Están basados en las pocas fotos que se obtuvieron del prototipo original, pero supongo que varias partes si son inventadas xD
All the stages and sprites are indeed based, if not exactly are the ones that were revealed during the 2020 gigaleak. Many unused sprites and level/map layouts were found. You can see it by going on The Cutting Room Floor

Mario looks better in this version but Yoshi looks very weird, the things that bothered me in the final version are that the SMB3 like the Tanooki suit are removed
