This is edited so unbelievably clearly and the quality of the knowledge given is genuinely great. This man is the real deal
Agreed. There were so many things in this tutorial that I just hadn't considered, and it was all conveyed masterfully.
Also, nice logo!
nice logo
honestly mate, you are one of the most useful youtube accounts for production. The tips you give are priceless and to the point as well. Really appreciate the hard work you put in to make serious production tips accessible to smaller producers like me and i look forward to every video you release. Big ups and a lotta love my guy!
That’s straight facts.
Thanks for watching man 🙌🏼
@@BigZMusic Your good deeds are paying off man, so much respect for you. Thank you, love from India!
Big Z is the man. Thank you for everything ❤️
100% agree with this 🫡
Your channel is probably the best EDM/electronic music tutorial channels I’ve ever seen. Thank you man
7:10 This tip is Gold. Most producers came cross those techniques, but they rarely use it because its easier to drag and drop already made FXs. However, the last tip you gave made us zoom out of the picture and relate. Thanks A LOT !
I saw this comment first and watched with anticipation, and you weren't wrong man! Solid GOLD!
That tip at the end about imagining the song into 4 main parts actually helped so much with transitions. I listened to some reference tracks and noticed they pretty much all did the same thing and it really opened my eyes. Thanks for the video!
Dude you are what jumpstarted my production journey with house back in like 2019 and I've been a fan since. You've grown a ton and it's definitely showing in your video quality too. I think I can say this for a lot of your fans, but thanks for being so impactful and sharing your brilliant ideas
I love your videos, you are insanely motivating, thank you very much, I wanted to see new tricks more often, because they are very useful!
These are good tips my dude. Also playing with WIDTH is fun. Automating to mono or widening before sections can add heaps of impact!
Great video man, the final tip is gold. I always try to imagine that my electronic productions are a live band jamming together. As one member starts to change their dynamics or groove moving up to a new section it cues everyone else (other band members or instruments) to do the same to get ready, as well as clue in the audience.
Just found your channel and I'm so glad I did :) the way you explain these steps is so enjoyable and inspiring. Thank you!
This was super helpful and clear. And that sum up at the end was GOLD! You've pretty consistently given me new ideas to work with. Appreciate it!
I've watched this video 4 times now to lock in the information. You're a true professional musician and a great instructor. Thank you for everything you do!
Z, your videos are the best. To the point and simple and quality of course! Don't know what I'd do without you man
This guy is so inspiring and such an excellent teacher! I've heard some pretty cool tracks people made using LMMS and I've been at it myself for a while. The track kept going from good to bad to worse and finally to almost perfect. Mastering is a pain because every new sound you add takes up space in the stereo bandwidth. Certain frequencies can overaccumulate and lead to clipping and muddiness. I found what helps is EQ and adding slight attack to some instruments (too many playing at exactly the same time causes that 'muddy' sound).
Thanks again for your amazing tutorials! 🙂
Awesome video, as always! So helpful and I also feel so inspired after watching your videos! Keep it up!
Great advice, I was exactly needing it right now, thank you!
Never liked and subscribed so quickly. I've been struggling with decent transitions and this will help keep me creative and motivated. Thank you.
Hey man, just wanted to say thanks
It's easy to pick up the knowledge because of the way you explain it. I could watch other tutorials for hours and still wouldn't learn much.
It's really good that you do this
Man… Thank you for making awesome educational material like this. 🙏🏼✨ Utter gratitude
Amazing! Thank you! I have learned a lot by watching just a few of your videos.
Sick tips Z! Thanks for dropping knowledge as always!
the summary at the end was the money maker my dude - think of each main element in your track and what you can do from an automation standpoint for each to make those transitions dope... GOLD!
Uber relevant and a solid, concise presentation - bought a couple of packs just to support these tutorials (and turns out they are fire, so... win/win)
simple, but effective! I never really thought of it as a tool for transitions other than the typical hi-pass before the drop! Thanks for the tips!
Just about to work on transitions for my latest song and this popped up! Thanks, great advice.
i love your way of thinking when it comes to production and after THIS video, there's no way i wouldn't sub.
Big Z, I first heard your "Runaway," "Life's a B*tch" remix when I was maybe ten years old. I am so nostalgic for the mashups you made back in the day, and it's so cool for me to see your youtube tutorials now and learn production from you. As a young kid venturing into new music realms for the first time, I really loved your music and mixes.
that last part is really really nice..... makes so much sense that each group needs something in transition
4:51 This! This is something I need to use more in my productions. In general, this is definitely one of the best transition tutorials I've watched so far.
These tricks are what I hear in really well produced tracks, glad you put this together. Clutch!
honestly great tips. I started making music doing trap beats as a young producer but recently I have been breaking out of that and doing other ganres. Transitions are such an important and underrated part of music production especially in the eyes of younger producers and beat makers. I will definitely start using some of these tips into my music! thanks!
One of the most useful production videos I've seen in a while! Subscribed
this stuff is amazing! I feel like I can do decent 8bar loops, but it's really hard for me to make the rest of the song, that is arrangement, transitions, automation/energy, and fx. This is gold!
Yo, that transition was insane! And that bassline is so good 🥵🥵🥵
dude your a straight up legend. Honestly a massive thank you for all your content
Just subscribed....watched 2 videos and love the sharp quick and to the point tips...Great stuff
Great process for working with Reverb And Delay throws. Thanks so much
great channel mate, most of the tips I see here are truly super useful and sound professional
when I start a track I know you already got my back...Got yours on spotify everyday. thanks man
Your channel is pure gold, thank you 🙏
When shaping the reverb (of vocals and throws in particular, but it applies to any instrument), it's often better to put the shaping EQ BEFORE the reverb (known as the Abbey Road reverb trick). It makes the entirety of the reverb less dense while not eliminating the brilliant sheen of the reverb, and it makes your reverb able to be much louder without getting in the way or even sounding like it's there (until you take it away).
I always used my eq's before the reverb, but yeah..
@@tredfxman the more we know
@@tredfxman I will rename it the Abbey Road and 3DFX reverb trick.
Thx for sharing
Doesn't this make the resulting sound muddy?
This came in clutch, best tips and methodology of how to think of each group.
Great advice, thank you very much for this video! Will be useful for my next productions!
Small Z the Track sounded cool what bit i heard you tips where already rattling round in my head ... hearing them put into pratice was cool
this has changed the way I look at transitions completely - subbed
This video is priceless. One of my favs from your channel
You sir just got yourself a new subscriber. Thanks for the video, the tips are priceless
Awesome track Z! really liking this one, and as per usual amazing content, sometimes we get a little lazy and rely to much on vengeance fx noise samples for transitioning, this sounds so much more professional, will deffo use in my next track thanks
👏🏼 👏🏼👏🏼 bravo! - great great recommendations - had to hit that subscribe button about 30 seconds in!!
Oooff, thanks for this video, this marks a before and after in the way I go around transitions and creative effects
amazing. great tips man. thank you!

