I was a listener of Steven Anderson for a long time, and when he really started pushing this bad doctrine it was very confusing! It made me think “huh, did I say a prayer when I got saved? I don’t remember.” It confused me so bad that I prayed to Jesus and said I believed, but that wasn’t a righteous thing to do it was a very weak thing to do! And I still think about how weak my faith was when I did that. Believing on the Lord Jesus Christ is enough, and Himself made it so clear to us in John 3:16. I hope this comment may comfort some who may have also been thrown off by this doctrine. God bless!
Heres some not so well known news about the so-called " pastor" Angerson...hes a double talking 🐺. The man is a hate-filled free M.A.s.o.N
Doesn't he also preach faith alone?
@@mangokaiser4607 Onorato Diamante has a video titled "Fundamentalist Heresy w/ The New IFB" in it toward the very end you will see Steven Anderson saying that he has asked Jesus to save him multiple times "just to be safe". Unfortunately I fell for that weakness as well. I do think Steven Anderson is a saved man and have heard him preach great sermons on faith alone, but he is in error in this thing (and some others). Nobody is perfect! We should be careful no matter what preacher we listen to. Have a good day!
Small faith of a mustard seed will still save your soul
How do I know my faith is in Him? I want it to be but doubt if it is sometimes and have been struggling with just knowing how to know my faith is in Him. I know He is my only hope and want my faith to be in Him but how can I know that it is
I know that I'm saved. The spirit of God has confirmed this fact with my spirit. So when I hear people say, "yeah, salvation is a gift but you can blah blah blah and maybe you were never saved or you can lose your salvation". If you can lose it you would have lost it. That would make the gospel the worst news ever. I fear that most church attenders that call themselves Christians are not born again. That's probably the truth.
I believe you are correct and that there are many false converts that are in for a rude awakening if they reject the true gospel when they finally hear it.
@@karynbanksley7110 True sister, but some may be confused since then (like Peter was, for example).
In my case I was a lukewarm Catholic, I sinned a lot and did new age occultic practices. It ruined my life and now I live in a psychiatrist hospital. I opened spiritual doors and got attacked by demons. The worst kind of attack was being raped in the dream and feeling them spiritually laying near or over me in the bed as I woke up from sleep. I went to confession, repented, prayed daily and watched deliverence videos on RUclips. I also pray in my dreams with the apostle creed and praying to archangel Michael to save me. And it helped a lot, as the prayers drive away the demons in my dreams and rebuke them in the name of Jesus.
Despite being lukewarm Catholic back then I saw the holy spirit come and fight for me from evil influences at the court room. They wanted to sentence me harcher for my crime i committed when I lost my mind by being possessed. Seeing the holy spirit was the moment I was reborn again and became a genuine believer. Two years has gone by since then I am doing much better, I still get attacked but my faith is firm and strong. If someone like me is saved then I find it hard the idea of not being saved really or the idea that you can lose salvation. I still struggle with some venial sins. The very least I have managed to quit pornography and masturbation. I still get dirty thought but they disgust me so they are surely come from a demons and are not my own thoughts.
@@user-gd8qe9lr9k Did you trust on Christ (rather than on a religion: Acts 16:31, John 10:1, John 14:6) to save you? You are saved, then, and praise God that you are my brother and fellow saint. We will see definitely each other again in Heaven, then. But until then, I pray for your earthly situation to get better, for you to be safe and well, AND for you to be able to courageously and adeptly witness Christ to those you encounter.
"We have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous" "The Spirit beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God."

