Mark I hope you see this and I have been a supporter of your channel for a long time. I mean this in no aggressive or cynical way. I think your analysis on Garnacho is sometimes flawed. You tend to emphasize the good things he does in a game and disregard (whether purposefully or unconsciously) some of the bad things he does in game. For example in this game, there were moments Garnacho lost the ball and allowed Fulham to go on the counter leading to chances where Garnacho didn’t really track back. In this scenario garnacho is disregarded but if it was another player like rashford you would most likely call it out when reacting to his performance. This is not a message saying you have anything against rashford and yes i do understand that rashford is a senior player and should have higher standards. But Garnacho did many good things in the game but also some poor things. I say all of this to say that I like Garnacho as a player and I understand that he is young and has areas to improve. I completely agree with you that he always makes things happen. However I think his praise is sometimes overdone. Rashford this pre season and this game has been the most unselfish we have seen him in a long time. He is more patient and does not try to force things. In other words he is trying to be a team player. This is not an argument about rashford over Garnacho but a more fair judgement of player performance overall. Some people are comparing this win to last season's 1-0 win but we were a lot better today and deserved to win unlike last season.
Mazraoui is a baller. Funny enough, i think he would do really well with a flare player like Sancho in tight spaces especially. But, Sancho is leaving ofcourse so we wont ever know. Excited to see him get better and better

Surely Zirkzee starts against Brighton which'll be tough. Casemiro was like a yo-yo in that midfield, half poor half decent. Mount was a pressing machine but ultimately didn't really impact the game so much. Garnacho needs to be starting every game because his ceiling is as high as the Eiffel Tower. Mainoo was ice cold on the ball but lost his energy in the second half, we can't overplay important young talents like him because then his form will worsen. Rashford was decent, but in my opinion needs to earn his spot in the team.

Mazraoui looks like a great deal....and even zirksee...both are technical players and I didn't see them lose the ball. Rashford was our focal point to lose the ball and Maguire is 1 kick away from a mistake. He made some stupid passes to Martinez when he was in a safe position and Martinez was under pressure.
We create chances. This team is screaming out for Ivan Toney and no one is mentioning the fact we kept a clean sheet. I’m more happy with the clean sheet when you consider how many goals we conceded last season

I agree with your enthusiastic assessment of the game. Some really intricate passages of play. Some outright chances that can be missed early season. Defence was solid. A couple of lapse moments for them on the break but all in all a good start. Massive to win in last 5 minutes. Well done lads👍

I hope that INEOS in their marketing and analytics are watching THE UNITED STAND. Our interactions and thoughts of what we want as fans for the club are good. We need to still get rid of the deadwood. I see more of our players in the final 3rd but we need more technicians in the midfield. Mount was all over the place with the press worked really hard. Missing some quality but can see why Ten Hag likes him. He doesn't seem to have that cutting edge though like Bruno. Mount is good at a lot of things works hard but is not a master of any particular skill he's technical. He's like a duracel bunny.

Mark I honestly think you’re overhyping garnacho’s performance. The assist was great but other than that he did nothing. Tried winning fouls and gave the ball away on the edge of their box twice which lead to their two biggest counter attacking chances. Missed the sitter at the end. 5.9 is fair

Fulham had like 3-4 counter attacks from garnacho's mistake. when he dived, shot from stupid position, acted selfish etc. His decision making is non existent and then missed the easiest chance possible.