Your videos are all sick mate. Thanks
Big Z always delivering straight FACTS!!!! Cheers bruh!
great stuff as always.. thanks
Wow Smooth transitions with clear examples
Your videos are mandatory watching; great stuff 😊
Great explanation. When making transitions, it's always best to divide a track into the main parts in your head, then add automation to make some good transitions. Good video man!
Incredibly valuable as always, thank you!
Amazing tutorial! Thanks for the tips
thank you big z also love your new track
Great advice as always, Big Z. Bless!
a 10 min video from Big Z is way better than a lot of full courses on the market! love you broooooo!!! :) Peeeaaaceee!!!

Bro this video is so gold. Thank you very much for putting this online for free! I love your creative ideas
These are all so helpful wow! Thanks a lot man!
wow, nice tips Big Z. Very useful. THNX 🧡🔥
I’m not sure who will find this useful, but you can set logic to open the automation lane of a parameter you click when you have the automation editor open. Saves so much time messing about in the menus. Hope this helps!
Amazing video, Z. Learned a lot, thanks!
I'm glad I watched this, I misinterpreted the title so I was surprised to see you building effects. Great reminder that sidechaining isn't just for kick drums. Good video even for other DAWs
Love these tips! 👍👍
Great tips, some time you need to be reminded of classic techniques that just works.
Wow man, great Tips! Thanks a lot!
Very good tutorial mate! As someone who's been producing various styles for many years, this is actually one of the best simple and to the point tuts i've seen, glad it showed up randomly on my feed, take my sub :) Best wishes, Zariis Music

Dude you're a friggin wizard. These tips are actually amazing
Im on ableton but the concept is clear so i got a clear idea how to apply these methods .. appreciate you bro .. thanks . subscribed btw 🤝
that bass transition sounds like its morphing into a tb303. love it
Nice tips man. thanks.
My transitiongame sucks, but now Im gonna start focusing more to make it great, it makes such a big difference! Thanks alot brother !
i don't have words. YOU ARE A GEM!
Yeah ! Great stuff man!
You could also just automate the main vocal level to a send with both the delay and reverb and side chained compression on it. It works just as cleanly plus i add a spatial plug in to add even more space.
