During this time angels will also be coming back in thru my portal from Pleiades. Do NOT research Pleiadeans. Google is Satans. We were annointed to initiate a change but you peoole chose Satans You Tube creators over us. Over Yahweh. So Yahweh shut us down. Plasticines are liars. There job is 2protect Lucifer. Yahweh honors those who fight or take their own life rather then be caught. He can NOT help u once u caught. These police esp. Like raping little boys while mom & dad watch. Do not eat Satans pure poison vaccines. Do not subscribe his government, phony scary wars or atom bombs. He wants attention. You are not here to rehabilitate his society. He does not have a good side. Yahweh showed us Mike Pence raping 300 babies a year drinking their blood. Government is not the answer. Eat no pharma or Satans poison processed food. Its all poison. Do not 5star review Satans phony pandemics. Thanks for a nice review! 😀 One question. So far, I have been wary of both mechanical disc brakes but also this hybrid model, since I haven't tried any disc brake bike which didn't have a fully hydraulic brake system, which, when I brake hard, I will feel the point where the brake starts to lock up the wheel. I really like being able to feel this point clearly, especially when I’m on slippery surfaces and in traffic.. I feel like it's almost a kind of ABS.. So, my question to you: How well do these hy/rd brakes let you know when they are about to lock up the wheel compared to a fully hydraulic system? And does it make a big difference whether you are using compressionless cable housing or not?

    • @axvlife
      @axvlife 7 месяцев назад

      Ok so both of the answers to your questions tie in together. The compressionless housing is the key. With it you have a great feel of how the brake is doing regarding bite point and strength. With classic cables it is mushy and is not consistent feeling between light and hard braking. Having said that, time has passed since I made this video. Even the budget brake models are doing very well now. The costs are reasonable and they work well. So it really is up to the application to determine which will work best for you.

    Currently, there are some easier options available without all the drilling and messing around. NC-17 sold a complete kit with top and bottom plates. No Frame drilling is needed. Sixpack components sell a top plate as well that works seamlessly with narrow stems. Both of them are way cheaper compared to the whole Title system.

      If you are doing a lot of commuting, the hookworms are a good call. Over broken pavement and even glass, they will be durable. They are heavy but durable. Hookworms are available in a standard weight (for 26", anyway: 26x2.5", IIRC); Lighter fare could be Holy Rollers: 26x2.2" or 26x2.4". All three are great; If you want progressively lighter and less burly: 2.4 & 2.2 HR. IME Holy Roller has better puncture resistance from the thicker knobs, but that could well be circumstantial. Anyway-! Happy riding- Stay safe.

Im not sure i can get a set of 2.3" tyres on my bike but I've ordered some of these Michelins anyway. They look great, and they're light enough. Only issue i found was you have to keep on top of maintenance to avoid lazy pistons. Just to be sure, you are using the tubed version or the tubeless version? If the pressure was too low there is a chance the tube and insert may have moved, or there just isn't any air in the tube at all. Did you try just adding some air first?

    • @turntabillist
      @turntabillist Год назад

      @@WattOnWheels Hey, thanks for the response. Yeah, the tubeless version. Air can be added without issue but something must have moved a bit. When I remove the valve core, I can push in a q-tip and release air that way. I guess the important thing is that I can add air. Weird problem but I guess I can live with it until I decide to take off the tire and see what's going on (or have the bike shop do it, lol!). Thanks again!

    • @WattOnWheels
      @WattOnWheels Год назад

      @@turntabillist ok. Ya if a little flap of the insert is covering the valve it can block air escaping. Sometimes the inserts need trimmed a little before putting them in depending on the tire and rim combo used.

    • @WattOnWheels
      @WattOnWheels Год назад

      How they will be on dirt jumps really depends on the prep work of the dirt at your spot. If it's true prepped hard pack that's been watered and swept you are golden. If it's public access/dusty and rough, it depends on if you are landing tricks or straight landing. Not sure on puncture protection since I always run high pressure and never got something stuck in them.

The manual was telling me to unscrew the bottom and pull the post out but I managed to just unscrew the top collar, pull the bushing out and drop the spacers in. Works great though! I've also watch your other video on the Tannis Tire Insert with the tubes. Out of these two setups, which do you prefer or feel is the best - Tannis (Inserts with tubes) or Mynesweepers? I feel that the Tannis insert with the tube is way too heavy as it can add 300g on the rear tire alone! 160g added to the rear wheel (insert and sealant) seems like a pretty good solution for tubeless setup. Also, Mynesweepers seem to supply setups for 26" wheels (ohm yes 26" wheels is still alive and kicking) while other companies, such as SmooshSmores had ditched the 26" version of their inserts.

    • @WattOnWheels
      @WattOnWheels Год назад

      The Mynesweepers are going to be they way to go if you want it to feel like a regular tire. Keep in mind that since I made the original Tannus video they have now come out with their own tubeless insert that may work well for you. I haven't tested them yet but they look fairly simple as far as install goes.

    • @aliquisignotus9790
      @aliquisignotus9790 Год назад

      @@WattOnWheels I looked at the Tannus Tire Tubeless Insert as well and they're half the weight of the Cushcore (Smooshsmore). However, I'm still going strong with 26" wheels and the new Tannus tubeless setup does not have any inserts for that wheel size. I've asked Tannus about supplying the 26" version and the reply is that they might (I'm not holding my breath on it). I did get the Tannus tube insert after getting so many flats but I decided to run tubeless since I had the wheels and tires set up on my new wheelset as such from March. I've got no inserts in them currently and hoping not to ding the rims with proper air pressure. I'll likely go with the Mynesweepers for their light weight. Tires these days weigh over 1kg, which is double what they used to be. I'm running a heavy case rear tire that's about 1100g and I can definitely feel it on climbs. Imagine adding another 200-300 grams of unsprung weight in the back? It's fine if you're doing all shuttle rides for DH. But I do XC and Enduro. The weight just kills you over several hours of riding, especially if there's a lot of steep, long climbs.

      Thanks for the message. If you are going to go with cable disc brakes I would say the two higher end options are the original Avid BB7 road or the newer TRP Spyre. The TRP has the dual action which squeeze the rotor from both sides much like the hydros. There is also the option of using the Hyd/Mech hybrid calipers like the TRP HY/RD or the Origin 8 vise. Both of which I've reviewed in different videos.
