You’re not just the best teacher, you have the most soothing hypnotic voice. I had to make myself pay attention because I was starting to be lulled into sleepiness!
My grandmother taught me how to do some basic crochet when I was 11 or 12; your voice reminds me of her. It is so soothing to listen to your instructions, & your work is exceptional! Thank you
I just made my very first baby blanket for my very first grandchild, I am so glad I found this tutorial. I thought my blanket was too plain and now it is super super cute thanks to you!!!!!!
Thank you for your very clear instructions. I did a C2C baby blanket but it looked unfinished and now has been vastly improved by the addition of a lovely shell border.
Hi, thank you for your video. I have been looking to make a baby blanket for my neice and I finally have found it. I think she will love it if I can crochet as well as you teach it. It's so beautiful. It's her first baby and the first one for the whole family so everyone is so excited. Thank you so much❤....
I have subbed. Thank you for close u with camera and going slow enough that I could understand. May your New Year be a blessed and safe one from America❤. P.S My name is Robin and I am a grand ma of 3😂
you are an amazing, patient teacher. You go the right pace , especially for a beginner.....I love this border- very easy- would it work with a blanket that has a side that went in for a couple of rows (uneven?)
Thank you so much😊 I have searched a lot for such tutorial❤ my name is demyana from Egypt... The reason I searched for this video... is that I am doing it as a book cover for my Bible ❤🎉 😊 but as I am a beginner... I am still struggling😢 with where I put my border... I started it with: - two rows of double crochet - star stitch row (changing colour every star stitch row) - two rows of slip stitches (same colour the whole work)❤ I'm struggling with - marking the places where I am going to put the border of double crochets - marking the place where I change colour every row I mess up doing the beginning and ending of all rows 😢 Can you please make a tutorial for it 😮 if it is akay with you 😊 but please use stitch markers at the beginning and ending of every row 😅 as I am totally blind 😂 that I use theses markers later for the border 😊❤ Thanks for your time
Hello Demyana, I am working out a way to edge the book cover without a row of sc so far it is looking easier to do. Hopefully I will have a tutorial ready in a week or so. Best wishes Susan
@@demyjc3400 Hello again. I have had another look at the stitches you have used and have tried working up a sample but am not sure if it is correct. If you email me a picture of your work I will have another try tiaralacecrochet@gmail.com
If I'm doing single crochets for my blanket would I still chain 2 at the corners or would I chain 1? Im sorry if this is a stupid question, but I'm just worried I will mess up.....
You may be able to do 7 hdc in the corner if you ch1 instead of 2. Have a try and see what you think. I know we would usually put sc, ch1, sc in a corner.
American crochet terminology makes more sense to me. I am also aiming to cater to a wider audience. Perhaps crochet terminology will continue to evolve. I have many old patterns and the terminology can be quite confusing. I love to simplify things where I can. I would be more than happy to do separate videos using UK terminology /US terminology or simply explain both...that might be better. Let me know. Thank you Best wishes Susan x
@@TiaraLaceCrochet Thanks for the reply - I find UK terminology more logical - two passes of the hook = double etc, but I'm quite easily able to 'translate' now.... I don't think it's really worth doing separate videos now, we maybe just have to accept being overtaken, as in language and spelling - it's just a bit sad! The patterns are still lovely anyway.

Only a trained eye could see the slip stitches. I am a beginner crochet and this border looks simple enough for me to complete a blanket I just made
❤❤
This helped me finish my first blanket that me and my little one are snuggled up under right now. Thank you.

OMG thank you so much. ☺️ You saved my project I was working on, you are so sweet. 🥹

Очень красиво! СПАСИБО !
THANKYOU
thanks ❤
Lovely work! I would like to try that yarn. Are you using the cream with pink? Or are you using the beige. So hard to tell online thank you
Thank you. It is the cream yarn 😊
Do you have a suggestion for a plain boarder for this star blanket ?
Hello Denise, here is a link to a really easy border that should look lovely : ruclips.net/video/Uaha6m4oZl4/видео.html. 😊
Hi I have done a hexagon blanket and now I want to do a border maybe I'm being stupid but can I do this boarder. Thank you. 🎉
It really is personal choice. I am sure it would look lovely and work well if you have finished your hexagon blanket with straight edges.

So are you saying I could do it ether way? If so what way do you think is easiest? as I started crocheting last week,
It is easier to work 7 hdc into a 2ch space 😊
@@Fern_wolf_paw yes you czn do either
@@TiaraLaceCrochet k thank you so much
PS what beautiful yarn. What is the brand?
It is DIVANTE pink Glitter Yarn. Thank you 😊
Can u do more than 1 row of single n then do the rest
Yes. I love a sc border with more rows. This edging will still look lovely.
can i work a single crochet instead of the slip? -
Yes you can but there will be less of a dip between the shells, it all depends on the look you want.
❤️❤️❤️
Please post star stitch

Can i ask why you use American terminology? When I hear a UK accent I hope for UK terminology - have we just given up on it altogether?

@@sandik100 what a ridiculous criticism of a very straightforward border lesson.
Totally confused 😮
