Great video of a GREAT bike. I flew to Denver to test ride GG's and took a Smash up Apex Trail, aka home of the famous Yeti Lunch Ride. I was stoked how well the bike jumped all the hips and smooth little jumps up top in Crush mode. But when I flipped it to Plush mode and then dropped into that chunky canyon down below it blew my mind how the bike just ate it all up with hardly any drama. It was the defining "buy now" moment. Been beating the crap out of my V1 alloy Smash for 4 years now. RideGG!
Thanks for the comments and stoke to hear we share the same love for this bike. Although this was my first modern geometry bike (2 years of Riding) I won’t be riding anything else. Keep enjoying it and stay safe. RideGG! 🤘🤘
Great video. For now(a workaholic), I ride hardtails. Have had over thirty brands in twenty-six years. When I retire(another decade), it's gonna be full-suspension all-mountain rigs...after the long-tropical vacation during a New York Winter, for the wife.
Thanks for watching and the comment. I wish I had been riding as long as you have. Hard tail is definitely something I want next to play around with. Hears to the day you get that full squish. Stay safe.
Thanks again Brian. Great riding with you this weekend. The red machine is a 1966 AMC Rambler 440. Nearly all original with one big exception. I put a LS 5.3 motor in it. If you go to my vids at the very beginning, I have a few on it. I’m always up for talking about it. Thanks for asking.
Great video Mike, a super cool bike and beautifully explained. I like your garage. A great test ride in a fantastic place. Have fun with it and take care buddy. Ride on
Well mike, not gonna like….. that’s one nice looking bit of kit dude! Plus all the bells and whistle componentry👌🏼. Really really great review mate, makes me want a new bike. 😔. Side note, really enjoyed you doing the on camera gear. Well done my dude…. Now it’s time to send it🤘🏼
Man looks great!! My rear is 130 but yours looks like it has much more travel even though just 10mm more ! I've been thinking of a spring because even if I lose 20 pounds I'll still be 210 and I feel like I could be happier with my rear squish lol I agree that new aggressive geo makes you feel like your sitting in the bike rather than on it if that makes sense 🤘🤘my Marin is a 2021 model upgraded from 2010 xc bike so I really felt the difference! enjoy duude!
Wow you really upgraded. Love the Marin. Great way to describe the Geo. Totally makes since. Thanks for watching. Looking forward to seeing what we both do this year. Progress is King.
It is incredible how much faster it feels. Yeah, I think the suspension is perfect for my skill and riding style. Need a token in the rear though. Thanks as always. 🤘GG
Oh yeah! GG bike looks heaps sick! Looking comfy on it! Very interesting that you can keep the front triangle and change the bike into bigger or smaller with a new rear and linkage ect. I'm a huge fan of the sleek top tube to seat stay line which is the same for Mondraker (Can't wait for mine)
The Mondraker was another one I was looking at. Looks like we both have the same interest and Jean eye😂. Now I just need to start riding at your level to get the full pull out of the G🤘G. Thanks for checking it out. Let’s go 2022.
What's up Mike!! Hey man congrats on the sweet Guerrilla Gravity Smash🔥🔥!! This bike is a huge upgrade from your motobecane, but that's great news you are keeping it. I always recommend at least owning two bikes so there's always a backup if one is down or you got a buddy / family member wants to ride w/ you! I remember Guerrilla Gravity when they first ramped up and opened their shop in Denver. I always wanted to get the Guerrilla Gravity Pedalhead back then it just seems like it be a fun hardtail. The bike from GG that I am digging is the Trail Pistol but even on the smallest frame and with my RAD measurements all GG bikes reach is just way too long. But dude, Congrats my man!! You are gonna be bored riding Palmer Park... its time to hit Winter Park and send it!! Let that wheelbase and suspension do all the work. You'll be riding that bike as if you never left your sofa 😁 Looking forward to your future rides!! 👍 👍 👍
Thanks my friend. So cool you were around when GG started. Talking about sitting in a sofa, that sort of what made me go with GG. I sat on another Smash and it was the first bike where I immediately felt like I was sitting on my BMX. Such a pocket. Down only parks are definitely in my future. Thanks for the support. Hopefully we can get a ride in together this year. Stay safe!

Looks a killer machine mate! Happy to say that the choice of 140 rear and 150 front is a solid setup, that's what I've got too 😁
It is incredible how much faster it feels. Yeah, I think the suspension is perfect for my skill and riding style. Need a token in the rear though. Thanks as always. 🤘GG

Thanks for the sub and comments. Yes I use Maxxis DH on front and rear.

How tall are you, which size and setting did you Use and which stem length?
Thanks 😃
I’m 5’11. Chose the large and ride plush all day. Stem length is 50. Hope it helps.
Still have ? Sizing thoughts ? I need an S4 is it a tight fit or generous ?
Most definitely have. Not tight at all. This bike does it all.
