Thank you so much for your tutorials!!! I’m glad I found your channel!! Your instructions are perfect for me , you are clear and slow enough for me to follow. I can’t wait to try this stitch and your popcorn stitch. I’m going to make crossover purses with zippers using these two stitches!! Again you have a talent for teaching thank you for taking the time to share!

This is again beautiful stitch, it looks dense, suitable for a tank top or a tunic dress, without having to wear a slip underneath.

I agree. The loose weave mandates that undergarment which is just another layer I can do without (at this "warm" stage of my life).

This creates such a pretty fabric and texture. I could see this made into a full pullover, or a cardigan. Easy answer would be a cowl or scarf, oh, maybe mittens with a matching hat or ear warmer? And of course if you made it out of cotton, a nice summer tote, maybe even a tank top, wash cloths or dish cloths, hot pads for sure, dish towels or hand towels. Maybe a bowl cozy? Soup bowls? Or in my son's case, oatmeal or him cooking frozen corn as a snack. I guess it's better than chips or sweets right? Lol

So I’m doing the spikes sedge stitch absolutely love it. My yarn requires a 5 mm crochet hook. As I was doing it, I felt like it was like a rug. So I went up to a 6 mm hook and I’m still feeling like it’s a rug or like a tapestry runner. I’ve done the regular sedge ditch before, and never felt like it was like this. Could it be the type of yarn? I’m using Basic Stitch, anti-pilling Lion Brand yarn.

Hello. Could you please help me? I have tried this several times and every time, my edges are not straight. I end up with a parallelogram and have to start over. Im doing it exactly the way you describe. 😓 sometimes it looks like the end with the tail is straight and just the other end slants out out, but as i work further, they both slant into the parallelogram. I’m at a loss. Thank you.
