If I could Sword Fight like The Phantom in scenes just like this from the film it would be interesting and quite impressive to master those moves and action sequences like how Gerard Butler nailed this scene to perfection and it could've easily worked in the stage musical as well

So. Much. Cape. Flipping. It’s a wonder how Gerard didn’t slip between takes. Not the best idea to sword fight in it, but he does pull off the swooshing moments that it’s a character of its own, both on and off screen lol.
What kind of sword was Phantoms? It has an edge but seems almost like its thin.

This was the worst choreographed sword fights I've ever seen in my life. Every time I see it in the movie, I can't help but laugh.
I take fencing and this is not even close to real fencing and this never happened in any other version of the story

To be fair, there are a lot of movies where the fight scenes (sword fighting or otherwise) are more about dramatic flair than function.
Totes fake!! They shouldn't include that swordfight in there. They're not even fighting. They're just chasing each other like children.

It's a movie. What of this did you expect to be real?🙄 And besides, at least they aren't computer generating everything.
