Another way to get the contemplative (calm alertness) effects of green tea is to take a combination of caffeine and l-theanine. I take 180-200 mg caffeine (in powder form, weighed on a milligram scale) plus 350-400 mg l-theanine, plus 1200-1400 mg l-citrulline (dl-malate 2:1). This approach gives much finer control. You can vary the amounts and ratios, tailor it to your individual physiology, and know exactly how much you are getting. One can argue endlessly about which is better, but in my experience this is better than the powdered leaves. I get plenty of phytonutrients and antioxidants from a wide variety nutrient-dense greens and other vegetables and sources.
I’ve been enjoying some super foods here in Belize, I was having quite a bit of pain when I arrived. Eating Moringa, Chaya, Macha green tea with Yuzo, Sour sop, mangoes, coconut water, spirulina. The meat here is very clean, and the eggs don’t need refrigeration. Chicken in America was rubbery- here it is velvety, soft. All of my veggies are fresh, I miss salad though. There is not a variety of lettuces in the village.
I think this man is a wonderful teacher.
