Think I'm going to do a square of each of your stitch tutorials and then sew them together for a blanket. Thank you so much for sharing your talent and time with everyone!
I love when the stitch/pattern used is mostly solid with no open holes. It still amazes me how yarn, basically a string can be made into fabric with a hook & creativity. Thank you Crystal for always expanding my crochet universe. Crystal I had to laugh when your pup barked & you said, "sorry, he's got problems". I thought you bark away puppy, I get it, we've all got problems sometimes. Sending hugs to all of your fur babies. 🩷🤗
I’m really into crocheting rugs and bath mats right now and this stitch would make a fantastic bath mat in cotton. Thank you for sharing this one right now, it’s perfect timing for me!
I’ve been using up my stash, so for a bedside rug I used an out of production bulky roving style yarn and single crochet and it came out gorgeous! Then there’s the Bernat Maker yarn that I bought to make throw pillows for patio furniture but never did. Three skeins made an oval rug that’s larger than a doormat but smaller than an area rug. I think it will be perfect for in front of the outdoor couch. Any yarn will work so long as you use carpet tape on the corners to prevent kick up. Since all the yarn is from my stash, it was paid for long ago and is practically free! My next project will use mismatched single skeins of yarn held together to make it thicker for a soft rug for under my desk where the colors won’t matter.
Hi Crystal. Here we are again. I'm watching another great tutorial of yours. You AMAZE ME with your knowledge . It's nice to be able to have an extensive library. Love you and your work. I hope you don't think I'm a stalker, I just absolutely love your work. You have taught me so much, and I am grateful . Hugs Donna 💜💜💜💜💜
Thanks for another easy to follow tutorial. I really appreciate when you name the count differences between the initial chain and the actual stitch pattern count.
You said it - the compressed sc makes a nice fabric for a blouse or a sweater - depending on the season and the yarn. Very nice! And I'm glad to have a name for an old reliable stitch!
Another stitch on the list for my 2025 temperature blanket -- I want to do a stitch a month. Want lots of texture but use smaller height stitches because it will get so large. This is so attractive -- and easy!! Thank you
I made a t-shirt this past summer and had no idea that this was the name of this stitch. It does work up so quick and makes a beautiful product. Thanks Crystal now I know what the name of it is. Hope you’re having a great day.❤
Great little stitch!! Tons of uses for sure!! I can whip out a new scarf and beanie as well for myself while it's snowing tomorrow here!! Yep Fickle February in Texas! Many Thanks Crystal, always❣️ Cracked up on the "George" comment!! You ought to hear my Manx & mini Aussie after dinner every night faking "Mortal Kombat"!!! 🙄😂
You've got me working! 😂 i just finished watching this video. I think this stitch will make a nice baby blanket. It will have to wait until i finish the last blanket video. Thanks, Crystal 🧶💚
I like it kinda looks like a stitch I made for mans scarf awhile ago you explained things really well it was nice tuning in. Will again, and I'm a lefty
Beautiful...just like you Crystal. I buy the yarn...awesome pretty yarn. I watch Crystal make the most amazing fabulous wonderful things It is not easy 😂❤❤😊
Hi Crystal! This is a pretty stitch and I love how it will work up quickly. It would make a pretty cowl as you said. Was that Georgie barking? lol Have a great weekend! God bless you!
With the stitch being so dense is the end product soft? I want to make a blanket for a friend but can’t decide what stitch to do other than I want it to look the same back and front and be extra soft and comfy. Any suggestions please?

What kind of material do you use for your rugs?
