I would say that frighteningly (or it's synonyms) does make sense as a translation for 겁나. I have occasionally, (in informal settings) described something as "scary good" or "frighteningly bad". Also, using "wicked" in a similar way is stereotypical Boston speak.

I can think of many more words..! As I've been learning Korean I feel like each word has a slightly different feeling that is hard to put into words. One of the more popular words I don't think you covered (?) is 되게. And there are rude slang words too that I wouldn't expect you to cover!

안녕하세요 선생님! 좋은 강의예요! When I was watching Korean shows I noticed that 멋있어요 and 멋져요 are both translated as 'cool'. I am curious is there a difference between these two words? I guess that Koreans don't use them always interchangeably. In what situation should I use 멋있어요 and in what situations should I use 멋져요? I will be grateful to you if you help me to understand the difference in usage.
