Great video on this. I already bought it on impulse though 😆
Guess you'll have to do a video showing you using this 🙃
im tempted
Love your tunes and what you've done for the RUclips DJ scene, thanks for watching man
The hypeman watches big Z, what a legend.
hahaha it's hard to not buy it, oeksound is great!
Dude, that mix on YOUR song is so good!!
Thanks man!
Over the last years your growth as a person, producer and content creator has been really amazing. You seem more passionate, eloquent and focused, you look amazing and the numbers speak for themselves. Big Z making big moves!
agreed 100%
Yeah I really like him. I used to hate his douche smile but was like, he’s the best source of information on RUclips.
Then his smile got more genuinely looking.
Totally agree!
Appreciate that! Thanks for watching
Thanks Z! Another helpful video. You've saved me 200 bucks for now!
"Can save a lot of time" can't agree more, also if someone making money with it, I think it's really a great plugin just like their other plugins tbh.
lol 200 bucks is thievery
depend how you see, if you are mixing and with that you can save like 15 minutes on each mix, you can do 7 mixes a day instead of 6 for example on the long run, you can earn more cash. @@jaconova
@@jaconova someone used your card to purchase Bloom? That's too bad, try contacting your bank
Good advice, this channel deserves to be bigger.
Big Z, even though I'm subbed, I did a search for your name in YT just to be able to quickly get back to your channel since YT hasn't been putting your vids in my feed lately.
Just wanted to mention this because I wanted you to know that people out there respect you, and take the time to seek your info. Good stuff bro.
I just turned the bell on to remedy this issue of YT not putting your vids in my feed.
I like the song in this video, excellent powerful solid low end! Thanks for the tips
Thanks man! I'll be releasing it in the next couple months
@@BigZMusic sick, cant wait
This sound is going to be great summer hit! ;) cannot wait to hear it! :)
I know a bunch of people are outraged by the price, but for me I can comfortably afford it and ANYTHING that saves me time and allows me to get good sounding music out quicker is worth it to me. I lose interest in creative ideas when my tools are tedious to use. I get that the value isn't there for some people but I think this thing is awesome.
I thought I was the only one who loses interest in my ideas when I’m calculating every Hz and every mathematical equation in the sound as well
Comfortably afford it. Nice flex bruh😂
@@exspirit9503 😎
Subtle flex "I'm above poverty level"
Good for you. Comfortably buy me one. I really want this!
I think this might be perfect for artist, to get close to the sound we want. I'm not saying to replace the mix engineer, but normally you have a sound in mind that you cannot express. This seems really intuitive. You might get close to that sound before you send it to mix.
Love the content! And I think you're the first mixing/production tutorial dude who actually has great music in their videos lol
Bloom is a multiband spectral compressor, not just a regular multiband compressor. Gives it more detail and ease of use. I think it's worth getting!
Thanks,you really save my money!
When Bloom gets into squash it's designed to behave quite differently vs keeping the amount under squash, which is contributing the most to what you describe as bringing up the sustain, it's not just doing that by default.
BIG Z THE BEST, greetz from Amsterdam!
3:20, the high's on the bloom'd sample sounded better and more airy
I'm listening to this demo and I understand what you really need for your production 😁
And this is hardware.
Believe me, when you run your clean, neat multitrack through the hardware channel strip (SSL fusion or 500 rack you have assembled), you will hear just the sound that distinguishes ITB production from world-class sound.
First of all, the bottom will change for the better, but also the top will soften, while the top end will become much more readable.
In your case, as a professional producer, you need to stop spending money on software
I would advise for everybody else to wait for a sale, i did that with soothe2
Or wait for someone to crack it lol
How cheap does soothe2 get on sale?
@@thugtrippin had to look it up for you, got a 50 euro discount on my price on sale.
Thanks for the Review. I own Spiff and Soothe and I gotta say I'm a little disappointed that there isn't any sort of discount for good customers. 200 Bucks is a lot for a PlugIn, especially if you can get there with PlugIns I already have. I'll wait for some kind of deal.
