Difference Between 맞추다 & 맞히다 (Explained in 100% Korean!)

- 맞추다 and 맞히다 look and sound similar but their meanings are actually very different! Take a look at their difference and practice your Korean listening while you're at it. :)

레슨 감사합니다! '성격을 맞춘다'는 표현은 너무 좋아요! 저는 개인적으로 누구랑 만날 때 성격을 무의식적으로 맞춰요.맞힌다고는 여러 답중에 정답을 고르거나 화살을 과녁에 쏠 때말고는 쓸 수 있는 다른 상황 생각이 안 나네요! 왠지 스포체에 대해 이야기할 때 잘 쓸 수 있는 말인가봐요. 예들면 축구에서 골을 넣으면 이 상황과 잘 맞을까 싶어요.
맞춰보세요 and 맞혀보세요 . Which one of them is commonly used to say that try to guess

저는 이 영상을 영어 자막 없이 공부한걸 1시간 정도 걸었는데요 한국말로 설명을 거의 다 이해해서 기분이 정말 좋아요 ^^ 감사합니다 쌤 ^^ 이 영상의 내용은 이해하기 다 맞혔어요. 그리고 두번째 볼 때는 아무 오해하는것을 다 맞췄어요! (제 말이 맞는지 알려주실 수 있으면 정말 감사할겁니다!)

아 그 만큼 틀렸군요 ㅎㅎ I was just trying to say that it took an hour to study the video but I understood your explanation without subtitles. And then tried to use 멎히다 and 맞추다 ㅋㅋㅋ I wanted to say I understood everything exactly. (아마 맞히게 이해했어요 라고 말하면 돼요?) And that when I rewatched the video for the second time, I tried to correctly fix any parts I misunderstood. I wanted to try and apply both new words.
Well I applaud you for trying to apply what you learned right away 😀 I did understand the gist. Unfortunately 맞히다 isn’t used as an adverb so to say you understand exactly you can say 정확하게 이해했어요 or 완전히 (completely) 이해했어요. For “figure out” you can say 알아냈어요. Hope this helps!
