Looks like a good opportunity to upgrade this definition of Faith.
Example: If one "Faithfully excersizes". They have completed the perfection of excersize.
Indeed this video uses the concept "Hope". For if someone only "Hopes they excersize" and never actually does. This hope is useless.

Salvation is a gift. Matthew 7 crowd were trusting in their works, and not in Christ. Christ said to them, " I never knew you". Not that I used to know you, and then stopped knowing you.

They were initially 70 disciples; 58 of them left Jesus because they could not believe that Jesus was the Son of God. Even Judas didnt believe that Jesus was the type of messiah he imagined in his mind, thus he betrayed Jesus for Barabbas. The most important thing is the 58 plus Judas could cast out devils; the jewish exorcist as well, but they all did not believe that Jesus is the Son God who came to die for the sins of the world. Only the 11 believed on the Lord Jesus christ.

Yes, salvation is more like the involuntary functions of the body. Whether we eat healthy or not, the body is still functioning. That’s how the grace of God is. It is independent of our actions. No matter what we do, the grace of God never changes, never stops working, it’s always continually pursuing us & upholding us. Diet is 100% dependent on man. Salvation is 100% dependent on God.

@@venture7486 You obviously believed another gospel and don't understand what grace means according to the Bible. You can't save yourself by doing anything. You can only be saved by believing in Jesus Christ who died for our sins, was buried, and rose from the dead. Everything we do AFTER we are saved, we should (not required) to do good works and get rewards from Jesus for the good works we have done. Works don't earn salvation, they earn rewards. Understand the difference and teach the truth. Here is some scripture so hopefully you can further study the Word of God. Do not be deceived from false gospels!

I use to watch him before I I found your channel and a few others preaching the true gospel..it’s all about believing/faith..it’s so sad how many ppl fear going to hell because they think they haven’t done enough but all it takes is one time to believe and we receive eternal life..what a gracious and loving god we serve💕😭!! Same I follow this brother before following your channel. Its sad so many are afraid to believe that jesus is more than enough. ppl are mixing law and grace. Faith is about believing and receiving the finish works of Jesus Christ thus allowing this belief in him to be implemented into are life if we allow him too of course. Its not required but it is highly recommended.

We born again Christians would never boast in our works because we know that any good we do is God working in us through the Holy Spirit, being the potter molding the clay. We are his workmanship. He makes it almost exhausting to be perfect like he is to earn salvation. I think he’ll be surprised by totally overlooking what Jesus did for him.
Amen. Someone should ask him how many good works are necessary to really be saved, really go to heaven and whether he thinks he did enough. I'm sure he thinks he does good enough. But God requires perfection, not filthy rags. And the only way to achieve perfection is through the imputed righteousness of Christ by faith in His finished work. When I would listen to most work based or lordship salvationists most of them I was always so exhausted tired warn out and just beaten down by how much I couldn’t reach their standards of perfection. He thinks he's on the narrow road, even though by far most so called Christians think the same way, trusting in their good works. Even many, many non-Christians will say that "I'm a good person, I don't go to hell", so this goes beyond just religious people. The many are those who trust in their works, the few are those who trust in Christ alone.

One of my favorite scriptures has become John 6:28-29. Even though I have to always look to see where it is. It is hard to have been taught this type of stuff all my life, finally learned the truth but have to keep from getting pulled back in. The book of Hebrews was written to warn persecuted Christians against falling away from the faith. If someone denies Jesus and their salvation, and then returns to their old life apart from God, how will they be saved again?
It’s definitely impossible to lose your salvation on accident, but it is possible to walk away from your salvation. That’s why Jesus says to endure to the end through trials and tribulation.
Also, I’m not talking about a Christian struggling against sin. We will fall sometimes. The Bible says to confess those sins to God. Even if you deny Jesus Christ, that doesn’t mean you are unsaved. The book of Hebrews is talking about a Christian who quit having faith and returned to their old way of living apart from God.
Jesus demands faith not faithfulness, staying faithful is in fact works salvation, because you must maintain your faith till you die in order to be saved, thats a work, you must do this, you must stay faithful till the end, no matter what comes your way, you must do this, its not what Jesus did, its what you must do and this is literally works salvation, just have faith in Jesus, He never said that you must be faithful to be saved, He said you must have faith and after that it doesnt depend on you at all

I’ve never had a good feeling about that guy. He just always seemed too loose with scripture and self righteous to me, unfortunately. Leaning on his own understanding and interpretation over clear scripture. This is how most ministers are taught though
This narrow path spoke about in the Bible is only as wide as Jesus’ shoulders. People so desperately want their works to be elevated before God. We must remember Jesus did not only die for us, he also lived for us, perfectly, because we cannot do either.