OK so the plugin is cool and all but that track is poppin! Love that bass sound! Bravo
what a banger beat, good work
I love that vocal, I made a track with the same one lol.
Outrageous cost for what it does.
As always, knowing what's already in the market (and works generally better) would help.
The rest is marketing.
this track is fuckin siiiiiiick
Same here. Mixed much faster with bloom. Love it
Cheers for the review . Oek normally a staple in the set up
nice review and great insights at the end
O 'eck is what I said when I saw the price
this channel is so good
Alright fine! I’ll buy it
Smart comp is also an ai multiband compressor with diffrent modes but doesnt do the tone shaping.
I've come to realise that Spiff is OEK's most powerful and useful plugin. The way you can completely sculpt the RMS of a sound before saturation and compression is where the fat juicy drums come from. Soothe 2 is great but man the texture and fatness you can get out od Spiff is unparalleled.
Btw, when will Fabfilter gives us Pro MB-2?
Bloom is the best!!
you forgot to mention doesnt it take alot cpu? how about latency does it add much?
That is what I like honest reviews. There are so many plugins that it is not even funny and very confusing. Everyone looking to make a buck. Thank you for the great review.
What is that SIICCKK!! Bass sound? I want it!! Please tell me where I can get it!
By the way: NICE TRACK!
best thing is the song here :)
It's absolute a waste of money. It's a glorified gullfuss or an upgraded multiband dynamics + eq. 200 Bucks is the price of a DIGITAL AUDIO WORKSTATION!.
Yep, just commented that. It's plain thievery, no matter how you sugar coat it
Logic yeah. Not the others.
The other question is whether you know how to work a multi band compressor or other devices well enough to get the results of bloom. If you do then you don't need this. Setting up those multi-band compressors that you showed makes my brain hurt. I like the fact that I can play around with it and see if I like what it is doing. I don't have to think about it much when I mix. Like others are saying, this gives me my time back.
People can use it how ever they want but people should kinda understand the “‘amount” knob a bit more. Pushing it into compression mode is a whole different animal.
Thanks!
Sick ❤
Oh eck - right out of bloody Yorkshire, I tell thee
I feel like Wavesfactory Equalizer already handles tonally flattening sound and also supports mid-side. You can just pair that with a transient shaper to bring out the sustain side of something if you wanted. Ozone 11's Clarity module also kind of does this tonal balance stuff as well.
OTT or ADPTR Sculpt is also something that can more or less do something similar from a multiband compression stand point. Upwards compression also can emulate bringing up the sustain part because it's going to take the quieter parts and bring it up, so you can do that with any multiband compressors that supports upwards compression.
I personally can't justify the cost for this given what else is out there that's still simple enough in interface that you don't have to go as heavy in depth with something like Fab Filter Pro MB 2.
Super informative, thanks!
So they said you can increase highs without getting artifacts that a normal eq would bring , also it adapts to the frequency and targets what each frequency is trying to achieve so in the lows you would have muddy frequencies and it targets warmth for example so it’s pretty good at saving time . Watch the oeksound team use it and it sounds great on vocals
Great video, also loving the track in the video, are you releasing it?
amazing video thanks !
It's a $59 plugin. The other two are good enough from Oek for me
Bro what is this song? It sounds fantastic!
My own track called ‘Easy To Love’ - it’s still unreleased but I’ll be dropping in the next 2-3 months
I appreciate the detailed comparison between Bloom and existing tools in your arsenal. Given the similarities in functionality with multi-band compressors, it raises a question: Do you foresee yourself using Bloom predominantly for specific tasks, or will it replace your current go-to plugins for tone shaping and dynamics control?New subscriber here
So if you drove Gulfoss into OTT and gave it Soothe's interface and made it pink.
Nice one! I sort of feel the same way about this plugin. A bit too expensive for what it is but will speed stuff for sure! ☘💪🏽👀👍🏽☘
0:09 whats that track holy shiiiiieeett i need it
It's not the same as the Pro MB. Pro MB as you're using is doing downward compression. The Bloom is doing upward compression. You can notice it when you use a percussive element. The transient stayed intact because its not downward compression but upward. Thats why you notice about the sharpness. Its just the transients that stay the same.