Works salvation heretics are Co-redeemers for their salvation. That is a false doctrine, but their pride blinds them.
Very well put! Jesus alone is the saviour, not Jesus and me, that's ridiculous.
You dont have free will? Cool, calvanist?
All this years I've been lied to 🤦 thank God I found your channel finally all the weight is gone
Praying the prayer of salvation is pretty much universal. It’s just like them trying to “teach you” to pray in tongues. Religion does the darnest things.
Exactly brother same here. All the weight of believing that my efforts and streaks of not sinning is what God wants from me. Thank you Jesus❤️
I can’t tell you how many people have told me “we are saved by believing, but you misunderstand what it means to believe.”
I’m not misunderstanding anything, it’s them that don’t understand it, because they have to radically redefine the term to mean “work.” The thief on the cross was saved by simply believing, and the same is true for us. Hallelujah!
The Catholic's response to the thief on the cross is that God made an exception to the rule. When they say that, they are essentially arguing for dispensationalism, a creation of Protestant theology, ironically. Dispensationalism is the theory that God offers salvation differently to different people across different points in history. The only thing that would be close to that as far as I can tell is that old covenant Jews were told to atone for their sins, while under the new covenant people are not told to atone for their sins but to believe in the one who atoned for them who is Christ.
Many people don't understand what " works" mean
@@Briguy75 Like it goes deeper than merely a synonym for deeds? Wouldn't doubt it.
@@digitalwitness77 and you also trust that you’re a man, the same way you trust that Jesus died on the cross for your sins.
That's how manipulative people work they attempt to gaslight you and manipulate your reality.. just like that filthy disgusting 🐍
Thief on the cross was never water baptized, never repented of sins, never asked for forgiveness of sins, never performed any works....etc
Thief on the cross simply believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as messiah and Son of God, and was saved instantly and eternally.
Salvation doesn't require great faith, but the faith of a tiny mustard seed is enough..Jesus said it Himself " If you have the faith of a mustard seed you will say to that mountain be cast into the sea, and it will".
I feel sorry for Christians who believe their human effort aka personal righteousness contributes to their redemption, IT DOES NOT, and thats a false gospel.
Well done Oronato diamante and thank you Lord Jesus Christ for the preacher man like Oronato.
I agreed at the cross he got saved eternally that thief. But he did repent by saying to the other thief “We are here because we deserved it and said to Jesus remember me.
The thief did quite a bit of things
1. He was most likely jewish, thus being circumcised (a few months later, baptism by water and holy spirit at pentecost replaced circumcision
2. He publicly repented
3. He publicly defended Jesus christ as the son of God, and His innocence
4. He didn't presume salvation and didn't presume he was saved
5. He showed humility
6. He asked Jesus to remember Him when He came into His kingdom
7. Baptism by desire, baptism by blood
8. Death bed conversion
The point of the thief is to show us that God is willing to forgive the meek and humble heart even until your last
Thief was BEFORE Paul was commissioned as our Apostle - Acts 9:10-15.
Paul sums it up - You & I are JUSTIFIED by faith, NOT OF WORKS.
Eph 2:8-9, Gal 2:16, Rom 3:24-28, Rom 4:5-8, Titus 3:5.
This DID NOT apply to the thief.
Thief CONFESSED BY MOUTH - that's a work and was also required by Israel.
Rom 10 is to the Jews "Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved."
They had to do a work "CONFESS BY MOUTH" as well as believe.
Rom 10:9 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
That CONFESS BY MOUTH requirement is not for you/I.
@@robusc4940 Are you serious! The thief confessing was not a work but an expression of his converted heart. There is no working salvation before or after Paul conversion. From Genesis to revelation Ephesians 2:8 is. Salvation is from faith not by work. And confessing is not a work.

Amen, you have no idea how hard it is to find a good Bible believing church that actually preaches faith alone in Christ alone. Thank you for this wonderful video. Praise the Lord!!!
Jesus is trustworthy. When you believe in Him for salvation, He handles all necessary arrangements. He already made full payment by His death on the cross. He wants you to go to heaven and to not go to hell. You don’t have to worry if you are “believing the right way”, or if you have “head faith instead of heart faith”. Jesus isn’t confused about what you are wanting, and He wants you to be saved more than you do.
There are no tricks. There is no fine print, because there is no contract, only a promise made by an infinitely holy God.
Thank you for posting this. I've always wondered if my faith is strong enough. I've seen pastors that tell you that you may think you believe, but you might not....creating lots of anxiety in my mind. How would you know that you really do? I know that my sin is far too great to go to heaven, as is everyone's. God's grace, through Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection is the only thing that saves me. Nothing else, but many pastors I've heard make me doubt my salvation.
Good point

The debate between once saved always saved and losing my salvation when i commit my next sin about drove me to a loony bin. At this moment in time i rest in the promise of Jesus and yes when i look at my past is is a hard grind. But Jesus lived a life i could never live. He was crucified by evil men and shed his blood on that cross to pay my sin debt. It is almost to good to be true. But at the end of the day it is the only hope i have. And by the way i am not molesting children robbing people and other wicked acts. God disciplines his children .Sometimes rather harshly. This is excellent. Salvation has been conflated and convoluted. Salvation trickery is rampant in IFB churches...come to the altar, ask Jesus into your heart, pray and receive, etc...
This is a very comprehensive study on what faith is. Very much appreciated!

Many are jealous of the power of God unto salvation. They want you to rely on them and yourself for salvation, which is not possible!!!
I think it would be a good idea to have some resources linked in description or your bio that helps answer the question “After Salvation, what?” for new believers. Even if it was a couple churches you recommend they can attend or order from that you KNOW is doctrinally sound and teach the entire scope of doctrine. As an evangelist, point new Christians in the right direction❤
This is some good gospel preaching, brother!

