0:12 My buddy Carol wanted to learn how to crochet and was going to start with a very complex amigarumi for her nephew. I talked her into starting with a baby blanket. We chose this pattern. She had zero experience, and she loved this tutorial. Her blanket turned out stunning! I just showed her the basics, and then she followed this tutorial. She used the darker green Caron Simply Soft, which is the most gorgeous shade of green. You're absolutely right when you say beginners can easily follow your tutorials! Thanks for this beautiful pattern and for being so accessible!
I am in the process of making an afghan using this stitch and the ombre yarn in 'scuba' which is an aquamarine color. Shh though it is a Christmas present for my sister. Already finished one using the thicket stitch for another sister. Haven't decided what stitch to use on the third afghan I am planning for a different sister. As you may have guessed, crochet relaxes me and I truly enjoy the creative process. So glad I found your channel Crystal!
Me too
Yes…….
It relaxes me too! I love crocheting and the creative process as well! Soooo satisfying to see the wip finished and see what we have created!

I’ve never seen the Thicket stitch 🤔
Gorgeous, so simple yet so pretty - and another sampler for your little girl's blanket-to-be! I cannot get over how adorable her yarn stash is.😍
Beautiful stitch! One more swatch for Rose to add to her collection! She's going to have a very eclectic blanket. Thanks Crystal!
@@loisharach3612 Her daughter.
@@loisharach3612 It is Evelyn Rose.
This was my favorite stitch until I learned corner to corner. The blankets I made in this stitch are so warm. I just wanted to tell you that I love your videos. Anything I have tried from your tutorials are always perfect. I have done quite a few of them now. I watch a bunch of crocheters on RUclips but you are hands down my favorite. Thanx for doing what you do.
I got to row 3 after the chain three, I got lost. Tried to SC into the "next stitch" but couldn't find what would be the next stitch. I'll try again with yarn a lighter colored yard. .. but I am thinking of making a border with just rows 1 and 2 and putting it around a blanket I've been working on for *months* that I just realized yesterday I am missing a few stitches in the middle and I don't want to frog 90 some rows .
This is so pretty, I was just doing a practice swatch. But I won't give up. Well for now I will... but I'll come back and try again. Thanks Crystal, I have learned so much from you!
I am making a new bed spread for my new bed when I move to Alaska the 16th of this month I love this stitch & have been using it for years

Just the pattern I was looking for; I'm making a cotton top out of Caron Cotton cakes in the Driftwood color, such a pretty stitch, already on row 4 now and it's looking beautiful! :)
That’s pretty. Knows Rose has another square for her Blanked she going to sew together 😊
I love it!!! I just bought this yarn, exact color, for first time so I am ready :)

This is such a sweet pattern. I plan to make a top for my 16 year old granddaughter who loves crochet and I think I'll make a baby blanket or two. So versatile and pretty. The ombre looks great. I have some ombre I'm going to use for the top.
Thank you so much Crystal. I have been trying to learn how to do this for many years. You are a great teacher! Sending love and light your way ❤️💫Sharon!
Beautiful stitch!!!
I love throws and lapghans. Such a pretty stitch ❤️🧶
So beautiful ! I love the color and the stitch. I ordered some ice yarn that I saw you use in one of your stitch tutorials - the tulip stitch. I think I will use that yarn with this stitch to make a car seat blanket for my grand daughter. Thank you so very much Crystal. I just can’t thank you enough . You have made a crocheter out of me and I love it. Sending my appreciation from upstate NY. Liz B
Very nice , think I will try a scarf
Beautiful stitch Crystal!! Thanks for another great tutorial!! ❤️🥰❤️
One more to my list of the beautiful projects you teach us. Will make a shawl with this stitch as a Christmas gift for my family. Thanks Crystal
Hello BOD Family!! Wow, I love this so much!❤️❤️❤️❤️
Seems super fun. I'm gonna try it I think...
Love this stitch.
I love everything about crotchet, I always use a stitch marker to identify my beginning row, therefore I know since Im right handed it will always be on my right, and my stitches go towards my left if this helps in anyway, thanks for sharing, love your work
Started a scarf.....🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽
Really like this one ✌️❤️😊🧶🧶
Very pretty.
Absolutely gorgeous. I think I will make a baby blanket using this stitch. Thanks Crystal.
I have to try this. I have a large skein of pink baby yarn and 2 great granddaughters. I've done the shell stitch before without the chaining but not like this so I am excited to try your way. ☺️ Your tutorials are amazingly presented. I watch them daily. Really missed this when I was gone.
Beautiful stich!...And a beautiful addition for Rose's blanket! 😊🌹
As soon as I saw this, I knew I needed to make something with this stitch and I knew exactly what yarn I'd use too....lion brand landscapes! I'm about 12 rows in on a scarf and it's beautiful! It took me probably 10 rows before I memorized the repeat but I'm pretty sure I've got it down. The stitch definition with this yarn is eye popping. Thank you Crystal for the tutorial. I love it!
Beautiful would make a beautiful blanket
I love the shell stitch. This is a gorgeous pattern.

I made my first blanket out of that same yarn for my cousin. She loved it. Not to bad for my first big project. Wish I still had the picture it was with one of your tutorials.
Shell stitches are so pretty. Thanks for sharing Crystal!
Crystal this is one of my favorite stitches! I love using this stitch on a bag that I have a pattern for. It always turns out fabulous. I love this.
So pretty with this stitch..love to make something out of thus stitch. Unsure what at the moment.
I'm making a bralette and I wanted the shells to be at the bottoms part of the cups (the under bust part) and im making the rows black and white. so thank you for this tutorial I really needed it
Whoa!! I've done the closed shell stitch for years and have never seen it done this way before. I love the texture it makes. Mine don't have that. 😕 I'm going to try this "new" variation next time. Thanks, Crystal 💜💜
Another beautiful stitch, I think I will make a rectangle wrap with it. 🥰
Thanks so much for sharing! Have a good night!!!
I have always loved the shell stitch. I’ve made many baby blankets using it. 💜🙏🏻
So pretty 😍
I started a wrap using this stitch. It's beautiful. I am using baby alpaca fine yarn and I am using 2 strands. It looks spectacular. I can't wait to finish and cool weather to come.
Beautiful stitch definitely one of next afghans.