You are really a genius ♥️
I don't think it's all that special, the charm of mixing is using you set of plugins you know from your arsenal of plugins ,getting into a frenchy of new stuff you hope to works can be a trap you might not wanna fall into. That is why I need something special from a plugin ,to give me what I can't get from what I know what works. I quess they ran out of ideas for new plugins, but then again, I think everyone should buy Sooth anyway....But this is a problem with many plugins these days...And wave is guilty to of re-using old pluging and label it brand new.. you feel me?
bro i irl pogged when i saw 209 buckaroonies
yes
it seems a gullfoss-ish auto balancer with a tone shaping eq... for 200 I'll turn the question around: can Bloom do what Pro-q 3 / Pro-MB can do ? 😎
how what version "easy to love you" play at the beginning of the video?
ridiculous price, just get Teote.
Oeksound Spring Sale coming up soon here :)
Aside from the great video this is a pretty sick track you should release it
seems very similar to the tone shaper in izotope ozone, maybe more sensitive tho
would you mix and master a song for me and make a tutorial on how you done?
first thought was, that design looks like soothe2
Hi zach can you make a video where you disect/analyze some future disco tracks ? (kylie Minogue's New Album for example)
I dont think is a plugin that will use it in many tracks...so the saving time is not a big factor as if this plugin can do wonders than others cant
Great video as usual! Thank you! I think this plugin does the same as Equalizer plugin by Wavesfactory. Am I wrong? Equalizer is a kind of 32-band dynamic eq with the goals of literally equalise the signal of all 32 bands reacting to the incoming signal, with a variety of controls similar to the ones on this Bloom plugin (but cheaper). Can you make a comparison of these two plugins please?
I bought it, saves a lot of time
I have time. 😊
overhyped yes and naturally we already have a ton of dynamic eqs and multi band compressors out there.. for the same price u buy fabfilter that does it all. Waste of money no, it's an eq which is still good to have (unless u have alternatives). But this is how the internet works... and the same applies to Soothe: there is nothing radically innovative about these plugins let's be honest but for the kids everything looks new. And it is nice to see that innovation is now just not in the hands of Steinberg and Native Instruments as it has been for 30 years. Sonible (still in EU tho) does interesting things.. their gate is just great it's hands down my fav gate!
Your conclusion was exactly what I was thinking. So rn its a no for me, but maybe its a useful investment in the future
Baby Audio Smooth Operator. 🙂
No Quality-Plugin is a waste of money. Im sure this tools workflow and approach is half the cost. Originality! Quality over Quantity!
I wish I'd understand everything you just did :-)
Thanks you save me money😅😂
Iiiiiiit’s worth my time 😁. Bye bye $282 CAD after demo ends.

Awesome track🔥..how do I make a track like this ?Any tutorial/preset/sample pack ?
is it just me or is the the music plugin market dead? I havent seen a single plugin that is a must have in the last 4 Years
If it’s that difficult to figure out whether the thing does anything special then you don’t need it.
Today all is free, if you know where to loking for 😂
Everyone start boycotting oaks sound plug-ins plug-in should not be no more than $100 at tops. They want $209 these greedy losers. Set a strong message to these companies. They’re not gonna take advantage of us anymore.
Love the products they make, but for me I wouldn’t buy it. I prefer to purchase plugins that considerably reshape my workflow, and I don’t feel that from this
This plugin is a great ideia for Pro-MB 2
Thanks for saving me 200 bucks ❤
I'm waiting for the sale on this one
me too but I'm afraid we'll wait forever, this company is very greedy
Gulfoss or Bloom? Anyone compared them yet?
Ifeature did and bloom won

You do such an amazing job explaining things, nice review!!
it kinda does the same as smooth operator by baby audio.
this plugin is completely useless in my opinion
PINK bright GUI ?! wtf
Typical, company make a good product that's actually good and help people, and then starts creating absolute useless things, because a company got to make money right?
Man, you’re the best reviewer on RUclips, thanks!
