  • In this video we get up close and take a look at the Orange Bike Stage 6 in the Factory build option.
    We will give you a rundown of what parts come on this bike, how it measures up, and what it all comes together as.
    See if you can guess the two movie quotes thrown into the video.
    This is the first of a few Orange Bikes review and tests that will be coming out.

    Good review mate and you come across as a really friendly Chap . I'm from England and had the Stage 6 Mk1 and it was a weapon ! Took it all over the French ,Italian Alps on some seriously gnarly stuff . Rode DH centres in Britain etc kind of regret selling it now but got another British Bike called a Cotic Rocket Max....look it up . I will no doubt get another Orange at some point .

      Thank yo for for the kind words! Ya that Stage 6 sure is a ripper. I definitely missed out not being able to take it to some real descents. But, for the majority of the riding I am able to do without hours of travel its a bit much bike. The nest Orange I cover will be the local trail killer. I have heard of Cotic, one of the dealers near me sells them. How does the steel dually ride for you?

    Spend more time with my FIRST full-suspension, than my galfriend. Explains the tumultuous mornings. Received the Stage Six(Smoke White. Which will be bad during deer season) frame. A Suntour Durolux, as I can't afford the expensive over-marketed crap), and Deore 12 speed component group(works flawlessly). Installed a crankguard, as I often tend to get wounds from the crank. A Wrathchild studded tire on front, and she's glorious to ride through six inches of un-groomed snow trails and slick roads with snow packed from those audacious vehicles. The 35mm WTB rims, give me a little extra grip on Adirondack trails, and make it slightly easier to remove the big tires.

      Sounds like a good build. Suntours option are quite good. I know they have a bad rep due to previously being only OEM gear, but they have some amazing stuff. If you haven't already, add about 5-10cc of a good lube to each lower leg. It really makes then come alive. I have WTB I-35 on a different bike. Great rims and the extra volume makes them ride great. Your bike sounds like it's built correct in the right places. !!!!

    Can I use this stage 6 for everything? Lovd the look of this bike and want something to get into enduro racing aswel. Don't have the money to have several bikes so hoping I can do it all on this.

    • @WattOnWheels
      @WattOnWheels  3 года назад

      So, yes you can use it for everything as long as you keep in mind that it is purposely made to be an enduro race bike. Meaning, it will be the better choice if that is what you will do with it most of the time. I rode everything while I had this bike to test. If you are going to be doing good agressive general riding and only entering in an enduro once or twice a year for fun, other models may be a better option. Check out the Orange Stage Evo video that I made also. Same geometry theory as the Stage 6 but with shorter travel and a shorter chainstay length better for regular use.

      I have one about the Orange Stage Evo as well. I really got to put that bike to the test. Hopefully there will be more in the future now that the weather is for the better.

      No, there is a sales rep team and dealers here in Pittsburgh that are supporting Orange Bikes.

    welcome to my world with bike racks :) ... Im 6'3" so even XL trail and XC bikes with fairly steep head tube angles and modest chain stays wont fit on average racks... 1Up was the only brand I could find long enough for a XL enduro bike.

    • @WattOnWheels
      @WattOnWheels  3 года назад

      That sucks to be limited to certain products like that. 1mm longer and a custom options would be needed.

    13:58 hard time? nah, I won't I ride a Geometron G1. but you will have to get used to a bike that is very different, learn balance points, and how it corners, but got the hang of cornering from first go on my bike, so I am sure this one would not be too bad.