You are firmly entrenched in the word " faith " . What specifically does your faith entail ? Like , what are it's component? What does it look like to an observer or potential convert ? Other than telling someone that you have faith , would they be able to see it themselves ? Also , I'm new to your channel but I haven't heard you speak of obedience. Does that have a place in your faith position ? These are all aspects of faith I believe people need to know about .
This video is well put together. Thanks.
Thank you Onorato, I so appreciate how you have helped me and I thank God for you in my prayers.

Amen Brother Ono.
Romans 4 defined belief the best for me. :)
20He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; 21And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. 22And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.
What does it mean to believe? To be fully persuaded that what God promised (that He will save you) He is also able to perform.
To be fully persuaded means you believe it is true!
I noticed that too. Hebrews 11, the faith chapter, also confirms this.
Hey brother, I was saved a few months back and coming to terms with my faith and learning/ growing. What would be your recommendation on a church that shares a sound faith alone doctrine ?

Paul did say men will come in among the flock to distort the simplicity of the gospel and distort the faith
many people when they come to put their faith in Christ usually pray a prayer something along the lines of admitting their are sinner and deserve hell thus they now putting their faith in jesus that he died on the cross for their sins and rose again from the dead so they could have eternal life in heaven.
these people should be saved right because they are just confessing what is already in their heart. the prayer is like "vehicle" or "medium" to just express that state of mind. i think that is what most Christians think. Anyway , they ask people to pray a prayer when they put their faith in jesus

baptism is professing what you believe, by being buried and raised in a watery grave, just as Jesus was buried and was raised. the water represent washing as well. symbolic, but still powerful. its like raising a flag on a flag pole. it doesnt change what nation ur in, but it say to what nation u belong

God bless you all who believe in Jesus.

Salvation is both a one-time event (accepting Jesus) and a lifelong process (growing in faith and Christ-likeness). Faith is the foundation, and a transformed life should be the natural result.
Amen Bro. It is believing on Jesus as our only way of salvation apart from any works. Romans 4:5. But to him that worketh not, but BELIEVETH On Him who JUSTIFIETH the UNGODLY, his faith is counted for RIGHTEOUSNESS. John 6:47. Verily, verily I say unto you, he that BELIEVETH on me, HATH, (present tense) EVERLASTING LIFE.
First John 5:13. These things have I written unto you that BELIEVE on the name of the Son of God, that ye may KNOW YE HAVE ETERNAL LIFE. John 3:18. Believers are no longer condemned, but UNBELIEVERS are condemned already because they have not believed on the name of the Son of God.

Philipians 3:9 KJV: And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

1 O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
2 Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;
3 And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south.
4 They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in.
5 Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.
6 Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses.
7 And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation.
8 Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
Calling on the name of the Lord, Crying out to God, and praying to God for deliverance/salvation/rescue is all throughout the Bible and is done by those who are already saved and are asking God for some kind of help in their time of distress. Believers call upon the Lord after they are saved from the penalty of sin, given new life and the new birth as God's children who are asking their eternal Father for assistance.
5:07 Missed opportunity. “Thy faith hath saved thee; go and sin no more”….No
Honest question: so if you believed on the Lord Jesus Christ you will automatically call upon him? Or you HAVE automatically called upon him? That's what Romans 10:14 seems to suggest.
1) Joe Believer believes on Jesus Christ
2) Joe Believer is spiritually regenerated(because he believed)
3) Joe Believer calls upon the name of the Lord.
It seems to me that verse 14 says 2) can't happen without 1) AND 3) can't happen without 2) AND 3) WILL happen unconditionally If and only if 2) happens.
Romans 10:14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

