Just tried a sample, it's absolutely easy and beautiful. I suggest to everyone to make the initial chain loose. Thanks Crystal for another gorgeous stitch
I’m so thankful for you! You’ve helped me tremendously in my crochet skills! I’m 54 and my gran taught me to crochet at age 4…. Just very, very basic simple projects obviously…. but by age 8, I was pretty good!! I went on to play the Clarinet for all 12 years of school and I’ve no doubt that my crochet “hand” skills helped me with my instrument… I’ve Wonderful memories of Gran sitting next to me on the couch, the wood stove burning next to me…. Watching HeeHaw on TV, followed by mutual Of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom and we always had our hooks in hand…. Now, at 54, my precious gran is gone…I am now grans age, when I was born…. And we have our first grandbaby due at the end of July…. Now it’s my turn to be a wonderful gran!! I am beside myself with excitement!! All the babies blankets have been made by following your tutorials!! I’ve 3 so far!! I’m also going to make my daughter a very large heirloom style blanket (in your favorite Victorian style) for her special gift from me!! So thank you again for all your wonderful videos!! Love, from Oregon 🌲🌲❤~Trina~
That is so sweet. I am 72 & been crocheting 3months. I wish I was younger starting learning. I know 3 stitching. Thanks for sharing your knowledge of crocheting.
Absolutely a beautiful story about you and your Gran. I too had a very special relationship with my Grams. We even took care of her in her 90+ yrs she lived. She was almost 94 when she past and I remember the pies we would bake together. I remember being quite young and was eating a bowl of grapes and said " Hey Gram, is there such a thing as green grape pie?" She said,"I've never heard of one, but we can make one for you" I've told this story to many 😆 I really enjoyed your story as well♡ Congratulations on being a Gran yourself. We have 2 now. 6 and 4. 1 boy 1 girl:) Tons of fun!
Every time I see one of these amazing tutorials that is the same on both sides I grab my cotton yarn and make a dishcloth. I’m halfway through a dishcloth using Easter colors and it looks amazing. The pattern is so easy to memorize. Thanks for another winner, Crystal! 🥰
Crystal, I just want you to know you're an awesome teacher. You make me believe that I can create something beautiful like you do. Thank you so much for this!
You are seriously the best. Your tutorials never leave us guessing and wonderfully easy to follow. Only been crocheting for a month or so, and you have been the inspiration!🎉🎉
Hi Crystal, I would like to THANK YOU for having such a beautiful way of teaching us how to crochet "ANYTHING" & "EVERYTHING" with such ease and confidence...♥️
Thank you for putting this in your "what I made this week video" - I was never alerted to this video & it's immediately gone into my BOD: "Definitely Make This" folder! (after I watched the video 3x ;)
I like this stitch. I looks like consecutive waves coming in to shore after a ship has passed. This would make a great winter outdoor cardigan, but first I have to finish my large mixed cluster cardigan for autumn, but first I want to make some summer tops, but first... I guess that's where all the WIPs come from!
I am sure you get tired of going slow and repeating for us beginners. I am sure glad you do and you are such a great teacher. I have learned soo much from you. Thanks!!
Beautiful and easy, thank you. I am making an afghan with it using a bulky 5 yarn(gemstone yarn). Not sure of the hook size yet, will have to experiment with the look.
Hi Crystal. I was taught when I first started crochet that if you know the basics you can get do anything. And you prove it every time with your tutorials.
Yay! I just ordered several cottons to see which I would like best for kitchen towels and wash cloths. This will definitely be one of the stitches I use. Thanks!
Did you end up making them? I just ran across this video and i was looking thru her endless selection and the 1st thing i thought of was bath or kitchen mats with cotton yarn
Until I found you I was limited to basically making blankets now thanks to you I have gotten more confident. You are so easy to follow and so encouraging so thank you. Love this pattern and will use it to make a shawl/poncho.
Thank you so much for all your tutorials! You explain everything so well and with such enthusiasm!! I’m going to make this afghan with Mandala Ombré in the color Balance for my mother-in-law for her 100th birthday. And yes it is “gooogeous!”
WOW happy centennial birthday to your mother-in-law! My mom is my best friend and as my parents are aging into their mid and late 70s I’ve started having these feelings about them getting older and one day not being around (might sound dumb but I don’t have many people in my life, am physically disabled and in chronic pain) I can only pray my mom is around that long or somewhere near that.
Oh this is an awesome stitch pattern. It flows along so beautifully. Really enjoying this one. Thanks for such a wonderfully clear and helpful clip. Now I'm hanging out to get onto the next fabulous fantastic project with this very cool stitch. Absolutely love it. You're awesome. Cheers from Western Australia. ✌🏻🩷🌷🌿
You're so close to your one million subscribers. Looking forward to seeing you reach that mark. Thank you for all of your videos. You have helped me tremendously on my journey of crocheting.
Just beautiful. If I can wait, I'm gonna start this after I finish BOD butterfly doily. Crystal, you truly have the best variety of tutorials. I want to try them all. You are a fantastic teacher. ❤

Yes yes yes going to use two different ocean colors for every other row for blanket for great nephew!!!! Five total blankets all from your tutorials!!!! This is a great stitch pattern!!!!Thanks again girl!!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊Hug them Pups for me!!!
I have used so many of your patterns for my Afghan in a chunky white bernat yarn that was given to me I don’t usually use a chunky yarn when doing any projects, started this project as a library of your patterns, I decided to make it very large to fit my queen size bed…never make projects for myself as I have 7 granddaughters 1 grandson and a set of great granddaughters that are twins so it keeps me very busy. Anything I start to make for myself if they’re visiting, they want it. All granddaughters are in their 20s as well as the lonely one grandson great granddaughters five months old. I’m a very busy lady thank you for all your patterns. I will post something on your Instagram account once I am done my third ball…🧶🇨🇦🩵🦋
Fantastic , get out of my head lol I was looking for a delicate wave pattern for a ombre yarn so it looks almost like water...love it❤ ty ty ty you are one of the best
So far I have made two baby blankets with this stitch. My friends and family love this pattern. My next blanket will be for an adult. Thank you, Crystal. Your tutorials have been such a great help for me.
Here she is!!! Crystal, the “Queen” of tutorials!!!!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Just tried a sample, it's absolutely easy and beautiful. I suggest to everyone to make the initial chain loose. Thanks Crystal for another gorgeous stitch
I totally agree... or, if you find it hard to "chain loosely", you can use a larger crochet hook for ONLY the beginning chain.
As a beginner this is why I read comments. Thank you! 🙏🏻🧶
I learned that the hard way. I had to take mine a part 3 times before I got the correct tension.
I’m so thankful for you! You’ve helped me tremendously in my crochet skills!
