Worked for me update worked once then dead again. In actual fact just switch them on the coil itself they are the same wires that run direct to the coil why cut them?
Not real sure why I didn't do it that way because it's been a little while since I had this bike..but the repair I did on mine was still working when I sold it 7 months later
Where I found the information to do this the guy had installed an aftermarket one but I did it on my original one that was factory to the bike and it worked
I'm not sure what originally caused this to happen it was just being ridden and shut off like it ran out of gas, I guess something shorted in the cdi box but switching those two wires made of mine start getting fire again
Did you keep the stock cdi or did you put the new one on

Mines doing the same thing but I'm scared to be cutting wires
@StevenRostad I completely understand that,hate to cut wires and that not be the problem

Did you check for fire and fuel before you try to do this?
