use for the border? More suzette?
Beautiful! How close is this to the Grit stitch? Looks almost identical to me. Thanks for all you do!
Cheryl, that is exactly what I thought!
Such a beautiful stitch!

I'm doing a similar stitch on a blanket I'm working on. It's sc and hdc in the same stitch, skip 1, repeat. Is that also called the Suzette stitch?

Can't wait to start my hat and scarf. 👍
Thank you! I LIKE THIS PATTERN VERY MUCH.
Great and simple stitch.
Suzette is my fav for squishy scarves and dense, textured kitchen, bath items.
Oh yes!
May i use this Stich also on Charisma yarn 5 ?
Great channel! love it! Thanks.
You make this look easy enough for a beginner like me 🥰 what kind of hook do you use? It looks smooth
THAT'S A MASTER PIECE WELL DUN ❤🎉❤
GREAT BRITAIN 😂
Is this pattern stiff enough to make a small basket?
