The Common Catholic Argument Against Faith Alone

  • In this video, we examine and address a common argument promoted by proponents of works salvation. It is often asserted, that the word of God is specifically and solely referring to “works of the law”, when it seemingly promotes a justification by faith alone to the exclusion of man’s deeds. However, this position is proven unbiblical when we examine key passages pertaining to our Justification. I pray this video provides clarity and dispels any confusion concerning this subject. Lets look at it logically
God is the only one good
To be good enough to be in heaven
One would need to be as good as christ
      So
Good luck living in eternity with perfect love with the father
      Leaving heaven
Leaving the golden streets of heaven to walk on the dirty streets of sand where you wear sandels
You step in shit and it will get on your feet
You kick a rock and you will bleed
And not only give all of that up
But give it up in the complete service of others
The complete service of others and miracles
One day jesus feeds 5000 and the next 4000
And we dont even know how many times he did this
And the next day he heals the lame
The next he heals the blind
      Then those of unkiwn infermaties
      Raises the dead
And lets not even mention the fact he does this all
      Day in day out
      WITHOUT SINNING
And he doesnt do it to go to heaven but out of the goodness of his heart
Then hes betrayed by one of his best freinds
And his other best freind puts a curse on himself saying
"I dont know him in fact i put my life on it!"
And die for everyone else in the most brutal possible way
And to top it all of
      For the first time
      In all of eternity
The one person who loved you most
Before time space and matter where even a thought
Looks away and turns their back on you
While the sins of every human that ever was or would be enter you and you deal with all that shame as your back grinds against the splinterfull wood on your exposed muscle tissue
AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF
      DO IT
      WHILE PRAYING
      AND HOPING
      THAT THE PEOPLE BETRAYING YOU
      YOUR CHILDREN
WHILE YOUR OWN CHILDREN KILL YOU
      YOU PRAY
      FORGIVE THEM
Lord help us no one can get into heaven with works
      Theres just
      No
      Way

It’s like saying I don’t need to do ‘works of the law’, but need to do other works to pay for my salvation. So it’s not a gift after all! What a con job! Works of the law include just about every act of righteousness anyway and if we could obey them all, we wouldn’t need a savior. Jesus even paid for our disobedience to the law which must be for every sin of omission and commission.

The RCC's view of the church is completely at odds with the NT. It is the Scripture, and it alone, that is the guide for all Christians. The church on earth must submit to the Scriptures.
In addition , the idea that the RCC is the church that Christ setup, and that all believers must submit to it, is also rejected in the Scriptures in the strongest possible manner.
The RCC bears no resemblance to the church which is portrayed in the NT. Their view is only obtainable if one approaches the Scriptures with such rigid theological misconceptions that they must “mis-interpret” these verses to conform it to their own theological system.
Smokie, If you are absolutely commit yourself to the LITERAL, GRAMMATICAL, HISTORICAL HERMENEUTIC you will be able to understand the "Full Counsel of God" and come to the conclusion the church is not the RCC.
KEY POINT: Literal, grammatical, historical hermeneutic is the same approach used in ordinary communication. In fact American jurisprudence rests upon this interpretive approach.
The dictionary defines literal interpretation that is "based on the actual words in their ordinary meaning...not beyond the facts.
In addition, it should be noted in passing that literal interpretation has been unfairly criticised on the basis that it adheres to a wooden, inflexible literalism that fails to allow for types, symbols, figures of speech and genre distinctions. Literalism does not preclude or exclude correct understanding of types, illustrations, apocalypses, and other genres within the basic framework of literal interpretation.
It is not too difficult to account for the widespread approval of the spiritualizing or allegorizing method adopted by many conservative theologians as well as liberal and ROMAN CATHOLIC expositors. Fundamentally its charm lies in its flexibility. The interpreter can change the literal and grammatical sense of Scripture to make it coincide with it own system of interpretation.

Like Mr Diamante says, the Lord doesn’t need our filthy rags. We are nothing without him. We need to be humble and admit we need the savior who did all the work already. He completed his mission on the cross with the sacrifice of his sinless life, precious perfect blood and defeated death by rising on the 3rd day. Nothing left to do for us but believe in him. Trust in him through faith alone. We are saved by Grace. Osas🙏🏼

Also with Catholics - you have to be careful with the way they define faith and grace, or the mechanism of these phenomena. They will say that grace needs to be internalised - like for example, grace is applied into our lives through sacraments. The act for our salvation was what Christ did 2000 years ago. God declares us just because of what Christ did for those that believe. Or they will define faith as belief plus love, or belief, trust, and emotional change and contrition. They are always adding something to what should be simple.

Obfuscation - The action of making something obscure, unclear, or unintelligible.
Great for when your goal is to usurp the authority of scripture, in order to control the church. According to the Catholic church, scripture is not sole authority, and we should not focus on a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. They believe in asking dead saints, and priests to have a relationship for the member. Being lead to understanding scripture by the Holy Spirit is frowned upon, instead they church leaders, and non-biblical sources such as the Catechism. If you ever want to kill an afternoon, just ask a Catholic to detail what one must to in order to become a saint. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ? Not according to them.
    God bless.

The Jewish people believed that their salvation was possible only through their obedience to the Law. However, it has been established that no one can be justified by their works alone, including the works of the Law. The Bible verse Ephesians 2:8-9 emphasizes that salvation is attained solely through faith in Jesus Christ. Therefore, no amount of good deeds can add to the complete work done by Christ on the cross for our redemption.

If your theology doesn’t aline with that, you are reading your theology into the text. Rightly divide the Word of truth. Not every book and verse in the New Testament is evangelistic.