I remember this video, it was one of the first Christian videos I ever watched when I first turned to Christ, and it absolutely confused the heck out of me. It made no sense. I was lead to believe that works were really important for salvation by many other content creators, so when this guy said "Jesus cares about your works" yet He lists a bunch of works and still says "depart from me" I was wondering what would ever be good enough? How could I, a mentally ill, socially anxious and agoraphobic recluse EVER be good enough or do enough? Free grace really is the only hope I have. I put my faith in Him and His works alone, absolutely and completely.

I love the irony of this guy saying that faith alone will send you to hell, then illustrates perfectly how faith alone in Jesus Christ is the only thing that will save you by quoting scripture. His applying a worldly way of thinking to Gods character. The world may work where you have to give something to get something back, like you scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours. But God doesn’t do things like the world does. he actually offers a free gift of eternal life to anyone who believes in his son Jesus alone. Romans 4 is talking about works but not works of the law because Abraham is before the law. Abraham was not saved by works. Simply works are not going to earn eternal life. Eternal life is a free gift. We should do good works Titus 3:8 but we are not saved by our works. Titus 3:5

I have been watching this guy on and off, and.. at first he seemed pretty good. But then, I recognized he believes in Lordship salvation, which is grace + works. Soo, I'm glad you did a video on this. Matthew 7 seems like a passage that many teachers misunderstand or use to cast doubt on people's justification. It seems like a revivalist thing, because revivalism depends on people repenting of sin constantly. So it's one of those verses that fuels that experience.
Same when I was a babe in Christ I would watch him but after this video he is getting a lot of backlash in the comments and he is not saved.

Gods work is also found in John 6:28,29. Salvation is as easy as believing as found in John 3:16.
Be real with yourself. You are flawed and have fallen short of Gods perfection. You commit one sin you are guilty of all (James 2:10). You are not co-savior. Jesus did it all on the cross. If you believe IN Jesus and WHAT he did for you on the cross he takes your sin and imputes his righteous. Once you believe you are sealed with the Holy Spirit and you can’t unseal your self

I'm sick of these guys teaching works. I always wonder do they know it's a lie and are just trying to keep people from the truth? It's unfortunate because those that are vulnerable to believe these lies have to suffer. I know the crowd that has anxiety will drift to these guys because I was like that. Until I wasn't. I can hardly listen to people like these. This man talks absolutely in a wordly way, comparing biblical, spiritual things with modern language and wordly figures of speech. It's like those who say "believing is just a mental assessment". This is like the serpent in Eden twisting God's Word and questioning it. And how he completely misrepresents, twists Matthew 7:21-23, saying these people "just have a belief", that is nowhere mentioned there! It's the other way around: They just have works, but no faith! They walk (being religious), but they don't walk in the Spirit of God. Because they're not saved. Never known. "Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods. But now, after that ye *have known God, or rather are known of God,* how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?" (Gal 4:8-9 KJV) "I am the good shepherd, and *know my sheep, and am known of mine."* (Jhn 10:14 KJV) Being saved equals knowing God and being known by God. If you were never known, you were never saved, that's what it means according to Scripture. But people prefer to lean on their own understanding instead of Scripture and twist it to their own false doctrine and go to hell for it.
It is a FAT LIE that having faith alone will take someone to hell. How these people bold-facedly make God's promise of eternal life through faith in Jesus a lie, makes me wonder!

They were initially 70 disciples; 58 of them left Jesus because they could not believe that Jesus was the Son of God. Even Judas didnt believe that Jesus was the type of messiah he imagined in his mind, thus he betrayed Jesus for Barabbas. The most important thing is the 58 plus Judas could cast out devils; the jewish exorcist as well, but they all did not believe that Jesus is the Son God who came to die for the sins of the world. Only the 11 believed on the Lord Jesus christ.
