I really like this stitch. I will probably use it as a garment stitch. I like the simplicity of the pattern / repeats and tight weave. Also thanks for the tip about working into the chain 1 at the ends of your rows, I hadn’t thought of that!

This morning, I finished making a six-foot long infinity scarf with your Single Crochet puff stitch! I used the Red Heart Granny Square yarn in “Moody Cherry.” (Black, Red, Gold, Maroon, and Blue.) I imagined the puffs were sapphires, rubies, carnelians, obsidian, and citrine gemstones. I love to stroke this scarf because of the way my fingers move over the puffs. It is such a sensory delight.

I’m using this stitch on a pullover sweater my granddaughter wants. The pattern she chose from Premier was called a ‘crinkle rib’ and the yarn Serenity Candy and I was having no success with it! The yarn is sooooo busy I couldn’t keep track of my stitches and ripped out so many times it was dreadful! This stitch resembles it a lot and is much easier to do! I’m probably going to need a couple more skeins of yarn but don’t think if the die lot is different it really won’t matter too much. Busy busy mix of colors! Thank you for the timely introduction of this stitch! I love it.