@@OnoDiamante I’ve seen a lot of your videos. While I agree that salvation happens the moment you believe, can you please define then what calling upon the name of the Lord actually is?
I notice that you neither define what it is nor what it is not.
So, if salvation occurs in the moment of faith, which it does, why does calling upon the name of the Lord happen right after that(which Romans 10:14 seems to imply). And why does it appear to happen automatically?
Calling upon the name of the Lord appears as far back as Gen 4:26. So it has some significance. If so, what is that significance if it’s not believing?
@@hardsayings2400 Calling upon the name of the Lord is an activity indicative of the believer. Throughout scripture, we consistently witness BELIEVERS calling upon God to worship, ask for deliverance, give thanks, etc. It’s certainly NOT the way in which you believe the Gospel. It’s significant because God desires our prayers and petitions. Every child of God should take full advantage of their ability to call upon their Father.
Question: But not everybody, at least not initially, believes. So how can they simply believe?
There's a huge difference between acknowledgement and asking. the Ethiopian and the blind man simply acknowledged what they believed in their heart. They use passages of acknowledgement as if they asked to be saved which is simply wrong
Heresy since 1517.
Amen! BELIEVE!!!
Here is some Bible twisting between the Amplified bible and the KJV. Repent means to change your mind and the means to change your mind is to be persuaded. Which this text supports. But the amplified wants to change the meaning of repent:
Amplified:
But he answered, No, father Abraham, but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent (change their minds for the better and heartily amend their ways, with abhorrence of their past sins).
He said to him, If they do not hear and listen to Moses and the Prophets, neither will they be persuaded and convinced and believe [even] if someone should rise from the dead.
Luke 16:30-31 AMPC
KJV:
And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.
And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.
Luke 16:30-31 KJV
Faith is more than "acknowledging".
Abraham's faith is broken down to three things: trust, risk, and surrender. I dont know how that would be considered difficult. Even Jesus speaks on ALL three.
What scripture shows that Jesus paid for all your sins? Is it only past sins or past present and future sins? Did Jesus die for every sin that COULD be committed or every sin that has been committed???

Read Hebrews
This one was a good one. To be a beliver you belive.
❤❤❤
Galatians 3:27 states that as many of you that were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
That is what I believe
Thanks!
Amen.
Romans 10:9 says if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart God raised him from the dead you will be saved. Now I am confused. It seems to be adding more than just believe?

@@OnoDiamante Thank you

Bro you are teaching me how far from basic logic Christianity has come. The bible is a book of faith but its based in concrete logic. Thanks brother
I cant stand heretics. Nobody ever questions what it means to believe until it comes to believing on Christ🤦🏽♂️
And Romans 10:9-10. Yes, just believe on Christ
You can only call if you already know the number. Faith precedes calling and John 3:16 tells us that whosoever believes (has faith), shall not perish but have everlasting life.
To believe in the King means to obey him
John 3:36
1599 Geneva Bible
36 He that believeth in the Son, hath everlasting life, and he that obeyeth not the Son, shall not see life, but the wrath of God abideth on him
NONE SAVED BY BOOK READERS DAY
Yay, the only thing an unbeliever can do with the Gospel, is believe it .
I thought maybe you were going to address the primitive Baptist definition of faith this time, which is equally as outlandish. Ty brother Norm
This is true biblical teaching.
🙏🙏
"Believing in" is precisely defined in John 8:30 - A condition, and an IMMEDIATE condition, of the mind only. Plus, the Bible says to "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ (John 10:9, John 14:6), not to believe on the Church/religion, as Jesus is not a church or a religion.
I have a question for anyone out there. If belief in Jesus is what it takes, could all Christians be saved? Can a works believing Christian theoretically be saved if he also believes in Jesus Christ?
“Whosoever” believes on Christ is saved. The question is, have they trusted in Christ alone? Unfortunately, many profess faith in Christ while trusting in something or someone else.

Romans 10:10 "For with the heart one believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation" !!!!!!!
Very profound argument!
He is misunderstanding what a pastor means by inviting people to accept christ. The pastor does not think that coming forward or some magic words will make them believe. They know that faith comes by hearing the word of god. Jesus also called people out publicly and asked them to step forward and separate themselves from the crowd like his disciples. This is a matter of putting your faith into action, Not the Occurrence of faith in the first place. I don't know where he got this idea. But he is misunderstood the intention or as heard.People who make a big deal about people coming forward.
💯💥💪🏽🙏🏽
For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. Romans 4 : 3.
;repent ye, and believe the gospel. Mark1:15
Romans 10:9-10 confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Mark 16:16 "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned". John 3:5 "Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God"
Are you against sinner's prayer?
If by “sinner’s prayer” you mean that prayer is necessary for salvation, yes, I’m against it.
All you gotta do is believe!
I prayed out of frustration and desperation "Oh God, if you won't save me, just send me to hell now so I don't get to live in sin anymore". But that was straight from the heart, I wasn't even thinking what I was saying. Everyone is different, some read a scripture and the Holy Spirit hits them with it. Some get saved listening to a preacher, some driving a car. You just have to trust yourself to Christ completely, he already did all the work. Stop trying to make yourself more presentable, just come to him with all your filth, and say, here I am, a dirty sinner, wash me because I can't do it. He'll do it. Or say nothing and trust him to do it, he'll still do it. He died for you, there's no prayer that can add to it.
gospel comment- Jesus died and rose agian if you believe that he died and rose and were saved by grace through faith alone you will be saved. Once Saved Always saved no need to repent from your sins for salvation.
