First of all I have to say I LOVE the way everything is fitted so well in the animation!! Especially little things like the shark, or that little part with the beta small Mario. This is just so SO good in that aspect. And second, I love how wholesome this is uwu
It may sound too farfetched, but what if this elder is actually the leader of the Yoshi Clan from SMW2? I could see him in a special 96 goals ending, where he invites Mario, Yoshi and the Princess for a talk, only to reveal that he knew Mario's name without asking because they had already met long ago, teasing Yoshi's Island.
It’s fun to see early builds of the game. Mario reacting to enemies even the one he first in encountered during his first outing is great. Despite the scrapped enemies not being in the base game.
I don't recall being THIS much in the beta files and I tought the Hammer Bro was a bit more similar to the Mario Maker version (or it was just the Sledge Bro? I'm pretty sure, HB wasn't like in the video), but still, nice.
Back in 2018, a hacker named Ryan Hernandez broke into Nintendo’s internal database and stole a couple terabytes worth of assets. These assets were released on 4chan in 2020, and included early content for Super Mario World, Yoshi’s Island, Super Mario 64, tons of Pokémon stuff, and several unused demos, among other things.
From the Pokemon beta of gold and silver, I can testify to that. It just seems so bizarre and imagine if the creators actually went with the design. Would've been an entirely different game then.
This is cool, it's a fun way to showcase a lot of the beta sprites while doing creative ways to incorporate them into SMW. I've gotta ask, though; how many of these sprites are actually real? In the description it credits 'borosbros123' for 'Beta Sprites" and there's a lot of sprites here that I don't remember from the leak, though that could just be me. Question is, were any of the sprites here created specifically for this video or is every sprite real and actually from the gigaleak?
As an ex-SMW modder, I can say about most of these are fake, based off of concepts not fully implemented. During the first few bits of the video most of the real beta sprites can be seen, such as the baby yoshi, yoshi, bonzai bill, goombas, etc. The third mario variant is also real, so is the small mario shown shortly after such. Tanooki leaf was real, as it replaced what later was the cape, and a few other small things were in the game too at some point. However, I would estimate 80%+ of the shown sprites are fan-made mockups, and probably 40% fully fan-made. There's plenty documentation on this if you want to see this stuff for yourself. :) Hope this helps.
@@Enlightenment0172 the shell and skull machines are real. And so are the dinosaurs, Blarggs, white-eyed creature, grandpa yoshi, triangle block, huge coins, surprised plant, helmet cape, thumbs up sumo, wings, full bowser, most of these are real.

But how could you forget the best find of the gigaleak? The naked Kawauso from Utsurun Desu (that predates the timestamp in the NES game by about a year)
Always wondered why they scrapped the most of the actual “dinosaur” enemies. Kinda important for a place called Dinosaur Land.
Yeah this dinosaur like enemies are perfect to be in the final game version not just this island need wigglers more koopas dinosaur land need more dinosaurs
At least the concept was somewhat revisited in the cartoon series

I like this so much!, It's like Mario discovering the beta stuff for the first time. Nice animation bro!
I wish they had included Grandpa Yoshi as like a replacement for the info boxes. Like, you go and talk to him and he explains stuff to you.
