    The headset cup swap was way easier than I thought it would be. Digging the adjustability of that and the rear suspension progressivity. Nice review!

      Thank you! Ya the headset is super easy. I am really looking forward to getting some time on one of these and doing some back to back runs to see how much change the suspension has.

    Great video...one correction: I believe GG use a thermoPLASTIC not thermoSET resin. Thermoset resin is a polymer that cures (like epoxy) and is what virtually all carbon fiber frames use. Thermoplastic is a resin that is melted (not cured) similar to nylon and can be remelted multiple times, i.e. for recycling.

      You are correct in the technical sense. They do use a heat set thermo-plastic. But, they and others have used the term "resin" in regards to it as more of a generic term for the carbon bonding agent. So yes you are correct, but I am not completely wrong if using the terms loosely. The more I learn about composited the more interesting this gets.

    Really liked your overview of this bike. I am considering buying it this spring.

      I have a few video also that lead up to my personal build of one. I have about 4 rides in on my new build. I need the weather to break so I can really push it and see what it can do.

    Just ordered a GG smash. Haven't gotten to ride one before, so kinda a shot in the dark. Seems like what GG is doing is super innovative, and all I have heard is good things. Really interested to try switching out the rear end to make the bike into a totally different bike. I have been on the fence between a short or long travel trail bike, and seems Iike for an extra $1400 I can pretty much have a second $5000 bike to try and switch between.

      You will not be disappointed. Did you order a complete or just the frame? What parts will be on it?

      @Watt On Wheels got a complete build. Fox factory 36 and a float X. Gx eagle drive train. Code rsc brakes. Went with the cheapest wheel option, but plan on switching them out with some crank bros synthesis e11 wheels I have a hookup on. All in all a pretty sweet build. I was actually surprised they still had so many options on parts. Seems like getting my hands on parts has been impossible recently.

      @@TheWrigle I know it’s been a little while now. So how are you liking the Smash?? I can’t decide between the Pistola or Smash.

      GG looks pretty awesome

      @WattOnWheels  2 года назад

      @@shamrock4840 both are going to be good choices. In that level of bike, they all are pretty sweet. The one Bonus the GG will have is the option to change the bike up if you want more or less travel should you decide down the road.

      @@WattOnWheels I went with the Ride build. I’m super excited for the Rockshox Zeb fork. I’m a bit worried about the sizing as I’m 6’9 and that’s the max size listed on their website, but I’m still stoked to get it!

      These bikes are pretty long. But it is tough to say if you will need to tweak it with a different stem or move the seat all the way back. Let me know how it feels once you get it!

    Do they ship world wide?

    • @WattOnWheels
      @WattOnWheels  2 года назад +1

      They say they can ship to most countries but it doesn't specify "worldwide". You would have to check their website to see if your country is in the drop down box.
